AMY'S POV
I woke up in bits. The first stage was when I realized that I was in an unfamiliar place in a strange bed. I didn't own a bed as soft as this, and I certainly don't own a blanket that was this heavy and comfortable. The second thing that tipped me off was my body. It ached in the most delicious way, like I had been squeezed and stretched and wrung out in the most pleasant way. It was a good feeling. My lips tingled, and my back was all straightened out. Like I had paid a chiropractor a good amount of money. While I smiled and stretched, reality quickly set in. Was I in a dream? I pinched myself, and it hurt. It was the hurt that made my body jerk awake fully. Where the fuck was I? My eyes took in the obviously very expensive hotel that I was in. What the hell? How did I get here? I looked under the blanket and screamed at the amount of bites on my body. My pale skin made the love bites stand out. It was particularly obvious in my inner thigh. "What did you do, Amy?" I whispered to myself as I scrambled to stand up from the bed. I fell back on the bed twice when my legs caught the sheets. It was humiliating. This was the second time I would be waking up in an expensive place that I would have never gone to myself. The man that I let take me to bed was the last detail that came to me. He was familiar, but I know I would remember his face if I had seen him before. One thing I was certain of was that he was a wolf. It was not uncommon to encounter wolves. The only thing I could hope was that I hadn't slept with another wolf's chosen mate. "But," I stopped and looked around the room. Except for my clothes that were strewn about on the plush rug, there was nothing else out of place. He hadn't even bothered to leave me a note. Was I that cheap to him? I mean, I had given myself to him pretty easily. I don't even know his name, for goodness' sake, and I had let him do what he wanted. He didn't even ask for my name. He had called me a good girl, and I remember liking it so much. I was such an idiot. "You're going to come for me, aren't you?" He had growled in my ear when I was on the edge of my first orgasm. He must be used to women falling at his feet. He didn't even have to use any lines on me, not that he needed it with that gorgeous face of his. He had simply called me beautiful, and I was putty in his arms. I used the spacious bathroom quickly, not daring to look at myself in the mirror. I washed my face to rid it of the makeup and wiped it clean. I wriggled back into my black dress, but I knew there was no way I was getting back on those death traps. Maddy made wear to the club. Instead, I walked out of the hotel room barefoot. Fortunately, there was no one in the elevator, and I tried to hide my face behind my tangled hair. On reaching the lobby, it looked like everyone was looking at me and that they knew what I had been up to. It was pretty hard not to feel judged. I was in a tiny dress with my heels in hand. I should have a sign that said sl*t on my back. As if I wasn't ashamed enough, I had to beg a doorman to spare me fifty dollars to cover my ride home. On the cab ride home, I remembered that I had abandoned Maddy and gone off with Mr. Tall and Handsome. Goddess, I must have really worried her going off like that. I could borrow someone's phone to call her, but I couldn't for the life of me remember her contact. Of all the bad luck I had yesterday, I had been stupid enough to add one more to it. I felt used, and I know it was stupid because I had enjoyed every minute of last night. "Ma'am? We're here." I felt a sense of déjà vu because yesterday, a cab driver had said the same thing to me, but it was when I was about to find out that my boyfriend was f*cking another woman on the side. "Thank you." I paid and walked the rest of the way. I hoped my mother was sleeping because she was the last person I wanted to deal with right now. After everything she pulled last night... Unfortunately for me, she was in the living room again and she stood up when I pushed the door open. "Welcome." She said with a smile, but I wasn't deceived. I didn't respond, and I made to move past her to my bedroom when she hauled me back by my hair. "Where do you think you're going?" She snarled, all traces of her false smile melted off as she tugged on my hair. "Mom, what are you doing?" I cried. "Where's the money?' "What money?" I said angrily and finally managed to free myself from her grasp. "You were out all night whoring your body away, and you don't think I deserve a cut?" Sometimes, I wondered what my mother was smoking because there was obviously no purse on me. "That's all you can say to your daughter that didn't sleep at home." "You're such..." "You've run out of money, right?" It pained me to realize that she had blown all my hard-earned money in one night. "You dare to take that tone with me? You better get me my money or you'll be out on the street." She threatened and walk away. Realizing that I might never make anything of my life, I slid down the wall of my room and cried myself to sleep.AMY'S POV Once, when I was waiting tables at a pop-up store as a way to pick up some extra cash, I met an aspiring Broadway actor. His name was Nate, and he insisted we come see a show he was starring in. All the other waitresses declined to go watch a new movie at the cinema. I couldn't afford to go with them, I was bored, plus I wasn't in such a hurry to go back home, so I went to the musty old building that he said it was taking place in. The acting was surprisingly not bad, and the plot was spot on. I could relate to the main actress' struggles. It was the only thing that made me stay till the end. After everything she went through, a rich prince came and swept her away from everything. That night, I went home with my heart full, and hope bloomed in my chest. Except, I wasn't looking for a man to save me. I was waiting for my admission letter from medical school to save me. That was only nine months ago, and my situation hadn't improved much. "What are we going to do?" Mad
AMY'S POV Everyone always said that it got better in the morning, but that saying had never applied to me so far. In fact, things seemed to worsen for me in the day.I jerked up from my crying-induced sleep sometime around 4 a.m. with a massive headache and a cranky neck. The very next morning, I had an early morning shift. If there was one thing I was grateful for, it was that I hadn't handed in my resignation letters to my workplaces, or I'd be in trouble right now.My mother didn't come out of her room till I got out of the house. There was nothing else she could hurt me with at the moment. I held back a sob when I remembered my lost money and my admission letter. If there was anything I could do to salvage my admission, I would, except there was no money to pay for anything. Not if they gave me a million extensions. It was the sound of a car horn that jolted me back into reality, alerting me that I had reached my destination. The restaurant was just two blocks down. "What the h

LIAM POV Today should be a good day. I was finally going to close a deal that I had been chasing for a long time. I mean, I was Liam Arlington, the wealthiest and most influential in the state. I never chased anything. Everything I wanted was offered to me. Except for the Charente Group of Companies. In the last year, their marketing department made more money than mine. That couldn't happen so I was determined to merge it to my empire. Of course, the owner and board of directors resisted because of how much profit they were making but I couldn't care less about what they wanted. Eventually, I wore them down with a two-billion-dollar sum. The largest anyone had ever spent on an acquisition. I have every intention of making twice as much profit."Boss, they are on their way here." My assistant reported, and I smiled broadly at her."You're going to get a nice bonus when this is all over." I told her and her smile matched mine."Thank you, Boss.""That's alright. Page Reid for me. Te
AMY'S POVHow wrong I was to think that my longtime boyfriend, Neil, would know what to do.With the small amount of cash left with me, I took a taxi and gave the address to Neil's house. My tears blinded me all the way there, that I wouldn't have known if I was being kidnapped. My life had been so unfair up until this day, and when I finally thought it was time for me to have a good thing that was all mine, I was this close to getting into medical school that I could taste it. I would have left this miserable omega life of mine behind. And my mother had swept it all away in one clean swoop. "Ma'am? We're here." I cleaned my tears long enough for me to pay my fares and stumble onto the sidewalk. The short walk to his apartment building didn't stop the stream of tears down my face, nor did the elevator ride up. The first thing that should have warned me was his door was left slightly ajar. Neil never left his door open. "You never know what could slip in through the crack, baby." He
AMY'S POV I ran as my feet would carry me, which, embarrassingly enough, was a short distance before one of them caught me.He gave me a slap that made stars appear before blowing his bad breath directly in my face. "Now you're going to regret doing that, b*tch.""Please, I don't know what you're talking about. Just let me go." I whimpered, knowing there was nothing else that would save me at this moment. If anyone passed at this time, they were most likely to run the other way than get involved. I know I would run."Why did you run if you have done nothing wrong?" I wanted to argue that I hadn't done anything except exist. Technically, it was my mother they had a problem with, but I was sure they were not going to listen to technicalities in the moment."Please, let me go. I think...""Well, you won't need to think anymore, doll. We're going to do them all for you."He hit me again, and he used his strength to keep me up while he delivered blows to my face. I cried and pleaded, but
