Astrid's POV

I, along with my father, headed towards the base camp set by the soldiers of both of the kinds. Finding out about the creature's motive and the one giving him orders was necessary. Because even if right he was caught, she was on the lose.

There is nothing stopping her from finding another deer for doing her dirty work while she lived anonymously. Taking a full breath was out of question and I was craving to take my real form because of the anxiety and lack of breath, but I had to calm down.

I looked at my father sitting beside in the car, he was looking outside with his hand on his lips and elbow resting near the window. He was still in deep thoughts and I decided not to disturb him. The car ride remained silent until we reached out destination and we stood outside.
