Philip’s POV

Neither of my children took anything seriously.

Cecilia had always been too outspoken to make a good, obedient luna, and Arthur had turned cold, but not in the way I hoped. He listened to no one. Especially not me.

I stood near the ballroom’s edge, watching nobles whisper, watching the girls still throwing glances his way even after being dismissed one by one. He hadn’t danced with a single one. Hadn’t spoken more than a few words to any of them.

It was beginning to look like something was wrong with him.

The Alpha King unmated. Uninterested and refusing every carefully positioned offer laid before him. It wasn’t just frustrating. It was dangerous.

People noticed, and soon they would begin to talk. And if he didn’t start acting like a King… there would be consequences for all of us. I would not let my son be the downfall of our family. Having an outspoken daughter was one thing she could be trained, but an alpha king that didn't act like one that was not something that c

  • Alpha's Regret After I Died    Chapter 146

Liz’s POVThe world was loud.Every sound scraped against my skull, the crackling of broken glass, my own breathing, Arthur’s heartbeat against mine. I could feel everything. The cold stone beneath me. The fabric of his shirt clutched in my fingers. The tightness in my chest as I tried to pull in another breath.I was back.Alive.Arthur was holding me like I was the only thing keeping him upright. My throat burned when I spoke. “Is this real?”He nodded, eyes shining with tears. “You’re here,” he said with so much joy in his voice. “You’re really here.”I leaned into him, letting the warmth of his body ground me. I’d been cold for so long, even warmth felt foreign now.Cecilia knelt beside us, her hand hovering like she wanted to touch me but wasn’t sure if she should.I gave her a soft smile, but it didn’t quite reach my eyes. They all thought it was over, that I was safe now. Alive. And I wanted to believe that, too.But something was wrong.I didn’t feel… right. Not like I had be

Arthur’s POVI was going insane.Every second outside that door felt like a blade pressed against my spine.I paced back and forth in the corridor like a caged animal. Everyone is keeping their distance, just standing there watching me.Cecilia sat against the wall with her knees pulled to her chest, watching me quietly.“She’ll be okay, Arthur,” she said softly.I didn’t answer.Because I didn’t believe it.Not yet. Not until I saw her open her eyes and breathe again. So I kept pacing. My fists were clenched. My jaw tight. Every step I took echoed through the corridor like a ticking clock counting down something I couldn’t see.And then… something changed. The floor trembled beneath me.Just slightly at first. Barely noticeable.Cecilia looked up, panic written all over her face. “Did you feel that?”I froze. Then the ceiling lights flickered. And all at once, every single light in the corridor exploded.Glass rained down around us as the building groaned like something ancient had

Liz’s POVThe room was silent.Melissa’s words still echoed in my head.“They were wrong.”Arthur was still holding my hand. I felt the way his grip on it changed, like he finally saw the way forward.“Then do it,” he said. “Break the curse.”Melissa didn’t answer right away. Her eyes moved back to my body, calculating. Then, slowly, she nodded.“I can’t undo it in here with all of you,” she said. “Valtora isn’t a simple curse, it was never meant to be broken. If I’m going to tear it apart, I need space. Silence. Power untouched by distraction.”Arthur stood taller beside me. “Tell us what you need. We’ll make it happen.”Melissa’s gaze didn’t shift. “Clear this room. Only I stay. No one breathes the same air as this spell unless they want to risk ripping her soul apart with agonising pain that will show no mercy.”Arthur bristled. I could feel it, he didn't trust to leave her alone with me.“No,” he said. “I’m not leaving her.”Melissa turned her head slowly toward him, eyes gleamin

Liz’s POVWe walked in silence down the stone corridor, Arthur’s hand wrapped tightly around mine. When we reached the door, Finn opened it without a word.Melissa stepped in first. And my eyes stayed glued on her, studying her every move. The moment her eyes landed on my body, she stopped. Her expression changed. She said nothing, but I saw the flicker of something curious in her eyes. She walked slowly toward me, never breaking focus.“I want to get closer,” she said.Arthur moved instantly, stepping in front of her.“No.”“I won’t hurt her,” Melissa said calmly, taking her eyes off my body to look at Arthur.“You nearly killed her before,” he snapped, his voice tight.“I was trying to remove what I thought was dark magic,” she said, unfazed. “Now I know better. Let me do what I came here to do.”Arthur’s jaw clenched. He didn’t move.Frank stepped forward. “Arthur, let her. I brought her here because I trusted she could help.”“She almost killed her.”“And now she might be the onl

My hand brushed against the thick fur, still warm with rage, and I felt him shift. Bones snapped, fur rippled, and muscle and skin realigned beneath my touch. And then he was there. He fell into me the moment his body returned to its human form. No pause or breath between. Just raw emotion crashing into me.“I was scared I’d lose you,” he said, voice cracking as he buried his face against my shoulder. His arms were around me tightly.I held him.“What are you doing?” Arthur’s father. His voice was Angry.I looked up at him. His eyes were wild, furious, locked on his son. “We brought you here to kill it,” he snapped, turning towards Melissa. “Now finish it.”Finn walked up and handed Arthur a blanket without a word. Arthur didn’t even look at him, just took it and threw it over his shoulders and stood up, turning towards his father. “She is not evil,” Arthur said. His voice was filled with rage “She is my mate.”“No one else can see this thing you’re talking about,” Philip growled. “Y

  • Alpha's Regret After I Died    Chapter 141

Liz’s POVEverything hurt. But even through the searing fire tearing me apart, I felt him. Arthur. The moment his wolf rose, it wasn’t just something I saw; I felt it through the bond that still held, barely, between us. A tidal wave of rage, of pain, and of pure feral power crashed into me.I watched through the haze of flame as his body shifted. Bones cracked, skin tore, and then the Alpha King was gone. And something ancient stood in his place. His wolf was monstrous. Towering. Fangs bared, claws dug into the marble floor, red eyes locked on the witch like she was already dead. He didn’t see anyone else. Only her.And I knew if he killed her with this much rage in him, he wouldn’t come back whole.A piece of him would be gone. Forever.“Arthur!” I screamed his name, but my voice was broken. My throat is too raw to carry sound. The witch didn’t flinch. She kept chanting. And then she raised her other hand, her fingers curling, readying another blow of magic to stop the wolf chargin
