Selina’s POV

I paced the length of my room, the night pressing heavy against the glass of the windows, the city beyond seeming smaller, darker, as if even the lights of the skyscrapers couldn’t keep the shadows at bay anymore, as if the weight of everything that had been set in motion was creeping closer with every heartbeat, every breath that felt too shallow, too tight. Damon slept in the next room, innocent, oblivious to the storm building around him, and I hated it—hated that I couldn’t keep the world from bleeding through the cracks of the sanctuary I’d tried so hard to build for him, hated that even now, even after everything, I was powerless to stop it alone.

I called Vera.

I didn’t even think—I just did it, my fingers trembling as I dialed, my voice raw when she answered, as if she’d known I would need her tonight.

“Selina?” Vera’s voice was soft, worried, a balm I didn’t deserve.

“I need you to come over,” I whispered, forcing the words past the lump in my throat. “Please.”

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption     The Scent of What Shouldn’t Be

Grant’s POVI didn’t know what the fuck was happening, but the second I stepped into that room, the air changed, thick and heavy like a storm about to break, and everything in me—every instinct, every nerve, every goddamn fiber of my being—zeroed in on her, on Vera, on the human I had barely spared a glance for, on the woman I thought was just another complication, another liability, another reason for Lucas to grind his teeth in frustration—and in that instant, nothing else mattered, not the destruction in the city, not the trail of bodies we hadn’t yet solved, not the war that was coming, not even Selina, who I’d sworn to protect at all costs, because the scent hit me like lightning, like fire, like something so ancient and deep that it went beyond thought, beyond reason, beyond anything I could’ve prepared for.I froze. The words I’d been about to say—gone, burned away in the heat of that single, devastating truth. And I saw her. I really saw her, Selina's human friend. But not as

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    A Dangerous Return

Selina’s POVThe weight of the decision pressed on me like a stone tied around my neck, dragging at my every breath, my every thought, my every step as Vera and I approached the towering gates of the Blackwood estate, the iron and stone looming before us like a reminder of all the pain, all the history, all the ghosts I had tried so hard to leave behind, and yet here I was, returning not as his mate I had once been, not as the woman who had once belonged here, but as a mother with no other choice, with nothing left to lose but the boy whose safety meant more to me than every ounce of pride, every shard of dignity I might still have clutched to my chest had the world been a kinder place.Vera walked beside me, her expression hard as steel, her shoulders squared, her eyes sharp as blades, as if daring the very walls of this place to challenge her, to judge her, to try and strip from her the strength she had wrapped around herself like armor, and I drew from that strength, breathed it in

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    A Father’s War

Lucas's POVThe knock came just after dawn—too intentional, too measured to be a mistake. A courier with no scent, no face worth remembering, and no name offered, just a crate left at the gates of the Blackwood estate as if it were nothing more than a delivery of wine or weapons or whatever else the city sent my way when it tried to curry favor or beg forgiveness. But I knew. The moment I saw it—the fine black silk seeping red at the edges, the scent of blood so thick it drowned the morning air—I knew. And when I opened it, I felt the bond snap, felt the scream of my pack tear through my mind like a blade. A young wolf’s face stared back at me from within the silk, his eyes frozen wide with terror, his mouth parted as if to snarl or beg or both, his life snuffed out and left as a message, a warning, a declaration of war.The room tilted. My knees threatened to give way. But I didn’t fall. I didn’t roar. I didn’t tear the estate apart. Not yet.Because alongside the grief—the gutting,

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    Blood Gift

Jonathan’s POVThe decision settled over me like a second skin, fitting so well, so naturally, that I almost wondered how I’d ever borne the weight of my human mask for so long, how I’d ever hidden this truth beneath polished smiles and tailored suits, beneath soft words and gentler touches, how I’d let myself believe for even a moment that I could win Selina’s heart with patience and devotion when the truth — the raw, brutal truth — was that hearts weren’t won by kindness, not hearts like hers, not hearts bound by fated bonds and ancient instincts, hearts that beat for wolves and war, not civility and control, and so I shed the last of my illusions along with the last vestiges of mercy that might have lingered in the hollow spaces where my soul used to be, and I gave myself fully to the predator.I moved through the city’s veins with purpose now, no longer aimless, no longer hunting at random, no longer feeding to sate hunger alone—I was choosing, and the choice was his, Lucas Blackw

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    Predator’s Reign

Jonathan’s POVThe sun threatened the horizon, but I didn’t retreat. No. I stood on that rooftop, the chill wind dragging at my coat, the city beneath me painted in the blood of the night, and I watched the chaos bloom. The sirens, the shouting, the confusion. I had done this. I had turned their safe streets into my hunting ground. I had carved fear into the bones of this city, and it was glorious. But it wasn’t enough.Because still—still—I could feel her. Selina. The way she had looked at me, not with the hunger I craved, not with the need I had bled for, but with guilt, with regret, with that distant, haunted longing that was never for me. It was always him. Lucas. That wolf. That failure of a mate who had thrown her aside and still held her heart in chains. And I hated him for it.The predator in me snarled, my fangs bared as I hissed between clenched teeth, the taste of blood still rich on my tongue. I could end this. I could end him. I could tear his throat out and take what was
