Where the heck did those witches disappear to, anyway? They usually stay in the woodland. The town looked deserted. I sniffed the air around me and caught the scent of a single witch. Following the trail, I arrived at an old, craggy cottage.

With caution, I partially opened the door and entered the room. "Who are you?" an elderly witch inquired.

"I'm from Silver Canine's pack. My Alpha needs help," I stated, observing the frail-looking woman and doubting her ability to assist. "By the way, where have all the witches gone?"

"The Dark Angels' warning frightened everyone," she whispered.

"I'm sorry, who are they? I've never heard of them," I admitted.

"Please take a seat," she instructed, and I complied.

"If all the other witches left town, why didn't you?" I asked. She smiled at my curiosity.

"The Dark Angels don't scare me," the elderly witch said as she poured me a cup of tea. "How should I address you?"
