"Are you ready for this, Syl?" Freya Brooks, Sylvia's friend, asked.
"What?" "When has Slyvia Campbell ever rethought a choice she made?" Slyvia expressed it while exuding confidence.
"Just that I hope everything works out for us. As first-year students, this is the biggest opportunity we could have "Freya spoke as she stared at the hotel tower in front of her.
Sylvia took a glance at the tower in front of her; it was a gigantic 75-story tower, and not everyone could enter and exit on their own. There were rumors that a strong personality had just seized control of the tower and was holding a press conference there.
"I do not care about the size of the building or how lavish it is!” Sylvia took a deep breath and continued, “All I want is the payment that I'm going to have after the hard work."
"Hm, me too!" Freya snaked her hand around Sylvia’s neck and said, "By midnight you would turn 18, so are you going to hook up with someone rich here?"
When Sylvia heard this, she glared at her in anger and said, "Shut up, Reya! You know, I hate men the most in my life, and you are suggesting I hook up with them and all that?"
Freya knew her best friend very well. They had been together for as long as she could remember. She did not know what beef her best friend had with guys to hate them this much. But anyway, it was not like she could do anything to change her perspective toward men.
“Ok, my bad”. Freya apologised and lifted her hand away from her neck.“Better be,” Sylvia said and walked away from there.
Sylvia was an orphan; she did not know who she was or where she had come from. All she knew about her was that she had lived in the orphanage since she was a year old. Freya was the only person she warmed up to during her stay there. And six months ago, she had also moved from the orphanage, which left Sylvia all alone in that place.
Even she had to move out when she turned 18, and that day was tomorrow. She knew she had to find a place to live, but thankfully, Freya was there. She had offered to let her live in her apartment on the condition that she share the rent.
It might feel odd to hear your best friend ask for the rent, but Freya herself was not that strong to support herself and had to face many ups and downs, so Sylvia found this condition reasonable.
They entered the building and showed the text they had received from the HR department about them getting hired.
"This way," The coworker said with a smile, "My name is Jenna; nice to meet you." Her smile did not fade all the time, which made Sylvia and Freya look at each other. They could not help but find it creepy.
Jenna took them into the changing room, handed them a pair of keys, and said, "Here, you can use the respective lockers based on the number on the key, also... Get ready, the party is about to begin," Jenna said, still smiling creepily as she walked away after she finished all the instructions.
They both simply nodded and got ready in an instant.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The party had begun, and the press conference would be held in a while.
Everyone was excited and ready to see what more announcements were left, and most importantly, not many people knew who had taken over the "Moon-Sky Tower." They wanted to see that person, and some had heard the person’s name but had not yet seen him.
“Boss, I am telling you, you should leave,” Josh said as he opened the car door for his boss.
“Why do you love to irritate me so much?” Travis glared at him as he looked at Josh and set his foot out of the car.
Josh said nothing. He had reminded him again and again, but he was not ready to hear his words. He only wanted to say that it was a full moon night and that staying with humans would be risky. Tarvis might not have long for women during that time, but he would become bloodthirsty, and that was dangerous, especially when all the print media and reporters were present there.
After entering the building, they proceeded to the elevator, where Sylvia was working. She was instructed to transport a box to the floor where the party was being hosted from the ground floor.
Her eyes fell on Travis, whose face was covered in a black mask and had goggles on. He was dressed entirely in black, including black gloves on his hands. Her body shivered at his appearance. She could not tell if he was a good or bad person.
After all, who would wear goggles in the middle of the night? Moreover, she could not understand the meaning of holding a press conference almost in the middle of the night.
"Hello, hello… where are you now?" Her eyes were still fixated on the man beside her, who was waiting for the elevator with her when she heard a loud voice in her ear. It was Freya, who wanted to know how her work was going.
“Does it even matter where I am, Reya?” Sylvia said, as tried her best to carry the heavy box in her hand.
“What are you doing? Why do I feel that you are up to something?” Freya said in a naughty voice.
"Damn you, Reya! Do you want me to kill you? Just shut the hell up and keep up with your work; stop disturbing me," she said, and pushed the button on her AirPods that were given to her by the hotel authorities.
The elevator arrived soon, she was about to enter the elevator when Josh stopped her and said, "Take the next one or stairs."
"What?" She could not even express her displeasure when the door of the elevator closed.

“Shut the hell up and go inside!” Travis yelled at him in frustration; the lady was almost dead in his arms, and he could do nothing. For some reason, he was really scared of losing her.“I will right away,” Josh said and ran inside the house. He did not know what had conspired in his absence, but he also knew that that was not the time for him to ask such things.Travis took Sylvia inside his mansion, it was the first time in a hundred or so years of his life that he had brought a woman into his house, which was not there to work as a maid but was in his arms, lifeless.“You—Young master, what is going on?” Nanny Rang ran to him when she saw him all red in blood but what shocked him was the sight of him carrying a woman in his hands.Travis did not even bother to look at her as he simply walked past her and went direct into his room. He was so engrossed with the thought of saving Sylvia that he forgot to bring her to the guest room rather than bringing her to his own room.“What the
“So, what do you think? Do you like this game?” Travis asked with a smug smile on his face. He was already angry at them and wanted to kill them; they were at the bottom of his to-do list. But these people were so eager to die.“Hah! Do you think that you can scare us with this little trick of yours?” Jason retorted and prepared himself to attack him, but before that, Sylvia arrived with a cart full of water bottles. She did not know how many people were there but she had to survive this sudden and horrific battle that came out of the blue.

All the way, he kept checking on Sylvia and her baby. He was worried that she might lose her life if he were to be late, even for a second.“Hang in there, both of you, I will take care of you.” He said he could not take it and sped up, breaking the traffic rules on different passages. On his way, he remembered that Sylvia was a human and she might need a medical practitioner to treat her, so he called Josh to call a doctor over to the palace, saying, “Do not ask, just call and tell them that the person has lost a lot of blood.” He said and hung up the call, not in the mood to explain everything over the call.“What the hell is going on?” Josh murmured to himself and called a friend, who was also a doctor and explained the situation from what Travis had told him.“A head injury?” Doctor Morris was stunned, Josh had never called him for an injury before. “Fine, I will be there in ten minutes,” He said, and hung up the call while Josh went to make preparations for the patient to arrive.
Travis tried to wake Sylvia a few times, but it seemed she had lost a lot of blood and was unconscious. She needed immediate medical care but Travis was unaware of all the human things, so he decided to carry her back his home. He had never done something like this before but it seemed like he wanted to take this woman to his home and keep her safe, moreover, now that the hunters had seen her face, they might target her to keep the bloody brawl secret. Thinking all these things, he could not help but regret calling for a waiter, if he would not have called one, she would not have appeared in front of them to go through so much pain and trauma in a single day.He looked at the baby in the pram and then at his hideous appearance, “What the heck, I can’t just let the child witness something like this.” He murmured and stood up, walked to the staff room, and picked the first thing he touched and put it on.“Seriously, they ruined my precious suit,” He said in a disgust and hurriedly walk
