Chapter 136: Negotiations

Amarantha's POV

"We have to hurry!" Shintara shouted at me.

I was having second thoughts about leaving Iram behind. I didn't feel cool with this. Something is bothering me.

"What are you taking so long?" she asked, irritated. "We're almost there, Luna!"

"I can't just do this. Something is not right, Shintara. What if something happened to them?"

"Quit overthinking and let's focus on this task. Do you not want this for your people?"

She's right. I was too busy worrying about Iram. He can handle himself. He is very strong unlike me who is just a mere human who can only heal him if he needs me.

After that thought, I decided to follow Shintara's tracks. Shintara shifted into her large white wolf form. She let me ride behind her as she swiftly glided through the forest.

We reached the Ouse River in front of the Rogue Alpha's tavern.

They displayed hostility but when they saw Shintara's wolf, they all scowled away in fear and backed down.
