I had turned the shower temperature all the way down to the most ridiculous freezing point you could imagine. After ten minutes of sitting here letting the ice cold water beat down on my body, my skin already feels sore. The next thing I know, I’m grinding my teeth together while clutching my arms in this cold, empty bathroom.

Wait, why does it bother me that it’s empty? Or that I’m the only one in here?

That’s how it should be, right?

I mean who in the right mind would possibly feel sad for acknowledging the fact that she’s alone, in her own freaking bathroom?!

I’m literally going insane. Yeah, that’s it.

Or perhaps I let the water flood my brain. Groaning, I turn the faucet off before hopping out of the shower, my entire body shaking from the ice-cold water that threatens to chill me to the bone. Grabbing a towel, I wrap it above my chest and sigh when the sound of my stomach rumbling echoes through the four walls enclosing me.
