CHAPTER 6: Not So Innocent Perhaps

ZEUS-

“Catch her” I spoke and all the hungry werewolves ran in her direction howling loudly. They could kill her not knowing the meaning behind my ‘catch her’ and I yelled again.

“I want her alive.” I spoke as killing her anytime soon wasn’t in my plan. She was the biggest victory I've ever accomplished and can’t wait to see my father’s proud face once he gets to know that I've captured the heart and soul of Jade Ogre.

An unusual smile was stuck on my face as the thought of victory hindered my mind, the known villain Jade Ogre would be in my fist once his daughter is locked up in one of my cells.

It’s such a pity for the girl though, the world she never discovered would bring her enormous pain and she would never know the reason behind it, children do pay for their parent’s sins sometimes.

I sent Arthur and he never disappointed me so, I had put all my faith in him as he would never fail to capture a girl, my uncurious eyes kept on looking around to see something or someone approaching but it didn’t happen for a long.

I grew impatient and wanted to go see for myself, the moment I wore my coat and grabbed my car keys, I sniffed scents of my clan approaching making me smile as the most awaited moment has arrived.

I removed my coat and placed it on the chair beside me trying to see as far as my eyes can. Although, I never wanted to let her know that I was waiting for her or else she’d think of herself as an important being.

I quickly strolled inside and sat on the chair placed inside the living room, my legs started shaking in excitement and I recalled I forgot something. I stood up abruptly rushing outside and grabbed my coat lying outside like a dead body from the chair.

“Mr. Zeus… she’s here… but, I'm afr---” he spoke and I kept on looking at the car they got down from. I didn’t even let him finish his sentence as strolled towards the car in order to get the filthy bastard’s daughter.

“W--what h--happened?” I spoke as my eyes went wide looking at the awful picture in front of me. I couldn’t move as all I could see was blood and the wounded body.

I, somehow wanted to destroy everything around as I saw the amber eyes that were once full of light are now shut down. Here I was celebrating my victory as I had the enemy wrapped around my fingers but looking at her shrouded in blood broke everything inside of me.

“Is she? Is she d--dead?” I asked looking at him and pointed my fingers towards the beautiful soul who laid quietly on the seat. I couldn’t describe the pain I felt after seeing the dreadful sight as hours ago she was completely fine and I never imagined her death out of the blue.

“No… she isn’t, Mr. Zeus, she just fell from a tree and has gone oblivious.” He spoke which eventually brought my pacing heartbeat back to normal. I picked her up in my arms gently and strolled inside while Arthur followed me.

“Don’t fuck with me right now, call someone for aid.” I spoke as he opened his mouth to say something. I had no mood for listening to his reasons right now but would surely question him once I'm done with everything.

I wanted to make father proud when Jade would’ve begged in front of my dad for his daughter’s life, but what if she died? I would’ve lost before even starting it. I should’ve gone by myself.

“She’s a werewolf by nature… she has the tendency of healing faster than humans. Treat her with whatever you have” I spoke in a rumbling voice and gave the doctor a strong look knowing she can perhaps heal a little faster.

I looked at the face of the girl lying unconscious while her head was bleeding pathetically despite of the bandages around her head. I gritted my teeth in anger and stared at her for a long-time building rage inside my veins.

I felt my temperature rising and sweaty as if I was standing near fire, I wanted to punch or even kill someone just the ease the rush of emotions inside my body. I gulped hard and walked outside the room in a hurry.

“Why did I even send you there?” I spoke to Arthur in a low voice filled with anger and clenched my fists in order to sustain everything inside of me that could burn this place down.

“She climbed a tree and fell from that… no one even touched her” he spoke trying to resonate and I looked away from his eyes as I got disgusted.

“She? A girl like her climbed a tree? And fell from that? Causing this much damage?... for fuck’s sake talk sense, Arthur” I spoke not having any ounce of confidence in his words.

“Isn’t it strange? Even a werewolf would’ve died from that height. But she… survived” he spoke getting lost in his own words while it grabbed my attention. There is no reason for him to lie and not to mention it’s Arthur… he would never lie, at least to me.

“So? What are you trying to say? Is she a goddess?” I spoke assuming if what he’s saying is true then obviously, she isn’t human at all. “I would like the see the height she fell from”

“The tree you bumped into, when you first turned” he spoke and my mouth went wide remembering the tree I bumped into when I woke up in the woods. That was huge and in no world, I could forget that.

“Are you making that up?” I spoke with a confused face as it’s impossible to climb the tree in the first place. How can she even climb it when she’s this weak? “Don’t expect me to believe that too.”

I spoke and looked at his face which depicted no expressions and I squinted my eyes sitting down on the floor, I grabbed my head in confusion as this isn’t possible.

“Still she’s bleeding severely” he spoke as if it was a good thing and I stood up fixing my tie. Of course, she would bleed like hell but she isn’t normal.

“She is not just a mere werewolf…” I spoke looking at him with whatever theories my brain could make in order to justify the incident. I sighed loudly and he kept on thinking also trying to resonate.

“A hybrid perhaps?” he spoke and I got disappointed in him even more.

“She’s not a hybrid, she hasn’t even turned into a werewolf yet how can she have two different animals living inside of her. Just look at her, isn’t she the most innocent and weakest creature on the planet.” I spoke as he was not making any sense.

“What if she seems weak just to you? What if she’s a secret weapon of her father? After all she’s Jade Ogre’s daughter. C’mon Zeus… take this thought out of your head that she’s weak just because she hasn’t turned yet.” He spoke placing his hand on my shoulder in attempt to make me believe him while I stood there nervously.

“She’s not just a werewolf… but-”
