Sebastian POV

"Go get her.”

I muttered to Nuel, who stared in pure astonishment as my fist reddened and my wolf threatened to unleash, ready to take what is rightfully his, her.

“Okay, Alpha.”

He said and disappeared. I stared blankly into Sylvester’s eyes. He groaned in pain, falling back to the ground in his attempt to rise, and as much as it disturbs me… it satisfies me too.

“Take care of my brother.”

I said to Dave, the manager of the club a young omega, and also half human.

“Yes, my Alpha. And welcome back to Arkansas.”

He said as I walked out of the club, my escort trailing behind me. In despair, I watched the dark clouds seeming to swallow the whole of Arkansas.

“Why did you run from me?”

My fist clenched so hard my veins popped, my entire body aching and chest heaving. Whatever her name is she is the curse in my blood, and she is the cure.

“Welcome, Alpha Sebastian to your humble abode.”

The greeting echoed. Despite the hollow reminder of my mother’s absence in the massive mansion, the line up of girls holding petals and flowers caught my interest. But the curse deepened, and the crave for flesh became unbearable.

“Get me the leader of Light Pack.”

I muttered. Two of my boys instantly disappeared to carry out the order. Dragging my feet slowly into the house, the faces of the girls welcoming me blurred into one, the eyes of the girl in LA. The girl who healed and ruined me from the very first moment had replaced theirs.

“My Alpha.”

Nuel called, and my chest tightened. He must’ve brought news about her, the woman who has my destiny tied to hers without even knowing it.

“She cried and doesn’t want to talk to me,” he said from behind, his energy merging with mine as the cravings in my body eased just a little.

“But I followed her home.”

He added, glancing at the girls, who were obviously confused about everything running through our heads.

“You can leave.”

He dismissed them, and they quickly turned around and walked away, their faces tight. No doubt they’ll gossip if they get the chance.

“Let me see my Father.”

I said, doing everything in my power to stay balanced, to keep my sanity in place. A girl I only had for one night shouldn’t have this kind of control over my entire existence. After all, I am Sebastian King, the most feared Alpha in the world. And I have a reputation of fierceness to protect.

“Dad?”

I called the moment I stepped inside. He was in his wolf form, and I could clearly see where his bane sores had spread. If only I had been around, Dad would still have his title. His strength.

He growled, his eyes saying everything, his helplessness, his weakness. But it’s going to end soon. I’ll do whatever I must to make him the fighter, the protector, the rebellious wolf king he once was.

“I’m back, Dad.”

I announced, even though he was staring straight into my misty eyes. Despite hating the vulnerability swallowing me, one truth hit deep, my family is everything, no matter how dramatic or crazy they are.

Right before my eyes, he shifted back into his human form.

“Welcome back home, Sebastian.”

He mumbled. The man who taught me strength and boldness now looked pale and empty.

I moved closer, covering him with a cotton cloth and grazing his injuries softly, hoping he couldn’t feel my wolf raging inside me.

“Things have gone so bad, Sebastian. Me, your mother… the whole pack has lost their pride.”

He said, voice trembling. But rather than drown with him in despair, I vowed to take back what belongs to the pack.

“My Alpha, they’ve brought Light Pack’s leader.”

Nuel announced. I saw Father shiver, but I smiled because very soon, everyone will know who the true king is.

“Yes, I’m waiting for the Alpha you claimed was here. Sebastian King is ruling LA, stupid.”

The voice boomed, and I peered through the living room curtain. A tall man stood outside , black shirt, long beard nearly reaching his waist. So this is the leader of the Light Pack, the one bold enough to trespass into Moon Pack territory.

“I’ll burn this place down if you don’t bring your imaginative Alpha out here. And that slow witted Sylvester won’t be able to stop me.”

My anger multiplied. He dared to ridicule my people.

“You should see him now, my Alpha,”

Nuel whispered urgently.

The crazy man lunged at one of my boys and, in the blink of an eye, buried his claws into his ribs.

“This is for daring to lure me here. I knew it and that’s why I followed you. To ruin you.”

His wicked laughter echoed as my patience snapped. I stepped out from behind the thin curtain.

“Let him go. Right now.”

Nuel’s voice cracked with rage, but the man only laughed deeper.

“You dare speak to me, you lowly wolf?”

He stalked toward Nuel, barely glancing my way.

“You’ll pay greatly for insulting the presence of the Alpha,” Nuel shot back.

The man’s laughter stopped. Slowly, he turned his gaze to me, his mouth twisting in a taunting grin.

“You should know better than to challenge me, Sylvester King.”

Nuel immediately stepped in front of me, trembling with a fury I’d never seen in him.

“You’re going too far,” he warned, then turned to me.

“I’m very sorry, my Alpha.”

The man’s irritation sharpened. He spat out a laugh full of disdain.

“Sylvester King, you wish you were in your brother’s position. But you’re just a slow witted wolf. I should have crippled you the day I took your mother.”

Everything went silent. And then nothing but instinct and in seconds, my hand was around his throat. His face drained of color, his eyes bulged as I lifted him off the ground. My wolf roared through me, demanding I finish him off .

“H…how are you this powerful?” he choked, legs trembling as his wolf battled with mine but failed.

“Save… me… please.”

I dropped him, nearly lifeless, at my feet.

Just then, Sylvester burst inside, confusion twisting his face.

“You’re going to regret embarrassing me at the club like that, Sebastian,”

Sylvester growled, his voice vibrating through the whole room.

The door creaked open again, and the sharp thump of heels echoed so loudly it nearly deafened me.

“I’m here, Sebastian,”

the familiar feminine voice murmured.

  • Alpha’s Homecoming    1000 Miles Away Is Better

Clair’s POV My thighs hurt, making the fresh memories of his wild touches feel so vivid, the way he’d spread my legs apart and drive roughly into me had been both terrifying and satisfying. But I hate him, and maybe if only I could throw his money back at him at that moment, the tone whispering how shameless I have been, holding him tight as he moved inside of me, how shamelessly I have hoped he wouldn’t stop nuzzling my neckline with his skillful lips and the way I had clung to him and beg him not to stop, totally ignoring he’s a stranger giving me a price for my first time. “It’s all over now mum, you will live, I promise.” I murmured as I twisted the knob into our apartment. It was so dark there and the rays of sunlight that comes in through the blinds sent a strange message across my whole body. The underground club has been like this too. The only difference is that my house doesn’t have any red lights flickering through the walls. “Dr said she sent the surgery money. “
