Chapter- 15 " Is It Time to Move On? "
Alice POV
I turned to say goodnight and booooom! All lights went off, and the room drowned in darkness. Thanks to the shifters’ ability, I could see shapes in the dark, but it was a complete blackout. You couldn’t tell who’s who.
Suddenly the light came back. Oh no, it was the spotlight. What? Yeah! Which was spotted on me? Wait! not only me. Me and... Max! Goddess, they were kidding, right?
Max was dressed in a dark blue suit and white shirt, his blond hair styled in a messy look which makes him look like fucking Prince charming.
He positioned in front of me on one knee with a ring box in hand. Freaking hell dude! What was I dreaming or completely knocked out, with what? Seven or eight drinks from evening till tonight. Fuck holy shit, Alice.

Alice POV I was in my office, head dipped busy with paperwork and my Queen’s duties. Goddess, now I understand the reason my mother spends so little time with us. I entered Alice’s room and was knocked out by a heavenly scent of sandalwood. It calmed my inner beast as I stepped further inside, but that wasn’t what made my breath hitch. I froze, the source turned out to be a beautiful young woman in a pretty thigh-length matte black dress, hair tied up in a half up down style, some curls were escaping to dangle around her heart-shaped face making her look like an angel descended from heaven.
