Matthew's POV

I feel the anticipation building in me the closer I get to Alpha Reid's... The closer I get to her. 

I never even caught her name. I think she said it but I was too out of it to hear her.

25 years.... 25 years since I turned 18. 25 years without a mate.

It's almost unheard of to go that long without finding your mate.

I have lived a lonely life since I gave up looking for my mate. I really thought because of the evil that my father and brother did. I was somehow cursed and forced to suffer because of them. I thought I was not given a mate. That she somehow was punishing me for their wrongdoings.
