KILLIAN’S POV
“It’s a pity we couldn't see eye to eye in there.”
I had Celeste tucked under my arm, and we were walking back to the room when Sam caught up to us. I have been hoping to avoid him as I haven't yet calmed down, but he really doesn't get the memo.
“It’s a pity,” I responded curtly, trying to increase my pace, but Celeste wouldn't buy it. She was worried about my wound and wouldn't let me make any sudden movements.
“Uhm….” He stared ahead for a while, still walking in tow with us, then he snapped out of it and faced Celeste.
“It’s been a while since we hang out, if you aren't busy, can we have

KILLIAN'S POV"Killian?"The minute her voice reached my ears, my wolf aggressiveness cooled, the raging storm calmed, and I let go of Corwin, twirling around to face the only person that mattered in my life."Celeste? What are you doing here?" I analyzed where everyone stood, trying to decide who would reach her first, just in case they thought of attacking. I don't want her here, I don't want her anywhere close to the people who had presumed she was a threat to the pack."I....they..." She stared around uneasily, still standing by the door.I turned my back to the room as I walked toward her. "Are you hu
KILLIAN'S POVThe whole room was quiet, the silence stretched for a very long time, but no one dared to break it. Everyone was still trying to process what had just happened. Lysander is dead. I killed him. Do I feel any form of remorse? No. Instead, my wolf was high on adrenaline, ready to do away with the next person who would bring up a challenge. I broke the silence first. I pulled myself up, moving away from the dead body, then I called for the guards outside the conference room. "Move him away from here, let his family know what he did to deserve this." My voice was firm, nothing about it showing that I was moved by what I had just done. He deserved this. The only part that wasn't so perfect for me was the part where it's not Corwin. I so badly wanted it to be Corwin that I considered provoking him, too, just so I could end him. But he wouldn't step out of the line anymore after what he just encountered, and neither was I willing to face the majority with the crime of kill
CELESTE'S POV"Uhm... I'm not sure if I could do that." Flora eyed me suspiciously as she gracefully chopped the vegetables in front of her. "Come on, it's not only me you will be helping, you are also helping your Alpha and the pack in general." I tried to be persuasive even though I knew how stubborn she could be sometimes. "By putting your life at risk? And lying to your mate? Nope, I am not sure I will be able to do that." She shook her head."You aren't risking my life, and you are just saying a selective truth." She glared at me from the corner of her eye. "Still doesn't change anything. Do you want me to tell the Alpha that we are having a girls' night in my place tonight, even though you aren't coming to my place? And the highlight of it all is, you are not telling me where you would be." She pressed a few buttons on the microwave and shut the door. "It's not somewhere dangerous, that's all you should know." "Right? Which is why you are trying very hard to hide it from yo
KILLIAN’S POV“Celeste should be eliminated!” He stated loud and clear, like it was just another topic to be knocked off the list. Like he hasn't just sentenced my mate to death with the flick of his damn tongue. The room instantly turned silent. Not the peaceful kind. The kind that was pregnant and was on the verge of giving birth to utter chaos. Every person around knew that he had crossed the line, everyone but the real culprit. I stood slowly, my chair scraping against that polished wood floor. My wolf growled at the same time, the sound sharp and final. He called whatever happened today upon himself. Every eye was focused on me, the look of unease clear in them. Everyone but Corwin who seemed proud that he could evoke such a reaction from me. “What did you just say?” I asked, my voice low and calm. Too calm for the raging fire building up inside me. “You heard me…” He mumbled, a trace of smirk on his lips. “If she is a threat to the pack and you are not willing to agree wit
KILLIAN'S POVSam walked in smooth as ever, not a single form of hesitation in his steps despite the set of eyes on him. At first, I thought we were all collectively surprised by his sudden interruption, but my gaze moved to Corwin, and I soon learned from his facial expression that he definitely wasn’t stunned by the unexpected visitor. "Sam, we are in the middle of something important. Can you excuse us first, whatever you want to say can wait." I tried to be calm. "Oh, I know. Which is exactly why I am here. I have something important to add to the conversation if you don't mind." He smiled the type of smile that meant he was up to no good. His infamous smug. "Actually, I mind, and I would love for you to step out first. If we are done, then you can come in and share whatever you deem worthy of our time." I stated firmly, expressing through my tone, that I was not in for any of bullshit. "I insist, brother. What I am about to say is equally as important." He folded his hands in
