Liora’s POV

Sunlight spilled across the room in soft golden streaks when I slowly opened my eyes.

For a moment, I simply lay there beneath the blankets, staring up at the ceiling while the events of last night replayed in my mind one by one then a smile spread slowly across my lips.

I had done it.

I had actually done it.

The memory of Alpha Kael standing there breathless and furious while trying, and failing, to hide how shaken he was filled me with an almost dangerous satisfaction.

I rolled o

Daniel’s POV I was almost ready for the challenge when Rio decided to pay me an unexpected visit.I had just finished adjusting the straps around my wrists when the door opened without warning. I turned, expecting one of the servants, but my expression immediately changed when I saw who had walked in.Rio entered with the confidence of a man who believed he owned the entire estate. There was an irritating smugness on his face, and I could already tell that whatever he had come to say wasn't going to be pleasant."Daniel," he greeted.I returned my attention to the mirror."Unless you've come to wish me luck, I suggest you leave” I said.He laughed."Still as arrogant as ever.""And you're still as annoying as ever. What do you want?" I asked.Rio walked farther into the room, glancing at the weapons arranged on the table."I came to talk about your little arrangement with Amarok” he said.My hands stopped moving then I slowly turned toward him."What arrangement?" I asked. He smiled.

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Choose One

Liora’s POVI could barely keep my eyes open, let alone stand on my own two feet, but I refused to return to the doctor's chambers without speaking to Alpha Kael first. My legs felt like they could give out at any moment, and every few steps sent a wave of exhaustion through my body. But I had managed to make it here, and now I was standing in front of the man I needed to speak with.Alpha Kael looked completely stunned. His eyes moved over my face, then down to the way Tristan was supporting me. He seemed unable to decide whether to be angry or relieved."Liora, what are you doing here?" He asked.I tried to straighten my back."I need to talk to you” I said."You're supposed to be in bed” he replied."I know.""Then why the hell are you standing here?"I swallowed."Because I heard about the challenge” I answered. His expression immediately hardened and I continued."Alpha Kael, I don't want you fighting Daniel tonight” I said.He stared at me silently then he glanced at Fay, who st

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Seeing Her Awaken

Alpha Kael’s POVI stared at my reflection in the mirror as the servant tightened the straps of my armor.Tonight was supposed to settle something that had been bothering me for far too long.Daniel had challenged my authority, questioned my right to keep Liora by my side, and made it clear that he intended to take her from me. I had tolerated his arrogance for longer than I should have, but I was done allowing him to believe he could threaten me without consequences.Tonight, I would remind him exactly who he was dealing with."Is it too tight, Alpha Kael?" the servant asked nervously.I glanced down at the leather strap crossing my chest."No. Keep going."He immediately returned to his task, carefully securing the remaining pieces of my armor. The dark material fitted closely around my torso, protecting my most vulnerable areas without restricting my movements. My weapons had already been prepared, and my boots were polished and waiting beside the bed.Everything was being arrang

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Exchange A Secret for Freedom

Vesha’s POVSitting alone in the cold dungeon, with my back against the damp stone wall, I couldn't stop thinking about Elena and Ruby. Every time I closed my eyes, I remembered their lies when Alpha Kael had accused me of poisoning Liora.I clenched my fists, fighting the anger building inside me.How could they do this to me?I pressed my hands against my eyes.Perhaps I had been foolish. I had thought we understood each other, now, I wasn't so sure.I swallowed hard.Could Elena have done this to me? Had Ruby helped her?The more I considered it, the more the pieces seemed to fit together. I remembered the way Elena had looked at me when the guards approached. There had been surprise in her eyes, but beneath it, I thought I had seen something else, like relief. If Elena and Ruby had orchestrated the poisoning, why had they chosen me as their scapegoat? Had they always intended to sacrifice me if their plan went wrong? Or had something happened that forced them to act quickly?I w

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Twitching Eyes

Fay’s POV I had never hated the sound of silence as much as I did that evening. The doctor’s chambers were unusually quiet, save for the occasional rustle of medical supplies and the steady beeping of the machine beside Liora’s bed. I sat in a chair near her, watching her chest rise and fall as she breathed. She was alive. That was the only thing I could hold on to. After hours of uncertainty, the doctor had finally confirmed that Liora’s condition was stabilizing. The poison had done considerable damage, but the treatment was working, and her body was responding better than before. It should have been enough to ease my worries but It wasn't. Liora was still unconscious, her face pale against the white pillow, and I couldn't stop thinking about how easily we might have lost her. I couldn't prove it yet, but I was almost certain Elena had something to do with what happened. The way she had behaved after Liora collapsed had been suspicious. She had seemed more concern

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Nothing Left To Do

Rio’s POV The first man charged at me with a roar, throwing a punch aimed at my jaw. I ducked beneath his arm and drove my fist into his stomach, forcing the air from his lungs. Before he could recover, I grabbed the back of his neck and slammed him against the side of a parked vehicle. He collapsed to the ground then another man came at me from the left. I turned just in time to block his punch, then struck him across the face with my elbow. He staggered backward, but I didn't give him the chance to regain his balance. I swept his legs from beneath him and sent him crashing onto the pavement. I barely had time to catch my breath before the others surrounded me. One of them lunged for my waist, hoping to tackle me to the ground. I shifted my weight, caught his arm, and used his momentum to throw him over my shoulder. He landed heavily, groaning as he rolled onto his back. I had spent years learning how to fight. Being a Beta to powerful Alpha had taught me that strength

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   The Alpha’s Hunger

Alpha Kael's POVThe fire’s warmth did nothing to chase the chill that had settled into my chest. She knelt there, slick with oil, the faint scent of jasmine clinging to her skin. The linen she wore was thin, clinging to her body, leaving nothing to the imagination. Every curve, every swell, ever

Liora's POVMy skin tingled as the maids’ hands glided over me, spreading oil down my shoulders, across the slope of my collarbone, over the curve of my breasts, down my ribs and over my waist. Their touch was careful, almost timid, as if I were a fragile artifact rather than a living woman. The s
