FAZER LOGINChapter 4
Five years later…
In Wolfbourne city…
Killian was now an accomplished businessman and the alpha that everyone dreaded at the mention of his name.
Just in a span of five years, he had built an empire that shook the entire business world, and his leadership as the alpha had seen the Silvermoon pack expand its territories beyond the borders.
He was the most feared alpha and the respected CEO of Thorne Empire. He had a beautiful fiancée by his side, but he somehow felt empty.
He felt as if a piece of him was missing, but he could not tell what it was.
“Alpha Killian, your father requests an audience with you.” Beta Andrew said as he bowed respectfully.
“Let him in,” Killian growled in his low voice as he rubbed his tired eyes.
Damien Thorne entered the secret chambers and looked at his son. He shook his head, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
“What is wrong with you, son? How long are you going to lock yourself in here?”
“Dad, what brings you over?”
“The Bluemoon pack elite members will be coming to the full moon ceremony. I don’t know why you haven’t marked Lyra as your mate yet, but I am sure that they will be chasing for an explanation.” Damien said.
Killian looked at his father and spoke his true feelings, “Dad, I want to break off this relationship.”
“What?” Damien was stunned. “Are you out of your mind? Why do you want to break off your relationship with Lyra? I thought that you guys were doing great.”
Killian contemplated before he said, “Dad, I thought so too, but I can’t just find it in me to mark her as my mate. I have tried so many times in the past five years, but something keeps pulling me back, and I don’t know what it is.”
“Son, that could only mean one thing.” Damien looked at his son with a serious expression. He seemed to have understood what his son was going through.
“What is it, Dad? Please make me understand.”
“Your mate bond with your destined mate was not completely broken. You can’t take in another mate unless you have completely severed ties with the mate that the moon goddess had chosen for you.”
“What? How is that even possible? It has been five years already, Dad. And she accepted my rejection, too. In fact, I haven’t sensed her presence in the pack since that night.”
“Son, some things are beyond our control and comprehension. I don’t know why the moon goddess chose her as your destined mate, but maybe you shouldn’t have rejected her.”
“Dad, isn’t it too late to regret now? I don’t even know where she is. Whether she is alive or dead, I have no idea, plus, she was just a worthless omega, what good could she have done to this pack if I had accepted her?”
“I don’t know, son, but calling off your engagement with the Lyra won’t be right either. You are already twenty-eight years old without a mate. People are already whispering.”
“I don’t care about what people say. All I know is that I am not happy with this alliance, and I am tired of dragging my feet. I want to end it as soon as possible.”
“Son, your relationship with Lyra will be very beneficial to our pack. She is of the alpha blood, and once you marry her, your alliance will be formidable.”
Killian shook his head. He seemed to have already made up his mind, “Dad, I have accomplished everything on my own without anyone’s help. I think that I will be fine on my own, with or without a mate.”
Damien looked at his son and shook his head. His son seemed to have inherited his stubbornness, and there was no way he was going to change his mind.
“Son, then don’t do it today, you might invite unnecessary trouble. Wait for the full moon ceremony to end before you end your alliance. You don’t want to make an enemy out of the Bluemoon pack.”
“Okay, Dad.” Killian nodded.
“I will get going. I have a few things to take care of before the ceremony.”
“Okay, Dad.”
Damien almost bumped into Lyra while he was leaving. He looked at her and smiled, “You are here?”
Lyra smiled in return, “Yes, Alpha Damien. I have been trying to reach Killian, but his phone is switched off. I had no choice but to come over.”
“Uhm, he has been quite busy, and you know how he is when he buries himself in work. You can go in and meet him.”
“Thank you, Alpha Damien.”
Lyra was really beautiful. She had long blonde hair that cascaded down to her waist, her face was really beautiful, and with her blue eyes, her beauty was out of this world.
Damien loved her because she was very respectful, and she knew how to maintain relationships.
If his son had marked her as his mate and made her Luna, that would have been great.
Lyra entered Killian’s secret chambers, but she did not see him anywhere.
Lyra frowned. Damien said that Killian was here. Where could he have gone?
Just as she was about to leave, she heard the sound of water running.
Since Killian spent most of his time here, he had a separate bathroom where he usually freshened up.
Lyra walked towards the sound of water as her heart rate increased.
They had been together for close to five years now, but Killian had never touched her. She had tried all sorts of schemes just to get the man to at least even kiss her, but she had never succeeded.
Lyra looked through the glass wall and saw his figure. It was just as she had imagined.
Her face blushed as a thought flashed through her mind. She believed that she was charming enough and no man would be able to resist her, not even Alpha Killian.
Lyra stripped her ball gown and tiptoed towards the bathroom. She did not want to scare Killian, as he might not like it.
Killian had opened the tap, and cold water was running down his body. He was used to taking cold baths whenever he was stressed or when he was unsure of what to do about a situation. Taking cold showers helped him clear his mind.
Lyra went in and hugged Killian from behind. But she never expected that the man was taking a cold shower in such cold weather. The moment the cold water touched her skin, she yelped.
Killian was brought back to his senses from wherever his mind had gone. Feeling the woman’s soft hands on his body, he stiffened.
A distant memory of a woman hugging him flashed through his mind, but before he could get hold of it, it vanished.
Killian turned around and, seeing Lyra’s face, his expression changed. He hurriedly turned off the tap as he asked, “What are you doing here?”
Lyra ignored the discomfort caused by the cold water and pouted her lips, “Babe, you have been ignoring my calls and messages, so I came over to see what has been keeping you busy.”
Lyra looked at Killian and started to draw circles on his chest. She directed his hand, and it grabbed her juicy a$$.
“Today is the full moon ceremony, aren’t you going to make this night special for me?”
Killian looked at her. He wanted to push her away, but something in him seemed to have been broken. A face that he thought he had forgotten about appeared in his head, and before he knew it, he leaned over and started to kiss Lyra.
Lyra smirked in delight when Killian started kissing her. She had not even used her seductive skills, and the man could not wait to devour her.
Lyra returned Killian’s kisses. She directed his hands to touch her wherever she wanted and soon wanton moans came out of the bathroom.
“Ah, babe, I have been waiting for this for a long time,” Lyra said as she twisted her waist. She was already so wet that she could not wait for Killian to enter her.
She moaned as she touched his phallus that could not wait to meet her wet core.
“Baby, what are you waiting for? You can just mark me and make this night even more special to me.”
Killian moaned as he kissed Lyra. His mind was filled with an unfamiliar figure, and he seemed to have shared such a moment with someone, but he could not remember who it had been.
Just as he was about to enter Lyra and make love to her, something inside him snapped, and he returned to his senses.
His eyes cleared, and when he had a clear look at what almost transpired, his heart skipped a beat for some unknown reason.
He hurriedly covered himself with a towel as he looked at Lyra, “What are you doing here? What is the meaning of this?”
Lyra could not believe her ears. She looked at Killian as her chest heaved up and down, “What? What do you mean? And why did you stop?”
“Lyra, what game are you playing?”
“What? Killian, are you okay? You are the one who started kissing me like your life depended on it, and now you are asking me what games I am playing? Have you been toying with me?”
“Who allowed you to come in here? Didn’t you see that I was taking a shower? What do you think you are doing? Aren’t you even ashamed of yourself?”
Lyra was shocked that she could not believe what had just happened. Was Killian out of his mind?
They were engaged, for goodness' sake, so what if they made love?
“Killian, what is wrong with you? I have been waiting for this moment for five years, and you just decided to ruin it?”
“I…”
Chapter 114The twins kicked sharply just before dawn.Selene woke with a gasp, one hand gripping the sheets. Killian was awake instantly, already at her side.“Is it time?” he asked. She breathed through the sensation and shook her head. “Not yet, but soon. They are just being mischievous.”He helped her sit up, his movements careful, like he had practiced it a million times. They had prepared for this moment in every way they could, yet the weight of it still pressed gently against his heart.Later that day, Selene gathered the healers and midwives. There was calm in her voice, but also quiet excitement.“The twins will arrive before the next full moon,” she said. “Everything must be ready.”Word spread quickly, not as gossip, but as joy. Wolves smiled openly. Gifts began appearing outside their door. Small charms, blankets, and carved wooden toys.Elenar stood watching it all, arms crossed. “They already have an entire pack protecting them,” he said.Selene reached for his hand. “A
Chapter 113The peace that settled over the valley did not feel fragile, but Selene knew better than to believe peace meant silence. It meant awareness, and it meant listening closely to small changes before they grew into storms. That morning, she stood at the edge of the eastern woods, her fingers brushing the bark of an old oak tree. The land whispered back to her in familiar ways. The spirits were calm, but there was movement beneath the surface, like water flowing under ice.Killian stood nearby with two guards, giving her space but never leaving her unprotected.“The ground feels restless,” Selene said softly. “Not dangerous, just unsettled.”“From the Ridge packs?” Killian asked.“Partly,” she replied. “But this is older than politics. It is the land adjusting to long peace after long violence.”A faint shimmer moved between the trees. Elenar noticed it too, his hand tightening around the wooden staff he carried.“I see it,” he said. “It looks like a spirit trail.”Selene nodde
Chapter 112The valley was alive with gentle activity. The pack moved with a sense of rhythm, a quiet order that spoke of years of trust and unity.Selene walked among them, feeling the pulse of the community in her veins. Every wolf she passed raised its head, ears flicking toward her, eyes soft with recognition and loyalty. She had not only survived the trials, but she had become the anchor of the pack.Elenar ran up to her, breathless from chasing a young wolf pup. “Mama, watch this!” he shouted, launching into a playful leap over the small rock formations they had designated as practice grounds.Selene laughed, her glowing aura faint in the sunlight as it brushed over him, keeping him safe.Killian appeared behind her, his hand naturally resting on her shoulder. “He is going to grow up fast,” he murmured. “The twins are going to have a big brother already teaching them everything before they’re even born.”Selene smiled, placing a hand over her belly. “And he is learning the right
Chapter 111Five Years LaterThe valley was alive with peace. Wolves roamed freely, children laughed near the river, and the scent of flowers filled the air. The pack had grown stronger, united under Selene’s guidance as Luna and Killian’s steady leadership as Alpha.Selene sat on the porch of their home, her hand resting gently on her rounded belly. There was a new generation of hope, already growing strong inside her. Killian stood behind her, arms wrapped around her waist, his chin resting on her shoulder.“Can you believe it?” he asked softly. “After everything, we made it here.”Selene smiled, leaning into him. “I am still wondering just how lucky we are. But we are only here because we fought together. Through every trial, every danger… it brought us here.”Elenar ran across the yard, laughter filling the air. “Mama! Papa! Look what I caught!” He held up a small, harmless wolf pup, its fur shining silver in the sunlight.Selene laughed, reaching out to him. “That’s wonderful, El
Chapter 110The wind howled over the ridge, carrying the sharp scent of pine, smoke, and old magic. Selene crouched behind a thick tree trunk, her breath slow and controlled as she watched the largest of her mother’s camps spread across the valley below.Torches burned along the perimeter, their flames twisting and snapping in the night air. Rows of tents stood in tight formation, and wolves moved between them with practiced purpose. At a distance, it looked disciplined, organized, and powerful. But Selene saw what others could not.She saw the hesitation in their movements. The way some followers avoided the glowing ritual marks carved into the ground. The way others whispered to each other when they thought no one was listening. Fear held this camp together, not loyalty.Killian knelt beside her, his presence solid and steady. His eyes followed the same patterns she tracked, already reading the terrain like a second skin.“Are you ready for this?” he asked quietly.Selene did not lo
Chapter 109The forest breathed around them as Selene and her team prepared to move. Leaves rustled softly under a rising night wind, and faint traces of lingering magic clung to the air like mist. It was not hostile, but it was watchful, as if the land itself was aware that another turning point was near.Their recent victories had strengthened Selene’s resolve, but they had not made her careless. If anything, they sharpened her awareness. She knew her mother well enough to understand that retreat did not mean defeat. It meant adjustment. It meant planning something darker, faster, and far more dangerous.Every pack that had fallen under her mother’s influence carried fragments of knowledge Selene had yet to uncover. Pieces of ritual lore, fractured loyalties, and half-truths whispered in desperation. Together, they formed a threat that could not be ignored.Selene stood atop a narrow ridge, gazing down into the valley below. The river clans moved freely now, their fear eased for the
