Chapter Two

Selena's POV

I stood there frozen as I stared at him in shock with my eyes wide open. Never in my wildest dreams had imagined that I could be favored by the goddess to be fated to Gabriel.

"Goodness Selena, you are going to be the Luna!!!" Ember my wolf purred in my mind, dancing with excitement.

I felt overwhelmed as my heart brimmed with hope for a future filled with love and happiness.

"I'm… I'm so honored….." I didn't complete what I was about to say when his next word left me devastated.

"I don't accept this bond."He said.

I felt my heart racing as he said it again.

"You are not fit to be my mate and the Luna of this pack, I Gabriel Blackwood, the Alpha of Silvercrest pack reject you Selena as my mate," he coldly declared.

I felt a pang of pain as his words pierced through my heart like a thousand thorns. I stood there my eyes filled with tears as he declared that I was not worthy of being his mate in the presence of the entire pack members.

I couldn't help but notice them glaring at me with detest and mumbling amongst themselves.

"How can a worthless maid be fated by the goddess?"

"She is too weak to be our Luna."

Their words remind me of how weak I am and my position in the pack.

"I accept your rejection." I weakly said, my voice barely audible.

My heart clenched more when he reached out to Ravenna and declared her as his mate and the Luna of the pack who happily accepted and had a smirk on her face as she looked at me.

With Ravenna as the Luna,she was going to make my life a living hell in the mansion.

Much to the delight of the guests with the Apha's decision, they gave their best wishes and wished them a happy bonding ahead. I couldn't help but notice Asher who had a mixed expression on his face.

Slowly the guest bid their farewell to the new couple and retreated to their various homes and the party came to an end.

I wanted nothing more than to be alone but before that, I needed to ensure everywhere was in order. I made my way to the kitchen to wash the dishes, while the others packed the remnant and cleaned the hall.

Once I was done washing the dishes, I made my way to my room locking the door behind me. I sat on the floor hugging my knees recalling Gabriel's harsh words, I hugged my knees tighter as more tears streamed down my cheeks.

Nothing hurts more than being rejected by your mate.

"It's okay Selena, stop crying" Ember my wolf whispered with pain in her voice.

"This isn't the kind of life I wanted goddess. Why do you have to keep raising my hopes only for it to be shattered?" I sobbed, looking at the moon through the window.

Just then I heard a soft knock on the door, wiping away my tears, I rose to open the door. I saw Clara, one of the maids, standing on the other side, reminding me that it was my duty to arrange the Alpha's room for the week.

My heart skipped a bit at the thought of facing the Alpha after what happened earlier.

"Don't worry, the Alpha is out with his friend, and Ravenna went to her place. She won't be back until tomorrow." She assured me sensing my hesitation.

Letting out a sigh , I stepped out of my room and closed the door behind me making my way through the hallway and up the stairs to the Alpha's room.

I opened the door to the spacious room, his unique scent of mint and a hint of pine and cedarwood filled the air, reaching my nostrils

I began my task, I cleaned the bathroom first, then proceeded to mob the floor, I was about to change the bedsheets when the door suddenly flung open and I turned to see the Alpha standing by the door.

Oh!!no, What I was avoiding has finally happened.

My heart raced as I quickly changed the bedsheet and made my way out. But before I could leave, he grabbed my hand pulling me towards him, I could sense he was under the influence of alcohol.

I struggled to free myself from his grip when he pinned me to the wall with his hands on both sides.

He lifted my chin, I closed my eyes tight, feeling his hand roam across my body sending shivers down my spine. I could feel myself melting to his touch.

No this can’t be happening,he has no idea of what he’s doing

"Ember what's going on? this can't be happening, he rejected us remember?" I telepathically asked my inner wolf feeling confused.

"I don't know Selena, I can't seem to have control over my urges" she responded just as confused as I was.

Suddenly he moved his hands to my thighs caressing them, I could feel the heat spreading through my body.

"Alpha, what are you doing? please let me go." I pleaded trying to break free from his hold.

"Open your eyes ." He commanded in a husky voice that resonated through my ears.

I opened my eyes only to be met with his piercing gaze filled with desire as he brought his hand to my lips.

"Ember you have to do something, it's not right." I urged her.

"I'm sorry Selena, just enjoy the moment," Ember responded, I could sense she was enjoying it.

Just then, he captured my lips with his as he kissed me roughly as his tongue invaded my mouth. He lifted me effortlessly in his arms, my hands wrapped around his neck as he carried me towards the bed gently placing me down.

I couldn't resist it anymore, I kissed him back with equal intensity,I let out a soft moan as he nibbled on my earlobe. He raised my dress, and skillfully undid the clasp of my bra revealing my breasts.

His eyes met mine as he lowered his mouth to capture my nipple gently sucking it. I closed my eyes as I moaned out in pleasure. I was already wet with desire.

As he thrust deep into me, I winced in pain being my first time but soon replaced with pleasure. I could feel the organs building up with each thrust of his.

Unable to contain myself any longer I let out a moan as I reached my peak, feeling exhausted. I snuggled into his arms as we both drifted to sleep …….Unaware of the consequence that awaits me .
