Chapter 10: Sylvia's Worries

“What happened? Why do you seem like such a downer? Freya inquired as she exited the room with Lucian in her arms.

“Nothing, I was just thinking that; does my baby have to live the same kind of life as I did? Will he suffer the same fate as me?” Sylvia spoke in a low, sad tone.

Freya was a little taken aback. She was not sure what kind of fate the baby in her arms would suffer, but she wanted to make sure that whatever it took, he should not suffer as much as they did.

“Syl, calm down. We either had no parents or were abandoned, but look at our Lucian; he has a caring mother who is concerned for his welfare and future, and there is also me, his aunt, who will do anything to make him happy.” As she flicked the little guy's nose in her hands, she said.
