RAVEN'S POV

I knocked lightly on the door to Logan’s study, an excited smile already playing across my lips “Milord,” I cooed cheerfully as the door swung open and he stood staring down at me with a smile in his eyes.

“Milady,” he tipped his head in a slight bow.

I rolled my lips, “may I brighten your day today?”

One of his brows inched up even as he reached out and drew me in. Then he closed the door.

“Raven,” he began in a serious tone, “there is not one single lifetime where I'd say no to that question.”

A laugh bubbled out of me as I dragged him towards his desk, shoved him down on his seat and plopped down in his lap.

Sunlight streamed in through the tall windows, casting a golden ray across half of his face.

I traced the shape of it with my fingers, and Logan sighed as he wrapped his arms around my waist and drew me even closer.

Our eyes met and I melted into his warm, soft orbs.

“You look far too cheerful,” he murmured, “I like that very much.”
