STACY.

“Can you please move that vase a little to the left?” I give instructions to one of the omega servants present in the room.

“Yes my lady,” she replies politely with a nod as she moves the vase.

The air is buzzing with excitement as I make my way around the dining room, ensuring every detail is perfect. The aroma of roasted lamb and honey-glazed vegetables mingles with the sweet scent of wildflowers I’d carefully arranged on the long table fill my home.

Everything has to be flawless tonight. I’ve waited for this moment—my son’s naming ceremony—since the day I married my fated mate Jason Barron, the Alpha of Midnight Pack two years ago.

Tonight, I finally present my newborn son to my in-laws and the two elders, as the future Alpha.

"That should do it," I whisper to myself, smoothing the edge of the tablecloth. My eyes drift to the centerpiece—Jason’s favorite white orchids intertwined with emerald vines. It’s perfect.

"Everything looks perfect Luna, you should get ready for your guests now," my head omega servant says softly from behind me, her voice filled with a mix of respect and urgency.

I turn to her and smile, gratitude swelling in my chest. "Thank you Ava. I’ll head up now."

With one last glance around the room, I dash upstairs, my heart fluttering with anticipation. As I step into my bedroom, the soft coos of my son greet me. "There’s my little warrior," I whisper, cradling him gently in my arms. His bright blue eyes, so much like Jason’s, blink up at me.

"Tonight, you meet grandma and grandpa as they give you your name." I say to him but he blinks innocently unaware of what was going on around him.

I quickly shift my attention to dress him in the tiny white ceremonial robe that has been in Jason’s family for generations.

"You look like a prince," I murmur, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead and place him on my bed. Then I turn to the mirror, quickly fixing my hair and wearing the pink silken dress I’ve chosen for the evening.

But as I adjust the necklace Jason gave me on our wedding day, a small knot of worry forms in my stomach. I’ve tried calling him several times, but he hasn’t answered.

‘He must be busy,’ I tell myself. Jason is a responsible Alpha, and running the largest pack in the southern region comes with its pressures…

By the time I descend the stairs with the baby in my arms, my special guests have already begun to arrive. I greet them with warm smiles and polite small talk, but my eyes keep flickering to the doorway, expecting Jason to walk through at any moment.

"Luna Stacy, you’ve outdone yourself," Jason’s mother, Linda says as she kisses me on the cheek. She is a kind loving person.

"I’m just glad you could all make it," I reply, my smile faltering slightly as I notice Alpha John, my father-in-law’s stern gaze flicker to the clock. His is the opposite of his wife.

“What's keeping Jason so long, doesn't he know we are waiting on him?” Alpha John asks sternly.

I only mange to offer a sincere apology smile…I'm starting to get angry at my husband as well but I keep it together.

He knows what today is, so what was keeping him busy upto now?

Minutes pass, each one stretching longer than the last. My hand tightens around my son’s tiny fingers as the knot in my stomach grows. I force myself to laugh at a joke one of the elders makes, though my thoughts are elsewhere…

“If Jason doesn't walk through that door in the next five minutes, I'm sorry Stacy but we are leaving… This is so disrespectful even if he is Alpha,” John says with veins popping out of the side of his neck. I knew he had lost the patience to wait for his son.

“Oh come on darling, we are not here for Jason but our grandpup,” Linda tries to remind her husband but he just looks like he was ready to walk out of the house five minutes ago.

My anxiety starts to get the best of me, I bite back my lips… He better have a good explanation why he is late. I offer a refill to everyone's drinks but everyone refuses.

They had each ten glasses or more of their drinks while we waited. I can't blame them if they have had enough.

I forced a smile when finally, the front door creaks open, and my heart leaps as my mate's intoxicating scent reach my nose. But the sight that greets me turns my blood cold.

Jason dressed in his navy blue suit walks in, his arm wrapped around a beautiful woman with flowing red hair, her eyes alight with something akin to mischief.

I immediately get up from my seat, "Jason, honey…I didn't know we are having an extra guest?" My voice falters as the room falls into an uneasy silence. All eyes are on the Alpha as he leads the strange woman to the center of the room.

"Stacy," Jason begins, his tone devoid of the warmth I’m used to. "I have an announcement to make."

“It better be an important one for keeping us waiting,” his father growls but Jason pays no attention to him like wasn't in the room.

My heart pounds in my chest, each beat more frantic than the last.

“We are listening son,” Linda says as she tries to diffuse the growing tension in the room.

"I’m divorcing Stacy," Jason announces, his voice unwavering, "to marry Nicole Cruz, my childhood sweetheart." He points to the woman standing next to him who smiles and waves at everyone in the room with a crimson smile.

My world tilts on its axis. The words echo in my mind, louder and louder until they drown out everything else.

What is going on??

My throat tightens, the air around me thickening as if the walls themselves are closing in.

"But why?" I whisper, my voice barely audible, even to myself. I'm unable to believe his betrayal.

Jason doesn’t even glance at the child in my arms. "Because this has been a long time coming, Stacy. I’ve only stayed this long out of obligation and not love."

My legs tremble, my grip on my son tightening as I struggle to keep my composure.

What does Jason mean he only stayed out of obligation. We are fated mates. We love each other. I want to scream, to demand answers, to make sense of the betrayal unfolding before my eyes. But the words won’t come. All I can do is stand there, frozen in place, as my perfect evening shatters into a million pieces.

STACY. “But why the guards? Are they under house arrest or something?” I ask curiously and Daniel chuckle in amusement. “There are guards because… well, your father's health isn't stable at the moment. So if they need help immediately, the guards can help instead of waiting on an ambulance to take him to the hospital.” he explains. I swallow hard, my nerves flaring up. My stupid selfish decision to marry Jason cost my father all this. I can't help but feel regret and shame. I shouldn't have left in the first place... Things could have been different. I heave a sigh and gather my courage to face my parents. This is it. The moment I’ve dreaded and hoped for all at once. I don’t know if they’ll welcome me back or shut me out, but I have to try. I have to ask for forgiveness. Daniel gets out of the car and opens the door for me like a gentleman. I lift Liam into my arms, my legs shaking as we approach the house. The guards nod respectfully to Daniel, letting us through without

STACY. "This woman with a pup claims to be your daughter Alpha," One of the warriors answers the handsome man's question. As I stand there, my eyes locked on the young man in front of me, I can hardly believe it. "Daniel Black? You're... Alpha?" The disbelief in my voice is clear. He gives me a soft, almost hesitant smile. “Luna Stacy White or maybe I should say Stacy Barron?” My heart clench at the mention of the Barron's name, but I compose myself and respond firmly, “It's just Stacy white… but you Alpha? Since when?” I ask, my voice shaking with disbelief. Daniel steps closer to me with a smirk and licks his lips. “I know, it’s a lot to take in and I'm guessing you are here to see your parents… come, I will take you to them and I’ll explain everything.” I nod dumbfoundingly while I follow him, still trying to wrap my head around it. Daniel Black—my ex boyfriend, the beta’s son—is now the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack? My mind races as I trail behind him toward the sl

STACY. I turn back to Liam, brushing my fingers over his soft cheek, grounding myself in his calm breaths. Nate’s words sting more than I expected. Like he knows anything about what I’ve been through, what I gave up and what I lost. "For your information, I'm not interested in mate-hunting not after everything I've been through," I snap, my voice low but sharp. "I'm just trying to keep my son alive." Nate raises an eyebrow, unimpressed. “Sure. But running from your baby daddy and ending up half-dead in the woods? Doesn’t exactly scream ‘stable environment.’” I clench my fists. “You know, for someone who has a lot to say about my life, you don’t know anything about me or my life, so stop acting like you do.” He shrugs again. “You’re right. I don’t. And I don’t want to. Just don’t expect me to feel sorry for you.” “Good,” I grit out. “I’m not looking for sympathy.” We glare at each other for a beat. The silence stretches taut between us until Liam stirs a little in his sle

STACY. I wake up slowly while my head throbs painfully and my body aches. The air around me smells unfamiliar – wood, herbs, something earthly. I try to sit but every inch in my body protests in pain. Panic sets in as I take in my surroundings. This isn't the pack house and certainly isn't my guest house… I freeze when I notice a man sitting in the corner of the room, watching me like a hawk watching its prey. My heart leaps into my throat. Jason? He got me? My first instinct is to attack and flee, but as I focus on him, I realize it isn't him. This man is different. Brown hair, huge rough beard, and eyes sharp but not hostile. “Who are you?” I don't waste time to find out. The man stirs a little in his seat. “Tch. You're awake. Good. Maybe now you'll stop thrashing around like a lunatic.” His voice is steady but laced with irritation. “Relax. You're safe. Not that you're acting like it.” My eyes narrow. Wow. Rude much? That was not the voice of someone trying to reassur

JASON. “Jason, Jason, you honestly can't let your mom insult me in my own house. I'm to be Luna in a few days. She needs to respect me,” Nicole presses me further to say or do something about my mother uncalled for behavior but I won't pick a side. "Jason, Jay.... Say something!" she snaps. A take a mouthfull of whiskey and respond to her or else she wasn't going to stop nagging me. “What do you want me to say? She is my mother and you are my fiancee. I won't pick a side when it comes to the both of you,” Nicole pouts, “Ah, you are just useless when you get drunk,” with that she storms out of the living room, leaving me in my grief. I can't believe Stacy and my heir are gone just like the wind…. Even though I divorced Stacy, I still wanted her around me and I don't know why. Could it be I still had feelings for her? Na… I love Nicole. She is my childhood sweetheart and she knows me better than Stacy did… But Stacy and I were fated and in all honesty, I think I loved her more…I

JASON. “Alpha, Alpha…” I’m ripped out of sleep by the sound of pounding at my door. I groan with irritation while I glance at the bedside clock to check on the time. It was 02:43 AM in the morning. There better be a good reason I'm being woken up at this hour. “What is it?” I respond groggily as I sit up. Nicole is dead in her sleep as she doesn't even stir at the noise. My head warrior at the mansion peeps in his head into my room, his face tight with urgency. “Alpha, there’s been an accident.” he whispers. An accident?! The haze in my mind clears instantly. I leap out of bed, my heart racing. “What kind of accident?” I bark, already pulling on my clothes, the adrenaline surging through me. “A car, a few miles out north. You need to come now,” he says, his voice thick with something unspoken and dark. Before I can process his words, Liam's nanny appears in the doorway, clutching a baby bottle while her face is pale as a ghost. “Alpha...” she starts, her voice sh
