10. Garret' s Secret

Amelia’s POV

I stood there motionless as Garret turned around and looked at me. I was scared shitless by the look in his eyes, he wasn’t human for sure; but what is he? He looks like a bloody creature with his mouth covered in the blood of my co-worker. She lays motionless on the cold floor and I wondered what she did, to deserve a death like this?

“Oh my god!” I whispered in a shaky breath as my body collided with a table behind me, I didn’t even realize I moved from my spot. My heart was beating wildly in my chest as I could barely register anything going around me.

“Ah… the inquisitive Amelia. You truly have the worst timing ever,” he growled in his thunderous voice, and I saw his bloody teeth peeking out slightly.

Is he a vampire? Or is he something else?

“I wasn’t trying to pry on you, I was just here for my shift, but I promise I wouldn’t tell anyone about this,” I gasped out trying to make my breath even so that I don’t die due to poor ventilation.
