I witnessed the man I thought to be my mentor die in front of my eyes. But his death was well deserved, he fed the entire pack lies and just because we considered him as our mentor, we believed every word that he had to say.

After Marshall was dead, I walked towards Dad. I tapped his shoulders.

Maya stayed there, maybe she wanted me to decide the optimal punishment for Dad. I nodded at her, assuring her that I would not disappoint her.

"I am sorry, son. I am so sorry," he cried, holding my hands.

"I trusted the wrong person. I believed him, and did whatever he said," he sobbed.

"You knew he was wrong, yet you helped him. That's your mistake, dad," I muttered.

He held my hand tightly and was crying.

"From the beginning, you know you were wrong. I couldn't respect you because of this, Dad," I spoke.

I helped him stand up and looked at him. He was crying, and I did feel sympathy for him, but I had to decide on an optimal punishment for him as the king.
