/-RYU-/

The forest areas were deserted, not even a moving creature in sight. The singing birds had all chirped away; someone had been here, the scent exhilarating.

I felt tense as I followed the scent, leading the warriors behind me. The enemy was good at covering up their tracks, but they had quite a scent, which I couldn’t lose.

“Stop!”

They halted by my order. I could hear their murmurs, doubting why they had stopped in such a deserted space. They saw no traps and felt that the enemy would be cowards to put up a trap for them.

They had quite a lot to learn about the battlefield.

With a smile, I uncased my sword, taking my stance in such a way that the sunlight could be reflected from the luster. I growled as my hands began to take in the heat, my body trying to cool off my system as I flowed with the intensity of the surroundings.

“There.” I had moved diagonally, swinging the sword with force in the air.

‘Is that it?” One of the soldiers spoke behind me. I could tell he was a

  • Alpha Ryu    Chapter 35

I held my breath as we reached the edge of the Blood Arena, it was suffocating but I had to withhold my breath not knowing what the outcome may be.The air was thick with tension, and the sky above us looked like it might break into a storm. The stone walls were high, stained with battles long past. I could hear the low murmurs of the crowd that had gathered. Every important Alpha, emissary, and warrior from nearby packs were here. Watching. Judging.Beside me, Ryu stood tall, his expression was unreadable. His jaw was clenched tightly, but his eyes—those fierce, stormy eyes—held something I couldn’t name. Was it fear? Determination? Or was it for me? Whatever it was I couldn't tell. The Ironclaw Pack stood across the arena, opposite us. They looked like they were carved from the mountains—which was huge, muscular, and ready to tear through anyone who stood in their path. At the front of them stood Alpha Theron. He was taller than Ryu, his body covered in battle scars, one running acr

  • Alpha Ryu    Chapter 34

I stood at the entrance to the royal chambers, my fingers clenched around the cold stone wall. My heart hammered in my chest, my mind racing with thoughts too fast to catch. A choice was in my hands, one that would change everything. The silence around me was suffocating.“Samantha?”The sound of his voice broke through my thoughts like a razor-sharp blade. I turned, and there he stood—Ryu. He was every inch the Alpha—strong, unyielding, a man who never bowed to anyone. Yet, beneath the surface, I could see something more, a darkness creeping behind those cold eyes, something I wasn’t ready to confront. His gaze locked onto mine, and for a moment, it was as if the air between us thickened. He didn’t speak, but his silence was just as commanding as any words he could have said. I took a step forward, needing to bridge the gap that seemed to grow with every second. Before I could find the words to speak, the door to the chambers swung open without warning. I froze, every muscle in my bo

The air between Ryu and me grew heavier with every passing moment. I stood there, my heart torn in two, pulled in one direction by my loyalty to my father, Alpha Harry, and in another by the undeniable pull I felt for Ryu. If I didn’t act soon, my father's demand to take Ryu's head would cost me everything. I needed to make a choice. The weight of the decision pressed down on me. To betray Ryu, or secure my position as Alpha of my pack, taking it over from my step brother . It seemed so simple, but it wasn’t. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was falling for someone I shouldn't even be near. The man who stood before me was ruthless, cold, and completely out of reach.Yet here I was, drawn to him, unable to deny the chemistry that crackled between us. It wasn’t just power anymore. I didn’t even know if it was only about the position. It was about something deeper—something I couldn’t quite name. But I couldn’t afford to give in to that.Suddenly, a sharp laugh broke through the silen

Lady X kept her head up; her hands swung in the air several inches away from me. I wanted to run, leave the space, but it was already late, my heart pounding to the fright that gripped my bones. “Samantha!”I stumbled, my hands to the back, my body concurring to its movement. Her hand came, and I dodged it. My back arched as I hit the ground, rolling almost immediately when her leg came forth, ready to stomp me till I couldn’t breathe anymore.“Do you know who I am?” She growled. “I am the only Lady Executioner, the talented and the only one worthy of having Alpha Ryu by my side. You’re not allowed. Keep your hands off of him or face my wrath!” I stood looking at her rapid breathing. She was so powerful her heart couldn’t contain the flow of blood pumping. She had to move with a special material that kept her heart stable, for she would also be a weak Omega if not for her wolf, Bambi the executioner. I stood my ground, staring at her hair as it fell right down. There was nothing I

The maids exchanged glances between themselves, hooking up on who and what to deduce with each passing second. I could smell the lingering danger signs, my head revolting as auras began to clash, sinister inductions filling the atmosphere. My heart raced as Lady X began to fume, her nose releasing fumes as she began to breathe out. She was toxic, far more toxic than I’d expected her to be. She swung her hand away from Ryu, hitting me with death glares. If looks were cuts, my whole body would be minced. “Alpha Ryu.” She grabbed her living gown, raising it up to give a bow. I appreciated how I had gotten out of the situation and also began to feel like a queen knowing the devil I yearned to kill was now the angel protecting me. “Lady X. I heard you were back from your last mission, and you have decided to come visit me in my chambers. Since your father had called for you to get home quite early, I thought maybe I could walk up and save you the stress”. Ryu checked his hand back. S

  • Alpha Ryu    Chapter 30

Hearing Father had intentions to kill Mabel made me sad. I had only spoken to Mabel for three days, but it felt like I had known her my whole life. If Ryu knew Father had Mabel, he’d attack the pack, and the casualties would be too much to bear. I might not be able to finish my mission, but I might as well save the Pack from extinction. Father always found a way to survive at the expense of others, so it was only necessary that I save the others from getting trampled upon. “Good morning, Alpha Ryu.” I greeted him as I walked into his chamber. “What do you have for me today?” He rocked himself back, staring at the stack of papers in my hands. I flashed him a smile before placing the stack of papers onto his desk. I felt relieved knowing I had disposed of the extra waste.“The council of Elders has questions for you about the summer. They believe the heat might be quite intense and it would be quite indispensable and would have a toll on the pack.” I reported. “You know I can alwa
