Airen's POV Carlotta was waiting for us just inside the back door. The moment we stepped inside she pounced. "Oh good! Finally, Rachel, I have some things for you to look at that we could use for the baby's room!" She exclaimed happily, showing us her phone which was currently on a baby shopping site. I looked at the phone in surprise while Rachel looked pale. "Mother, do you really think that's necessary right now? I mean we're not even done with the wedding...." "Of course it's necessary! Before you know it the little tyke will be here and you won't have time for anything anymore. Now, look at this bassinet, I thought it would be perfect for the living room here....." Carlotta continued on and on while Rachel groaned and shot me yet another dirty look. After about 20 minutes of onesies, pacifiers, bibs, cribs, and toys Rachel's head looked like it was about to explode. "Mother, why don't we pause this discussion until after the wedding? As in when I'm back from my honeymoon?"

Airen's POV Rachel and I sat in the kitchen talking for a while. She sipped her coffee while I chugged glass after glass of water. No matter how much water I drank I didn't feel any better. If anything I was getting worse. Nasuea ruled my stomach with an iorn fist until even ice-cold water sounded unappealing. Lightheadedness and dizziness forced me to take a seat on a bar stool next to Rachel. My body was shaking like a leaf in brutally harsh wind and I felt weaker than a newborn lamb. Aches soon began to curl around my muscles like shadowy fingers strangling them. I tried to focus on the conversation with Rachel, and tried to act like nothing was wrong, but I knew that soon my nose would start to bleed and I would be forced to the bathroom in order to throw up the very limited contents of my stomach. Airen's POV When I first woke up I didn't want to move. Not because I was in pain, but because I was so comfortable. I was surrounded by a heavenly warmth that made me feel safe. The pillows and blankets were soft and fluffy and they were covered in a wonderful scent. They smelled like whiskey, mint, and eucalyptus. I felt safe and warm and cozy and all I wanted to do was burrow further into the soft bed and cushions and sleep for a million years. Airen's POV Once the dishes were done I finished cleaning the kitchen by wiping off all of the counters. I then washed my hands and dried them on a kitchen towel. "I know you're there," I said quietly to the darkness behind me. Everyone else had long since gone to bed or gone home. Airen's POV I don't know why I agreed to stay in his room, and more specifically, his bed other than I knew I had a choice. All day the feeling of being trapped had followed me like a dark cloud. Fear and the invisible pressure of becoming a werewolf's mate became heavier and heavier throughout the day. And not just any werewolf's mate, but an Alpha's mate and one of the world's most feared Alpha's at that. Past experiences made me fearful of commitment and long for freedom.
