“Where are you, honey?”
She took a sip of her tea while eating the slice of double chocolate cake baked by Kate, “I am at Kate’s place.” She could feel him rolling his eyes. He had been doing it ever since she had started visiting her friends by using her newly discovered power.
Kate was looking at her curiously.
“Get your ass here. We need to talk, Zella.”
“Let me finish this tea and cake slice. I can’t leave it like this.”
She could hear Ezequiel’s frustration in his voice, “Using your power while you are pregnant, Hazel. I think you need to stop doing that.”
Hazel did not respond back.
“Hazel?”
Hazel ignored his voice and started talking to Kate.
“Hazel. Better go to your husband. He must be missing you.” There was understanding in Kate’s eyes.
