Chapter Ten

Airen's POV

When I first woke up I didn't want to move. Not because I was in pain, but because I was so comfortable.

I was surrounded by a heavenly warmth that made me feel safe. The pillows and blankets were soft and fluffy and they were covered in a wonderful scent. They smelled like whiskey, mint, and eucalyptus. I felt safe and warm and cozy and all I wanted to do was burrow further into the soft bed and cushions and sleep for a million years.

At least, until my very embarrassing scene came crashing back into my memory. Then all I wanted to do was bury myself under the blankets and hide.

"I know you're awake." a deep voice rumbled.

My eyes flew open and I sat bolt-upright in bed. A bed that was not mine. It wasn't even the one that I used when James and I stayed at Rachel's.

I looked around the room, desperately trying to regain my senses and figure out where I was. Had I been kidnapped and I just didn't remember it?
