STACY
“Why you ungrateful mutt, is this the nonsense you called us for?” Jason's father is the first person to erupt at his announcement. Alpha John might be the former Alpha but he still command with dominance and power whenever he spoke. Jason scoffs at his father's words which I had never seen before. This isn't the man I know. For a moment, I can’t breathe. Jason's words echo repeatedly in the air like a death sentence. ‘He can’t be serious.’ I force myself to speak in-between John scolding his son. "Jay… is this some kind of joke?" My voice is trembling but not more than my legs. Jason’s cold eyes meet mine, and the chill in his gaze sends a shiver down my spine. "I’m not joking, Stacy," he says flatly, as if discussing the weather. My world spins, and suddenly, everything around me fades. The murmurs of our guests, the soft music playing in the background—it all goes mute. I can see Jason’s parents scolding him some more, their faces red with anger, but their words don’t reach me. It’s like I’m watching a silent film, detached from reality. ‘How can this be happening?’ I think back to our perfect two years of marriage. Every moment, every smile, every kiss. I remember how perfect it all seemed, how Jason and I were the envy of the packs even though my parents were against the marriage from the start, but I didn’t listen. I thought love would be enough, that our bond was unbreakable. But now, here I am, standing in a room full of people, while the man I love announces he’s leaving me for someone else. I can’t believe it. I won’t believe it. My newborn son’s cries break through the fog that surrounds me, snapping me back to the present. I look down at him, his tiny face scrunched up in distress. The room comes rushing back into focus, and I realize Jason and his father, John, are nose to nose, the tension between them palpable. "I won’t let you disgrace our family like this!" John’s voice booms, his fists clenched at his sides. "Stay out of it, old man, no one ever interferes into your marriage issues," Jason snaps back, his eyes burning with anger. The two Alphas are seconds away from tearing into each other, their energy crackling through the air like a live wire. "Stop!" I call out, but my voice is swallowed by the chaos. I take a deep breath and, with as much composure as I can muster, I say louder, "Please, stop this. Jason, can I have a word with you?" Jason doesn’t even look at me. His arm tightens around Nicole, pulling her closer. "Say whatever you need to say right here, Stacy. I don’t have time for private conversations." My heart sinks at his callousness, but I know I can’t let this go. Not like this. "Why, Jason? Why the sudden divorce? Did I do anything wrong?" I manage to ask, my voice barely more than a whisper. Jason scoffs, a cruel smile playing on his lips. "Why?" he repeats, as if the answer should be obvious. "Because I never loved you, Stacy. I only married you to fulfill my duty to the pack, to sire an heir since age was catching up on me... But I’ve always been waiting for Nicole to come back to me. She’s the one I love, not you." ‘NOT YOU!?’ His words cut deeper than any knife could. I feel the blood drain from my face, my heart shattering into a thousand pieces. ‘He never loved me?’ My mind struggles to process the confession, to make sense of the past two years. How could I have been so blind? Jason’s father, John, steps forward, his face contorted with fury. "You little shit! Apologize to your wife! Apologize to everyone here for this disgrace!" Jason doesn’t flinch. "I’m not apologizing to anyone, least of all Stacy," he says coldly. "The only person I owe anything to is Nicole." The room goes deathly quiet. In a flash of movement, John punches Jason square in the jaw, sending him staggering backward. The force of the blow reverberates through the room, leaving everyone frozen in shock. My baby’s cries grow louder, more frantic. Jason glares at his father, his eyes dark with rage. He looks like he’s about to lunge back at John, but his mother, Linda and the two elders, steps between them. Linda is in tears and I can't help but feel sorry for her because she obviously can't pick a side as one was her husband and the other her son. "Please, Jason, leave," she begs. "Not here, not now. Two Alphas fighting in front of a baby isn’t what any of us want." For a moment, I see a flicker of conflict in Jason’s eyes, but then he snorts, dismissing it. Without another word, he grabs Nicole’s hand and storms out of the house, leaving me standing there, more shattered than before. The door slams shut behind them, the sound echoing in the silence of the room. I feel myself start to crumble, but I hold on, if only for the tiny life in my arms that needs me to be strong. My perfect world has been shattered, but right now, I can’t afford to fall apart. Not in front of my guests anyway.STACY. “But why the guards? Are they under house arrest or something?” I ask curiously and Daniel chuckle in amusement. “There are guards because… well, your father's health isn't stable at the moment. So if they need help immediately, the guards can help instead of waiting on an ambulance to take him to the hospital.” he explains. I swallow hard, my nerves flaring up. My stupid selfish decision to marry Jason cost my father all this. I can't help but feel regret and shame. I shouldn't have left in the first place... Things could have been different. I heave a sigh and gather my courage to face my parents. This is it. The moment I’ve dreaded and hoped for all at once. I don’t know if they’ll welcome me back or shut me out, but I have to try. I have to ask for forgiveness. Daniel gets out of the car and opens the door for me like a gentleman. I lift Liam into my arms, my legs shaking as we approach the house. The guards nod respectfully to Daniel, letting us through without
STACY. "This woman with a pup claims to be your daughter Alpha," One of the warriors answers the handsome man's question. As I stand there, my eyes locked on the young man in front of me, I can hardly believe it. "Daniel Black? You're... Alpha?" The disbelief in my voice is clear. He gives me a soft, almost hesitant smile. “Luna Stacy White or maybe I should say Stacy Barron?” My heart clench at the mention of the Barron's name, but I compose myself and respond firmly, “It's just Stacy white… but you Alpha? Since when?” I ask, my voice shaking with disbelief. Daniel steps closer to me with a smirk and licks his lips. “I know, it’s a lot to take in and I'm guessing you are here to see your parents… come, I will take you to them and I’ll explain everything.” I nod dumbfoundingly while I follow him, still trying to wrap my head around it. Daniel Black—my ex boyfriend, the beta’s son—is now the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack? My mind races as I trail behind him toward the sl
STACY. I turn back to Liam, brushing my fingers over his soft cheek, grounding myself in his calm breaths. Nate’s words sting more than I expected. Like he knows anything about what I’ve been through, what I gave up and what I lost. "For your information, I'm not interested in mate-hunting not after everything I've been through," I snap, my voice low but sharp. "I'm just trying to keep my son alive." Nate raises an eyebrow, unimpressed. “Sure. But running from your baby daddy and ending up half-dead in the woods? Doesn’t exactly scream ‘stable environment.’” I clench my fists. “You know, for someone who has a lot to say about my life, you don’t know anything about me or my life, so stop acting like you do.” He shrugs again. “You’re right. I don’t. And I don’t want to. Just don’t expect me to feel sorry for you.” “Good,” I grit out. “I’m not looking for sympathy.” We glare at each other for a beat. The silence stretches taut between us until Liam stirs a little in his sle
STACY. I wake up slowly while my head throbs painfully and my body aches. The air around me smells unfamiliar – wood, herbs, something earthly. I try to sit but every inch in my body protests in pain. Panic sets in as I take in my surroundings. This isn't the pack house and certainly isn't my guest house… I freeze when I notice a man sitting in the corner of the room, watching me like a hawk watching its prey. My heart leaps into my throat. Jason? He got me? My first instinct is to attack and flee, but as I focus on him, I realize it isn't him. This man is different. Brown hair, huge rough beard, and eyes sharp but not hostile. “Who are you?” I don't waste time to find out. The man stirs a little in his seat. “Tch. You're awake. Good. Maybe now you'll stop thrashing around like a lunatic.” His voice is steady but laced with irritation. “Relax. You're safe. Not that you're acting like it.” My eyes narrow. Wow. Rude much? That was not the voice of someone trying to reassur
JASON. “Jason, Jason, you honestly can't let your mom insult me in my own house. I'm to be Luna in a few days. She needs to respect me,” Nicole presses me further to say or do something about my mother uncalled for behavior but I won't pick a side. "Jason, Jay.... Say something!" she snaps. A take a mouthfull of whiskey and respond to her or else she wasn't going to stop nagging me. “What do you want me to say? She is my mother and you are my fiancee. I won't pick a side when it comes to the both of you,” Nicole pouts, “Ah, you are just useless when you get drunk,” with that she storms out of the living room, leaving me in my grief. I can't believe Stacy and my heir are gone just like the wind…. Even though I divorced Stacy, I still wanted her around me and I don't know why. Could it be I still had feelings for her? Na… I love Nicole. She is my childhood sweetheart and she knows me better than Stacy did… But Stacy and I were fated and in all honesty, I think I loved her more…I
JASON. “Alpha, Alpha…” I’m ripped out of sleep by the sound of pounding at my door. I groan with irritation while I glance at the bedside clock to check on the time. It was 02:43 AM in the morning. There better be a good reason I'm being woken up at this hour. “What is it?” I respond groggily as I sit up. Nicole is dead in her sleep as she doesn't even stir at the noise. My head warrior at the mansion peeps in his head into my room, his face tight with urgency. “Alpha, there’s been an accident.” he whispers. An accident?! The haze in my mind clears instantly. I leap out of bed, my heart racing. “What kind of accident?” I bark, already pulling on my clothes, the adrenaline surging through me. “A car, a few miles out north. You need to come now,” he says, his voice thick with something unspoken and dark. Before I can process his words, Liam's nanny appears in the doorway, clutching a baby bottle while her face is pale as a ghost. “Alpha...” she starts, her voice sh
