Max P.O.V I was in my room’s balcony, sitting on a black recliner with a steaming cup of coffee in my hands, sipping as I watched a beautiful morning of my realm, Dragomair. Everything looked so calm and soothing as chilled air touched my skin but also had a perfect amount of sun rays to give me a warm hug. And this breathtaking view of green mountains and blue sky, sweetest voice of birds singing in chorus. The beauty of this environment always helps me to come up with a good solution to my problems, or stop incoherent thoughts that keep nagging inside my head. I didn’t know why I thought that, but I had a feeling that something’s wrong. I could tell Alice was hiding something from me that continuously worries her, and I want to help badly.
I entered Alice’s room and was knocked out by a heavenly scent of sandalwood. It calmed my inner beast as I stepped further inside, but that wasn’t what made my breath hitch. I froze, the source turned out to be a beautiful young woman in a pretty thigh-length matte black dress, hair tied up in a half up down style, some curls were escaping to dangle around her heart-shaped face making her look like an angel descended from heaven. Ellyn? She saw me checking her from head to toe and a rosiness carved her cheeks a dark shade of pink. I shook my head to clear my mind, then cleared my throat to gain her attention, but immediately regretted as her chocolaty orbs met mine. What the hell was that? I felt like a light shiver ran down my insides as she innocently peeked
Alice P O V I skipped a breath as he shook his head as if chastising his own thoughts before standing from his comfortable space to amble towards me... WTF!? What did he want to do now?! I panicked as the thoughts crossed inside my head, but I stayed glued to my place and gathered all my willpower not to run away like a 5′-year-old scared toddler. He stopped in front of me, but his expressions remained the same, soft and calm. I was wondering what’s going on in his mind. I could see wheels running inside his head as her eyes dropped to my lips. Goddess helps me, I pray to the moon goddess that he better not prank me again, otherwise mate or not, I will break his neck this time.
Gabriel P O V She shouted in her ferocious booming voice before throwing a gigantic fireball creating with her fire magic at me. “Fucking liars! How dare you set a foot in my territory while well aware of the fact that I hate fuckin’ werewolf and they’re very existence! Death is a small price to pay for your mistake.” My claws came out in the sense of attack as Damon held the position. He dozed that big angry red fireball very easily with his insane wolf speed, which made that stupid witch gasped in surprise. I chuckled darkly as I stood in front of her again. I could see the fire in her eyes. She was fuming right now from hatred and anger which she held for her mate, and each and every werewolf, as I held for mine mate.
*** Alice P O V I was in my office and, as always, head dipped busy with paperwork and updates. Though I love my work, it always provided me a way to escape from everything that’s going around or I could guarantee to go nuts with all of these thoughts continuously nagging my mind. And the cherry on top when you have an animal soul joined with yours to throw tantrums and free commentary now and then. I started my work again as I heard a knock on my office door before the doors cracked open and revealed a girl figure entering. I looked up to see her, and the mere sight of her made my blood boil in my veins. Here she was, standing in front of me with her prominent bitch expression clinging to her face. One hand, one hip while other in hair, playing with her curls. Goddess, what the hell! Why is this piece of scum here? I cleared my throat to gain her attention and, more than that, to keep myself in check and
**** Max P O V When I was in my kingdom, my dad or our respectable king gave me the responsibility of organizing a grand dragon ball which was held every year in Dragomair on the occasion of the firelight festival. Hmm, the firelight festival was important because we believe that ritual blessed our tribes with more strength and made them powerful. Every year we celebrate that day in our castle and organize a grand ball, in which the entire kingdom’s people present and celebrate together. And here I was working to make this day special for all because my dad gave me this responsibility that year and his hidden agenda was to make me connect with my kingdom’s people more. Well, it wasn’t like I was not already connected with my people. He just wanted to keep me busy. Okay, enough about this. I still had to invite my beautiful fiancee to accompany me tonight. God, I couldn’t wait to meet her again. Three days and nig
**** Gabriel P O V I waddled in a dark alley. There was only darkness till the far end, like my life. A chuckle left my mouth at that thought. I shook my head to stop myself from dwelling any further on this thought and my wolf to start his lectures again. I gazed in front of me as I reached the end of the dark alley and at my location. There was a house in front of me. Was it mine? Nope, it wasn’t mine. Then whom? You will find out soon... I entered inside the big mansion-like house. “Look like fucker spent a good amount of money on his living arrangements, impressive.” I scoffed. ‘Pity he can’t enjoy this anymore.’ I thought as I made my way further inside to sit on the black leather lounge in the living room. I made myself comfortable on black elite looking lounge but not before pouring myself a drink from the minibar in another corner of the living room. I throw my head back to relax mode as whispers in a lazy
**** Alice P O V I glanced at the mirror to meet the eye of a lady in a maroon dress with dark hair tied up in a fancy bun, wearing a pair of beautiful diamond earrings. Light makeup as always and black matte wedges which go perfectly with a ball gown. Hmm, I was going to attend the firelight festival tonight. The celebration was at Dragomair (The realm of Dragons). I wasn’t sure why, but I was not feeling well and Rhea was sad, too. I asked her so many times and she said she didn’t know what it was, but it was probably an indication of something about to happen. And ever since, I continuously thought about the scenarios, and preparing myself for what’s about to come. But no such luck. I came out of my thoughts when I heard my room’s door open and someone entered inside. I turned to look and met my cousin sister Ellyn. She looked fabulous in her emerald color dress, which suits her perfectly and showed he
