They looked at me intensely as if waiting for my anger to explode or my sadness to well up in my eyes. But that would never happen.

Do they think I'll take offense to these things? They won't.

The painting hinted that my life depended on the Alpha King Triplets, saying that I would be nothing without their help. Or the other two books, one of which told me to obey Marlowe.

Unfortunately, Marlowe wasn't my real mother and wasn't someone who took care of me lovingly, so why would I do that?

It's true that if it wasn't for the Alpha King Triplets I would still be the Ruby I used to be, but I don't let that be my flaw or my weakness. I am grateful to have them, and I will slowly stand on my feet, not behind them but by their side.

I only have one purpose for meeting them. That is about Auntie. I had faced a dead end, I had to search for her whereabouts at all costs.

"Tell me, Mrs. Marlowe O'Malley. Are you involved in what happened to my aunt this time?"
