Jacob's POV
I was so worried for Maya, I wish I did not provoke her like I did. She would have not left and suffered like this.
I didn't want a mate, I didn't want to end up like my father. Even after his death, he didn't get angry with her. He was deeply hurt by that woman's betrayal and yet, he still loves her. But now, I can't blame him. I feel the love he was talking about. The bond that made him forgive that awful woman that hurt him.
