*Bellatrix*

I already knew to expect Tee's call, so when I saw his name flashing on my phone's screen as I lay down on the king sized bed it wasn't a surprise. I swiped my screen and sat up.

"Bellatrix" his deep voice boomed from across the phone. "You got into his house, didn't you?"

"I did, although I'm quite sure you already know somehow, so that isn't why you called."

"You are smart." He remarked with a chuckle.

"If I weren't, I wouldn't have survived being a lone wolf hunter." I retorted.

"Easy on the sharp tone Bellatrix, after all we are allies."

"Why did you call? Because you should know I do not have any information yet, besides you haven't even specified what I'm really doing here for you."

There is a pause at the end of the phone, before Tee spoke again, ignoring my last sentence. "You know, when I make a deal with a person, what I detest the most is it being wavered by whatever the cause may be."

I scoffed, rolling my eyes even if he couldn't see me. "What are you saying exactly?"

"What I mean is that you cannot afford to get distracted by anything whatsoever, you should know you would die if they ever get to find out who you really are and what you do."

"I knew that before I accepted to do this, so your lecture is absolutely not needed"

"Good. We had better keep it at that then honey.." I cringed at his sarcastic use of a pet name as he chuckled again and then hung up.

I sighed, dropping the phone. I hated doing something like this, heck.. I never even bargained being a spy or working for a man whose face I didn't even know, I was fine being a lone wolf hunter until recently I guess.. Desperate times calls for desperate measures, didn't they say?.

Anyone would think my accepting Tee's offer was a foolish thing to do, but it was my only choice. There were facts regarding my parent's death that kept trailing back to me, and a connection with the Lycan world I hated so much also coupled with my recent dreams. Either way, I had to find out.

I lay back down on my bed, my mind traveling back to the day it all started.

••

~Flashback~

It was on a snowy morning, and as usual Mom and Dad bade us goodbye as they left for work. They both worked for the crescent moon pack, Mum as a nurse in the Pack's hospital and Dad as a trainer of the growing male wolves. It was scarce to see humans like my parents hold such positions in a Lycan Pack, but my parents had rare abilities that normal humans did not possess hence their job types.

Though Dad and Mum worked for the crescent moon Pack, they never let Karen or I wander into any wolf pack, we had to stay in the vicinity of humans alone.. For our safety, they always said but even as young as I was I knew there was something more to it. Karen was only four, and I was Ten.

...I had a dream that morning, but I had been so stupid not to have told them.. It probably would have saved them. I saw them — My mum kept running with her holding my hands, looking over her shoulders like she was being chased... Feet scrunching on the dry leaves behind her.. She was really being chased and not by a single person, probably two or more.

...Suddenly she ran out of breath and stopped, she looked at me with tears in her eyes. "Run Bella and don't look back"

..."Mum?"

...."Just keep running baby girl."

... I did as she said and kept running, and when I heard the shrill scream of my mother fill the forest, I jerked awake. — That was the nightmare I had, but I didn't speak to anyone about it.

The day passed by and the sun had began to go down, it was right about this time Dad and Mum had to be back home and so when I heard the doorbell ring that evening, I knew something was wrong. Mother and Father never rang the doorbell and we never had visitors.

I ran to the door after checking that Karen was still sound asleep. I pushed it open, standing in front of me was a Lycan man, I could tell by the colored flicks swirling in his eyes.

"Bellatrix Fallon?" He asked.

"That's me...."

"I'm from the crescent moon pack and I'm sorry but you would have to come with me."

I furrowed my brows at him. "Why?"

"There is someone you need to meet, you should come with your sister too."

"And what if I don't come with you?"

"Then you might not see your Parents anymore."

I was never a fan of going out with a stranger but when this Lycan mentioned my parents I lost all sanity. I ran back inside, swiftly but carefully I lifted Karen into my arms as she was still fast asleep and ran back to the door.

"Shall we?" The Lycan asked.

"Lead the way" I muttered in reply.

I probably shouldn't have come, was all I could think as I stared at mum and dad's body, half of their body was burnt and the only way I easily recognized them was the family bracelet we all had on their hands.

"It was a rogue attack, and they were trying to protect the pack. We are sorry for your loss."

It was one thing to be sorry, it was also one thing to do something about it. They didn't, and to make things worse and more suspicious, they changed their pack name.

It was then I concluded, my parent's death was more than a rogue attack, somehow it had to do with me. My reoccurring nightmares after that day confirmed it.

~Two days later~

Blame my heightened sense of hearing to my personal years of training, but sometimes chances are not to be taken. Even as subtle as the footsteps approaching the kitchen was, I could still make them out. I gripped the knife on my hand and swiftly turned, its hilt almost making contact with Alec's neck as he stepped inside.

I dropped the knife in shock, "Alec?"

Alec's confused expression met the knife that had just fallen from my hands before meeting my eyes, "what the hell, lady!" He exclaimed.

"Uhm, sorry.. I thought you were someone dangerous." I muttered honestly, taking a step away from him.

"You are kidding right? What dangerous person would be in a house only inhabited by the both of us?"

"The guards too."

"The guards do not live here.. And stop trying to change the damn topic!"

I almost rolled my eyes at him, but I caught myself and muttered an apology that I sure as hell didn't mean. He would be better off dead by my hands, being a Lycan added to that, but given his good looks my murderous intentions might have to stall for a while.. Not to lie, Alec was by far too gorgeous for his own goods and though I didn't know what specie of Lycan he was, but if he is the Alpha then it would mean he would be just as powerful too and not so easy to kill.

"Forget that, get dressed, we are going out." Alec suddenly said.

"Sorry, what? We? Like both of us?" I asked, surprised.

"I do not fancy repeating a statement I have already made clear, you have five minutes.. Meet me in the living room."

I hurriedly ran out of the kitchen to the room, not out of fear of Alec, but excitement as to what I would get to know or what information I might stumble upon today.

I grinned to myself as I shrugged on a blue floral dress and a pair of boots. I didn't bring in my things from home, but I had gone grocery shopping yesterday and ended up getting a few clothes at the thrift shop too, this dress and boots included.

I slipped my gun and sheathed knife to the sides of my boot, like I said earlier, I would rather not take chances. I had already made it to the door, when I felt vibrate in the hand purse hung around my neck, even before I saw the name, I knew who it was — Tee. Like he can sense everything happening.

I clicked on the answer button.

"There is no time for pleasantries, so I will just get straight to the point. Put on those earrings that are in the box I gave you, they are like menial speakers, I need to hear everything that would be of use to me, and don't you dare pull them off."

He didn't even wait for my reply before he ended call, I stared at my phone, curiosity starting to swirl in me. Who was Tee exactly? And how on earth did he know I was going out with Alec?

I didn't want it, heck I was still fucking struggling as an Alpha, talk more of being the Alpha King, yet I could tell that it was something I had to do — after all, the

[Bellatrix:] It is midnight, I can see it from the little opening at the top of the walls. I need to get out of here. I glance at my brother who hasn't talked to me since his outburst earlier. He is asleep. I sigh. The ropes binding us are laced with dark magic. I know, because I have tried to loosen it out, but each it keeps sending jolts of painful electric bolts down my spine. I bit my lips in anger. This shouldn't be like this. This shouldn't fucking end like this. I shut my eyes, wishing that he was here.. Alec. "No proper training, and yet you call yourself the chosen" I jerk out of my train of thoughts and glance at my brother. "You were not sleeping" I state. He rolls his eyes, "Who sleeps in a situation like this?" I gulp, short of words. My brother is disappointed in me and I have no idea what to do, exept- "You speak like it was my choice, brother" I finally say, holding his icy stare. "Everyone has a choice, Bellatrix!" "Just like you had a choice when you decided

Six hours left."Hera, are we set?"Hera appears how of thin air, holding a book. "What's that?" "Just come with me" Coming with Hera meant her taking us to the pool of transition which was now unfreezed. I glance back at the pack house and it as silent as a graveyard, hopefully there won't be any attacks on my pack while I am away seeing that I am leaving Hera in charge.Hera places the book beside the bank of the pool, kneels and starts to chant incoherent magical words. She then brings out a knife and asks me to stretch my fingers, I do, and in flash she swipes the knife over my thumb, blood spills out and lands in the pool.I don't say anything as my thumb starts to heal. She knows what she is doing."What the hell!" Karen mutters from behind me. The pool starts to shake, and the water shoots

If I open my eyes now, I will be alive, not dead like a part of me wished I was. There's no reason to pretend it won't happen again, but if I open my eyes now... I'm still here.
