Iliana’s POV:

With a book on my lap and a steaming cup of coffee on the table beside me, I was cooped up on the couch, desperately trying to escape the nightmare my reality had become lately.

I had lost count of the number of times I had read the same paragraph again and again. Even though my eyes were skimming the page, and my lips mouthed the words, none of them registered in my mind.

Since yesterday, his confession had been reeling in my mind like a broken record.

‘Are you a human?’

‘No.’

After he vanished, I clutched my bag and sprinted out of the library. Outside, I heaved huge breaths and let the cool breeze hit my face. But nothing seemed to calm the storm stirring inside me.

Hurrying back to my apartment, I closed the door behind me.

But…for the first time in months, I didn’t rush around the apartment maniacally, double-checking every lock like my life depended on it.

Because I knew. There was no point. No lock or precaution had ever stopped him from reaching me whenev

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 43

Iliana’s POV: It was 3 am. He didn’t come tonight, and I kept tossing and turning on the bed, wondering why it bothered me so much. It felt like my soul was pacing restlessly in an endless void. My skin itched, desperate to feel his warmth. I was at my home and yet it didn’t feel like one. We were neither officially together nor were we actually dating…and yet having him by my side every night had become more like a routine...a ritual. Turning over, I faced the window beside my bed and wondered why I craved him like that. I missed the way his scalding breath made my skin shudder or the way his touch made me feel things I never knew were even possible. I hated it. I hated how incomplete I felt without him. I shouldn’t have let him get closer to me and yet I allowed him to consume me whole. I always knew it would happen and yet didn’t have it in me to push him away. And now… Suddenly, my mind went blank as my eyes caught a moving shadow in the window. My breathing hitched as a dar

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 42

Maddox’s POV:We all left the pack house at different times of the night and even took different paths to reach our destination.By the time I reached the cottage, Eldric was already there. Guards stationed outside the cottage for the witch’s protection bowed at my appearance, “Alpha,” they all said in unison.I nodded in acknowledgement before inquiring, “Anything I need to know about the witch?”One of them stepped forward to answer, “Nothing particular, Alpha. She had been cooped up inside the cottage for the last two days. This morning, she gave us a list and asked us to bring her some essentials from the market. We did that, after Eldric’s approval.”After another nod, I flung the door open and sauntered inside. Eldric, who had been pacing the floor restlessly, came to a sudden halt, “What took you so long?”“The fact that I had to make sure that no one was following me,” I shot back nonchalantly.Breezing past him, I walked deeper into the cottage, only to find Menerva lounging

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 41

Maddox’s POV: Ever since Derek Lysarian’s blade spilled my father’s blood and chains of paralysis bound my mother to a state of silence and stillness, I’d neither called nor ever considered the pack house a HOME. No, it never felt like one. It was a cage with no sense of belonging. A labyrinth brimming with spies and shadows, where every corner whispered with Darla’s eyes and ears. I bet she must have felt the same because…I wasn’t any less. We were two enemies, sharing a common space, keeping an eye on each other, planning our next strategies while trying to find out what must be going on in the other’s mind. Most werewolves believe that having a mate is the best blessing the Moon Goddess has bestowed on our kind. But I never agreed to that. The most powerful blessing was the ability to mindlink, a true weapon and the perfect camouflage. Just like now, when I was seated in the dining, eyes on the plate in front of me, ears on Darla’s nonsensical chattering, but mind…? Mind connec

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 40

Iliana’s POV:When I reached my apartment, Thea was already sprawled over the couch with her feet crossed on the coffee table in front. As soon as I entered, she whipped her head toward me, “You’re back. Finally.”My eyes drifted from the tub of ice cream clutched between her hands to the sitcom playing over the TV. And that was enough for me to know that whatever clash she had with her mother was over something childish because if it had been serious, I’d have come home to find another version of Thea, the one pacing the floor with fumes oozing out of her ears.Kicking off the shoes by the door, I padded into the living room, “What happened now?”She let out a dramatic sigh before rolling her eyes, “As usual, mother happened.”I chuckled softly while tossing my bag onto the armchair, “May I ask how come she ‘offended’ Your Highness this time?”Thea straightened up and narrowed her eyes into thin slits, “She scolded me over dinner just because I didn’t finish my salad.”I blinked, “Wa

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 39

Maddox’s POV:With a heavy silence lingering between us, we made our way out of the university. Iliana was walking ahead of me.Lights around the campus were off now except for little bulbs here and there but it was enough for her to look at my face if she were to turn around. But she didn’t. Not even once. And I hated that.I had just fucked her raw against the shelf housing the ancient knowledge. I was literally inside her minutes ago, her every moan was for me, she cummed on my cock before I filled her pussy with mine…but still…it wasn’t enough.I wasn’t satisfied with just having her body. I needed her gaze too. I wanted her to look into my eyes while she came apart. I wanted her to scream my name while she chased her orgasm. Now, I didn’t only want control, I wanted recognition. I wanted her to acknowledge me…to fucking own me.Frustration swelled inside me but I tried my best to remain calm and bite my tongue…until I couldn’t.My footsteps halted and I breathed in through my nos

  • Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker   Chapter 38

Iliana's POV:Intertwining my fingers through his, I tightened my grip on his hand and tiptoed deeper into the shadows. For once, I was leading and he was obeying...and something about that made me feel overwhelmingly powerful. At the end of the hallway, hidden behind the rows of shelves, was a lone door. Ancient and forgotten.During the earlier days, when I was still exploring the campus, I'd discovered the place beyond the locked door.Old Archives...as students liked to call it. It was an extension of the main library but was opened only once in a few months for cleaning purposes.Stopping before the door, I commanded him, "Open it."I didn't need to ask whether he could open the lock or not. By now, I just knew that he could. He leaned closer and a cold shiver ran down my spine as his breath hit my bare neck, "Just to let you know, no one has ever dared to order me around, Little Muse."The amusement in his voice felt nowhere like a warning. If anything, it felt thrilling. The co
