CHAPTER 50 | The Unexpected Betrayal...
Charlotte has been eagerly waiting for Azraiel. She desperately wanted to know what happened with the Grishams.

Meanwhile, she has changed her clothes, wrote everything that has happened in her journal, and was now pacing in the small drawing-room of her cottage. Azraiel should be here in 10 minutes or so.
She wondered what has happened to put Azraiel in a foul mood. Sure, he didn’t look at her with anger, but she’d have to be blind to not see the anger in his eyes. She just hopes that Azraiel didn’t misunderstand her hug with Theo.
After drinking a glass of water to calm her nerves, she moves out and sits on the steps of the cottage. The sky was clear and the sun was blazing heat.
She mindlessly studied the trees, sky, and the window of Azraiel’s room in anticipation.
