Hi my lovely readers! We are at the end of the book. The next chapter is the epilogue. There won't be an update tomorrow as I'm going to be spending the whole day writing the epilogue and perfecting it. I don't want to rush it. I want to take my time and make sure it's perfect. Thank you so much for reading my books and following Harris and Atticus on their journey. :)
Third Person's POV Xavier stuck the bottle into the warmer and nervously glanced at Theo. The Omega rocked back and forth as Vivian fed from him. Damien was out cold on the couch due to Vivian having a hard time sleeping last night so the Beta was up with her. Xavier scratched the back of his neck as he struggled to find words for the Omega. He felt beyond guilty for the thoughts that went through his head at the hospital, and for the way he snapped at Theo when he asked a simple question about their child's name. Xavier hated the thoughts that went through his head when he felt Damien die and he hated that those thoughts didn't go away while he waited for Damien to wake up. The Alpha wasn't sure what to say, or how to make amends, or how to make things right again. Xavier wished Theo would be mad at him. He wanted the Omega to lash out, shout at him, yell, scream, or hit him. He felt he deserved it and so much more. After laying Vivian in her swing, Theo went back into the kit
Third Person's POV It's been 5 years since Harris had their first child. A year and a half later their son Niles was born. He's an omega, a dragon/werewolf hybrid at the curious age of 3 and 1/2. Atticus doesn't know if they'll have any more kids. But his heart is content knowing he and his mate brought two dragons into this world. Not only that, they honored his Father and the Dad he had for such a short time. Michael got over his anger with Noah removing his tubes rather quickly. Asher on the other hand had to keep his walls up constantly. Onyx was devastated. He had hoped for more children, even though Noah expressed his desire not to have anymore. Onyx couldn't wrap his head around why Noah would take something like that from him. He didn't understand it, even after Asher's explanation. Onyx wished he would have kept a closer eye on Noah. The Alpha wolf was adamant that he would have never let the Omega take something like that from him. The Alpha wolf was so angry at Noah, tha
Third Person's POV Grayson laughed as he ran from his growling brother. Ezra didn't find it funny when his brother froze his entire bowl of soup as he dug his spoon into it. The little King tried to ignore his brother as he brought his cup of juice to his mouth just to have the frozen contents slide out and hit his nose. Ezra growled as he reached out and shocked Grayson. The Future Alpha King yelped and then took off running with Ezra hot on his tail. Silas ran his hand down his face as he watched the two brothers chase each other around the yard. Grayson, now 10, created a snowball in his hand and threw it at his brother, hitting him square in the nose. This only infuriated Ezra and the 8-year-old thrust his hands forward, shocking Grayson. Grayson grunts as his body falls to the ground mid-sprint. Grayson blinks his eyes just in time to see Ezra lunging for him. His eyes widened as he tried to roll away but he was too late. The younger brother landed on top of Grayson and quickl
Third Person’s POV The sound of Evelyn's laughter rings out. The little Omega covers her mouth while she laughs at the icing all over Nadja's face. The Elder was taken off guard this time. Evelyn didn't give him a chance to anticipate what was coming. She simply called his name and when the elder turned she stuffed a cupcake into his face. As shocked as Nadja was, the beautiful sound of her laughter was worth it. He sat there for a moment before bringing the napkin in his lap to his face. Evelyn continued to laugh as she stood up and took the napkin from Nadja. The Omega sat sideways on his lap as she cleaned the icing from his face. After wiping the icing from his eyes they fluttered open and Evelyn froze, her breath caught and her heart skipped a beat for the first time. Nadja froze when he heard her heart skip. For a moment the Elder couldn't move. After a moment Nadja reached up and took the napkin with one hand while bringing his left hand to her creamy white cheek. “Thank y
Atticus' POV The night was cooler than last night. The sound of my men chatting lightly fades as I stare at the fire and listen to the flames crackle. I enjoy the warmth of the flames against my skin, and the way the flames seem to dance, it's almost hypnotizing. I feel myself relaxing as I drown everyone out with the flames... That was until a certain annoying Beta plops down beside me, his shoulder bumping me, jarring me from my peaceful little bubble. "Oh man, you missed it! Alice went to use the bathroom and as she was looking for a tree, she didn't realize Austin was also out there using the bathroom and he ripped ass dropping a log right as she rounded the tree and saw him. That girl came running back to the camp faster than I've ever seen her run!" Tristan nudged me with his arm as he laughed. I will admit, that was a little comical. I'm sure if I could laugh, I would. But I'm convinced it's impossible for me to laugh. My arm gets nudged again and my attention is once again
Third Person's POV The night was rapidly getting cooler than the previous night. The Alpha's men moved closer to the flames, trying to stay warm. Atticus stares at the flames, something he loves to do. Fire fascinates him, he's so drawn to it. He loves the way it flickers and dances to its own beat. A sudden squeak from a little Omega has Atticus looking in his direction. Annabelle laughs as the little Omega frowns at him before squirming around in her lap as he gets comfortable. The Alpha watches his Beta make his rounds through the group. Making sure he chats with everyone, trying to make them laugh. Most of the pack members love talking to Tristan. Their eyes light up when it's finally their turn, and a smile stretches across their faces. It's only when he reaches the Delta 1 warriors that he receives resistance. But even they love him, even though they seem annoyed. Atticus's eyes go to Austin as he talks about the bracelet that was passed down from one generation to another
Third Person's POV The little Omega clung tightly to Tristan and then he began to squirm as they entered camp. He was eager to see the Alpha. He was so glad he didn't feel the Alpha get hurt again. An arrow went straight through the Alpha's chest and pierced his lung, barely missing his heart one time. The little Omega's feet were moving as soon as they touched the ground and he took off running toward the Alpha. It didn't take the Alpha long to find his backpack when he saw the little Omega running toward him with a backpack tightly strapped to his back. "River, quick, I need my backpack." River quickly pulled the backpack off and handed it to his Alpha. Atticus wasted no time opening the backpack and digging through it until he found the jar of Draven's saliva. Atticus quickly dropped to Annette's side and reached into the jar “Hang on Annette” Atticus said as he began applying Draven's saliva to her wounds. Annette hissed and gripped Austin at the painful stinging sensation
Third Person's POV Atticus tried to pretend he was listening as Tristan told one of the many stories of his teenage life for what seemed like the 100th time. Atticus heard these stories so many times, he knows them by heart. But as much as it annoys Atticus to hear these stories over and over again, he can't bring himself to quiet his Beta or remind him how many times he's heard these stories. These are stories of people Tristan will never see again. Experiences that he can only remember, instead of having new ones with people who were once family, friends, and fellow pack members. So instead he keeps quiet, nodding his head and letting his friend reminisce and remember the good times he had with those who are long gone. "So, who do you think will be River's mate?" Tristan asked, catching the Alpha off guard. Atticus furrowed his eyebrows at his Beta and tilted his head. "I don't know. What makes you so sure his mate will be in our pack?" "I'm not. But aren't you curious to know?
