“Why would they invite us?” I asked, raising my brows.

Something wasn’t sitting right in my stomach.

“Are you going to refuse the invitation?” Raya asked, looking between us.

“We could,” Sebastian says, staring at the invitation. But something inside of me was telling me that he didn’t want to refuse the invitation. He wanted to go to this ball. “Or we can go and find out what the hell they want.”

“We already know what they want. They want to take over the entire kingdom. While they have the ball we could always go to the underworld and put an end to Xander once and for all,” I suggested.

“We can’t go to the underworld blind. We need to figure out where the heart is located before, we even think about putting ourselves in danger,” Sebastian told me. “Let’s just think about attending the ball. We don’t need to decide this second.”
