27. He Is A Heartbreak Waiting To Happen.

Amelia’s POV

After a long one hour drive, which was filled with peaceful silence and cold breeze, we finally reached near my pack house. Zane stopped the cab a few meters away from the gate of my house and I stayed seated. I couldn’t move from my spot even if I wanted to. I just couldn’t end feeling this way yet.

The want, the need and the feelings we have for each other feels completely otherworldly.

“I don’t want you to go inside,” he said in a low voice, almost as if he thought that out loud, and didn’t actually mean to say it.

I placed my palm over his hand softly as I replied, “But I have to.”

Our voices were hushed as if we were scared that if we talked too loud the spell would be broken.

After a brief pause, Zane gulped down as he asked me, “Will you meet me at the cafeteria tomorrow for coffee?”

I was surprised by his sudden request. I looked at him, my lips parted with surprise and fascination.

How does he manage to make me so calm yet anxious at the same time?
