Ava's point of view

I woke up the next morning with the sun shining in my face. The sound of blue birds singing to me, ushering me into a new day.

A soft smile touched my face as my mind ran-over through all that happened last night. I couldn't control the ticking bomb of happiness threatening to go off at any moment within my chest. Yesterday night was the best that I ever had, it was magical. The way Kaden made me feel complete, I wasn't going to ever forget it.

I stretched my hands to feel the warmth of my mate beside me, but the other side was cold. I scan around to notice that Kaden is gone. It was six in the morning, I guess he had urgent matters to attend to. But I really would have wanted his face to be the first I see when I woke up.

I noticed a piece of paper by a desk closest to the bed. I stretch taking it in my hands.

'I woke up early and you looked pretty sleeping, I decided not to wake you. I'll see you soon, love.’ the note read and I smiled. The sound of my grumbling
