Chapter 1/The beginning.

Darling’s POV.

I cringe when I make the mistake of opening my eyes and looking into the dual brown eyes of the stranger that’s hovering over me without realizing I closed my legs and the stranger's chuckle was deep and rumbled in his chest.

“For this to work and for you to get paid you have to open your legs,” His voice sent shivers down my spine as he spoke my cheeks turned a shade of red to say I was embarrassed would be an understatement when I’m laying underneath him completely exposed, pieces of myself no one had seen before until now that is.

Being a half human in the realm of the magic lands comes at its costs. My father Nolan is a human who fell in with Fae, they lived for sixteen years on the run until one day when the Fae prince found us. My mother Maeve was the only one of us with any magic but she wasn’t strong enough to fight royal blood and he killed her within minutes. My dad grabbed me and dragged me away screaming and crying but he had to. It was only a matter of time before the prince came for us. That's been four years ago now and we’re still running. Nolan does what he can to earn money he loves to wheel and deal. He would never let anyone touch me…until now he’s selling my body for money and when I refused to do it he threatened to turn me into the Fae prince.

Any other time I would have said he’s full of shit but he’s been down on his luck lately and he owes a lot of creatures money and he knows they would kill him if he doesn’t hold up his end of the bargain.

“Relax, it will only hurts for a moment,” His voice grumbled and before I could ask what he meant by that a gasp left my lips as something hard pressed against my entrance. I flattened my palms against his chest and pushed him away but he pinned both my hands above my head. He's strong. I know he’s a magic being. I just can’t place what he is.

“You can’t back out now Darling, I paid your father for his own daughter’s virginity,” He laughed, my stomach dropped at the mischievous grin across his face. It seemed like hours had passed when the stranger finally climbed off me. He never spoke a word, just walked to the bathroom and closed the door I stayed put. I never moved, just laid there staring at the door waiting to see if he was coming back for more.

Oh god, please let him leave. I don't think I can take another round with him. When he finally came out of the bathroom his short black hair was drenched he showered washing off the dirty mess he created. “Go shower, I have to drop you off an thirty minutes,”

I didn’t wait for him to say it twice. I ran to the bathroom. Something was dripping from between my legs but I didn’t care I wasn’t stopping until the bathroom door was locked and I was safe away from him. Even though I knew in my mind this wooden door wouldn’t stop him from getting in but right now in this moment I pushed that thought away and started the shower.

I scrubbed myself raw trying to scrub away skin. I feel so dirty. Three days that’s how long it took for word to spread along the magical creatures of the whore that’s selling herself for money and Nolan has taken that opportunity every chance he gets. He’s even more ruthless than the men that pay to sleep with me. I guess the Magic lands has never had a whore in its history before because Nolan has men waiting at the door sometimes he makes me have more than three men a night. My body is sore. I still haven’t fully recovered from the first one and I’ve already had more than ten men since that.

Not tonight though, luckily for me the fae prince is hosting some fancy party to celebrate his engagement and all magical beings must attend.

“I got good news.” Nolan said with a wide grin on his face.

“I really don’t care right now dad. I’m tired,” He slams his fist against the wall and I flinch.

“I’ve got good news and goddammit you're going to listen,”

I stared him and urged him to go on with whatever he had to say so I could go to bed.

“We no longer have to run. I made things right with prince Oberon I had to give him what I earned from your whoring around but hey it’s all good if we can now live in peace there was just one condition though,”

My mouth was hung open in shock. He talked to the far prince? And he has the nerve to say I’m whoring myself out? What the hell is wrong with this nut job? Wait a minute…..

“A condition? What kind of condition?”

His face lit up. “We have to attend his engagement party and after all the announcements you will be sleeping with him,”

I gaped. Me? Sleeping with the fae prince at his engagement party?

“No I won't do that,” I shook my head. I won't that's wrong on so many levels.

My head swung to the side as a pain shot through my cheek. This is another reason why I don’t fight him anymore. I don't like the bruises he covers my body with.

“If you don’t want more of those I suggest you go upstairs and put the dress the fae prince sent over for you on. We have to be there an hour,”
