Savage,

It happened suddenly. One minute I was taking a run around my territory and the second I smelled them.

I was trying to clear up my mind from the last events that happened and from all my wolf’s pestering.

He was angry at me for hurting our mate; he was angry because I didn’t stay to tend to her wounds and comfort her.

He still doesn’t understand that she isn’t that important to us, but the stupid fucker just wanted to forget.

He wanted to forget the past, the pain, and the loss and start a new life with our mate.

And then I heard the screams and howls and the smell of smoke and blood reached me as I drew nearer. And I froze in my place.

The scene felt so eerily similar to what had happened before. The only difference was, there was no mate and no pup dead in front of me.
