KAEL’S POV

My phone vibrated just as I was fastening my jacket.

I took out my phone from my pocket and saw it was a text from Lyra.

Without hesitating I opened the message and read it.

“Meet me at the game room, we need to talk”

Something stirred in me seeing this message.

She has been angry with me after finding out about the bet and the message felt like a salvation.

Without wasting any more time, I fastened my jacket as I left my room heading straight to the game room where she had instructed me to meet her.

As I headed down the hall, my steps were quick and restless, I hoped she was finally going to hear me out.

Just when I pushed the door, I immediately saw him, and anger coursed through me, I did not want to see him, especially not now.

It was Zurien, he was standing near the pool table, his arms were crossed and he had an unreadable look on his face.

I looked around.

“Where is she” I asked knowing he knew who I was referring to.
