Dante’s POV

Today, I decided to visit the summer camp that my pack recently established. Luna Annette was overseeing the entire program, which was designed to run for a month. It was an initiative meant to bring our younger generation closer to each other, to their roots, to the strength of the kingdom.

When I arrived, I saw children of various ages split into groups, each engaged in different activities. Everything seemed to be going smoothly.

One of the elders approached me with a proud expression.

“Alpha,” he said, “we have received many elite participants, even from noble bloodlines. Everything is going better than expected. Our name is growing stronger with each passing day.”

I nodded, watching the children move in unison under the careful instruction of their guides. “Isn’t that the goal of all this? For our pack to grow and flourish?”

The elders nodded in agreement. As we walked further into the grounds, we passed groups of young wolves in training. Some were sparring, others

Ves, I heard about the summer camp happening at Phantom Moons,” I said casually, trying not to sound too eager. “Did you apply for the kids?”She glanced at me with narrowed eyes. “How did you know?”I chuckled lightly. “It’s the talk of the town, Ves. Every parent is practically clawing to get their child enrolled. I heard that just having a certificate from that camp guarantees admission into the top schools in the capital, the ones where even money can’t buy a seat.”She hesitated, looking away as if weighing something. “It’s true… but you must know that—”“I know why you’re hesitating,” I said gently, cutting in before she could spiral. “But tell me, what can we change about the past? Nothing. What’s done is done. Still, why should that stop us from taking a step forward? Those people… they aren’t bad. They won’t harm us. If we’re being offered an opportunity, if our kids are being offered an opportunity, then why should we walk away from it?”I looked her in the eye, my voice fir

Scarlet’s POVThe first time I met Violet, she was like a storm and dangerously close to collapse. Her body was thin, so frighteningly thin, it was as if the life inside her was flickering like a dying flame. Bones jutted beneath her skin, and her cheeks were hollow, but her eyes, eerie, ocean-blue eyes, held an intensity I had never seen before. She was unpredictable, charged like a wire stripped bare, snapping at anyone who dared come near her. No one could approach her except the king. Only his presence seemed to settle the storm, if only for a few brief moments.Sometimes, she would speak with perfect clarity, stringing words together with terrifying wisdom, and then other times, she would fall into a sleep so deep, it felt as though she was slipping between worlds. I have dealt with many patients before, but none like Violet. There was something ancient and weary about her, as if her body was still alive, but her soul had wandered far beyond reach.Today, however, was different.

Scarlet’s POVUgh. Whose face did I see this morning? No wonder my day turned upside down.As if bumping into Princess Estelle’s brooding husband wasn’t enough, I had to run into her brother too. The unofficial crown prince. Early thirties. Tall. Handsome. Too handsome. The kind of man you accidentally lock eyes with and then can’t look away.He was standing beside the king, listening quietly to something his uncle was saying. His sharp jawline, that still composure, and the way his tailored black suit clung to him in all the right places and my mouth literally watered. What the hell was wrong with me today? My daughter had just gone away for a few days, and suddenly I was thirsting after random men? Vespera had been trying to set me up for years now, practically begging me to date again, but it never worked. And then this man shows up. No, it wasn’t attraction, definitely not. But have you ever seen someone so absurdly good-looking that your brain just… glitched? Why do I have a weak

Scarlet’s POVToday, I was summoned to check on Princess Aria. Her mother, Princess Estelle, seemed deeply distressed because the little girl had thrown a severe tantrum. Aria, being autistic, often experienced outbursts that few knew how to handle. It wasn’t unusual, but today, something had clearly shaken the palace. As I approached the hallway outside the princess's chambers, I heard raised voices echoing from within.“Have you lost your mind, Estelle?” a man barked, his voice sharp and furious. “She is sick! She is disabled! And you want to send her to that war drill?”His words cut through the silence like a blade.“I know people call it a summer camp, but let's not pretend. It is no different from a battlefield for children. How do you expect her to survive there? Do you want her to be hurt?”Princess Estelle responded, her voice taut but controlled. “Aaron, try to understand… she wants to go. All her friends are going, children of nobles, top-ranking officials. She is the only

“Alpha,” Elizabeth said softly, careful not to wake the child. “Let me put her to bed. If she wakes up now and doesn’t see you, she’ll cry, and it’s hard to watch her cry. She doesn’t make a sound, but… it breaks you.”Annette, who had been quiet again, suddenly asked, “Aunt… she doesn’t speak?”Elizabeth nodded, her eyes growing moist. During her birth, there was an accident. It damaged her throat, especially the vocal cords. We’re trying everything we can… but so far, there’s been no sound. Not even a whisper.”She paused, her voice trembling.“I pray to the goddess every night that before I die, I will hear her say something or anything. It hurts. It hurts to see her frustrated, unable to express herself. When she cries, there’s no sound. It’s like watching a scream locked inside a glass box.”A single tear escaped her. “Maybe we have coddled her too much. But tell me, how are we supposed to act normal with her when she’s not? Doesn’t she deserve a little extra love for trying, ever

Dante’s POV“You’re so handsome,” Nora suddenly said, smiling brightly. “Just like my daddy.”I smirked. “Less or more?”She tilted her head, thoughtful, then said with dramatic flair, “Just a little less.”We all burst into laughter at that, Annette, Elizabeth, even me.“She’s so cute,” Annette said, nearly pinching Nora’s cheek. “Are your siblings as adorable as you?”Nora huffed. “Auggie is a meanie, and Amy is a devil.”Before I could even react, a small blur flew at us like a gust of wind. Another toddler, clearly Amy, shoved Nora aside and latched tightly onto my legs.“Amy!” Elizabeth gasped. The little one didn’t respond. Her brows were scrunched, her lips trembling, like she was about to burst into tears.Elizabeth’s voice turned soft. “Sweetheart, come to Grandma. Let Alpha go, okay?”But Amy only clung tighter, her tiny fingers gripping my trousers like I was her anchor in a storm.“It’s okay, Madam,” I said gently. “We have met before. That’s why they know me.”Elizabeth l

Dante’s POVA moment passed before the boy, Auggie, answered from above with a loud, cheeky voice, “Don’t want to!”Elizabeth chuckled, not even surprised. “He is just like his father.”I arched a brow. “Stubborn?”She gave a tired laugh. “Imagine the stubbornness of Killian and Vespara combined.”I winced playfully. “Ah… that’s a lethal combo. Is he lazy like Kill, too?”“Oh, no,” she said with an amused grin. “That would be our Nora, the lazy princess.”Just then, a new voice called out from above, “Did somebody call me?”I looked up and saw a girl peeking over the railing on the second floor. She was familiar somehow, but I couldn’t quite place how and suddenly everything clicked. Her eyes widened the moment she saw me, curious, startled, intrigued.aShe leaned over the railing to get a better look, and before I could process what was happening, she slipped.“No!” Annette gasped in horror.Even Elizabeth’s breath hitched. My body tensed, already ready to lunge forward but before I

  • Alpha’s Forbidden Temptation   Chapter 93

Dante’s POVI asked Annette this morning if she would like to accompany me to visit Elizabeth. It had been two days since Vespara left the temple without looking at me, and something in me kept wondering if she had returned by now. She never stayed here for too long.We reached Elizabeth’s home just before lunch, and the moment we stepped inside, I could feel a shift in the atmosphere. It wasn’t the usual serene and quiet space I had come to associate with the house. Instead, it felt alive, busy, scattered, as if the home itself had awakened from slumber. I saw Elizabeth sitting alone on the couch in the living room, watching some cartoon on low volume. She turned the moment she sensed us and smiled. “Alpha… Luna,” she greeted us warmly. “You should have sent a message. I would have arranged a proper lunch.”I smiled back at her while taking in her face, the fine lines, the wisdom in her gaze and the stubborn light that never dimmed. “How are you? We heard you were unwell.”“I’m fine
