Helena’s P.O.V.

“Please write Helena and Zayden on the cake, Mr. Max.”

The bakery owner was arguing for the past five minutes to write Alpha and Luna on the cake instead. I wasn’t a Luna yet; the love of my Pack mates really warmed my heart.

“It’s your second wedding anniversary, Luna Helena. Alpha will arrange a Luna Ceremony soon.”

Old Max blessed me with countless best wishes and eventually agreed to accept my request. It was an intimate moment for me and my perfect husband, Alpha Zayden, how could I add worldly positions to ruin this.

I was planning to buy a nice present after ordering the cake, but Beta Alex informed me.

“Luna Helena, Alpha is calling you to the office.”

“Such an impatient man!”

Zayden’s husky whispers from breakfast echoed in my mind, his lovely gestures made me forget to tell him about my failing health.

“I will ask Liam for an appointment with the Head doctor.”

My twin brother Liam was studying medicine in a college, his skill in medicinal techniques was our wolf-less brother-sister’s pride. I rode Beta Alex’s Mercedes to the Pack house and walked towards Alpha’s office on the third floor.

On my way, I replied to everyone’s greetings with a gentle smile, their glimmering faces depicted their love for Alpha. As I entered the main corridor, flirtatious laughter slithered in my ears.

“You are the same Zayn I met three years ago. You haven’t changed a bit.”

This symphony was a bombshell of realization, my mind went blank for a moment. I barged into Alpha’s office without permission, a deadly beauty sitting by my husband’s side confirmed my deepest dreads.

“Sylvia?”

How could I forget this woman? My husband’s ex-fiancé, Sylvia, was an heir of a famous Alpha bloodline, her confidence was challenging me with their exemplary love before my marriage.

“You should knock on the door first!”

Zayden’s Alpha tone boomed in the office; his serious voice was as magnetic as his Samson-like personality. His raven locks were a deadly addition to his fair skin, the devil-may-care look was his significant feature.

But his cold tone made me feel strange, he never asked me to knock before.

“My apologies, Zayden. Beta Alex conveyed to me your message, what can I do for you?”

“You have to arrange a room for Sylvia’s stay here.”

As his wife, it was my duty to welcome his guests; otherwise, my sixth sense was hinting me to kick her ass out.

“I will ask the servants to prepare a guest room in the Pack house for our honorable guest. Sylvia, please feel…”

Zayden raised his brow and cut me off.

“I wasn’t done with my command, Helena!”

I gulped a lump in my throat with great difficulty, as Zayden rose from his spot, his 1.94 m frame was appearing mightier than usual. He stretched his palm before Sylvia, which she gladly held, and spoke in an unsmiling voice.

“I said that you will clean Savvy’s room, as she is the true Luna of the Moon Howlers Pack. No one knows it better than you. Isn’t it?”

Zayden’s icy, echoing voice slithered into my ears, he excluded an air of detachment. My heart sank, as these words hit my mind like a sledgehammer. I almost cried out.

“I am your wife, Zayden. Why are you talking to me like this?”

“Wife?”

The corner of his lips curled up in a mean smirk and suddenly, his emerald green eyes were ablaze with rage.

“Sylvia is standing right before your eyes and still, you have the guts to call yourself Luna?

You were right, Savvy. Strong evidence is required to confront a shameless person like her.”

My mind was wheezing under the storm of shocking events, first Sylvia, and now evidence of my non-existent crime. No problem, I didn’t commit any crime in my life.

Zayden took out an envelope from his black coat pocket and threw it over my face.

“This evidence has shown me your true colors, Helena. You hid your scheming nature so well that I never suspected your acting! What a fool I was!”

I opened the letter with trembling hands, my vision was getting blurry because of tears pooling in my eyes.

“Alpha Zayden,

Please allow me to apologize to you for the offense I have committed.

Two years ago, a mother-daughter couple approached me to hit a black car and offered twenty thousand dollars for it. I accepted this offer to save my mate’s life, her critical situation forced me to assist them.

But when I came to know that this evil plan was made by your wife Helena and her mother, I realized the gravity of my sin. In addition to attacking the Alpha couple, I was tricked into breaking your marriage to Miss Sylvia, it crushed my heart with regret.

This is the money and gemstone necklace they gave me after work.

I hope you can forgive me for my crime.

Sam.”

“This is fake!”

My head blew away with the absurdity of this letter, I stepped forward and placed my hand on his cheek.

“Please trust me, Zayden. I don’t know any person with this name. I…”

Zayden jerked my hand away and thundered in fury.

“How dare you question an Alpha’s conduct? You think I am a stupid who is unaware of the word investigation!”

Then, he flashed a small plastic bag containing a delicate gemstone necklace.

“Everything can be fake, but not this necklace. Isn’t it the same rare moonstone necklace which your father gifted to your mother?”

The intensity of this shock rendered me speechless; I kept looking at him wide-eyed. The contempt, accusation, and now this fake evidence was not enough for him, Zayden held my chin tightly and spat out.

“You and your mother deliberately planned to replace Sylvia from Luna’s position. You even used your mother’s death to achieve all this for you. You disgust me, Helena!”

My hand flew to my mouth to muffle an involuntary shriek.

“What?”

I stepped back, as his hurtful words pierced through my heart. How could he slander my dead mother like this?

“My mother sacrificed her life to save mom and dad, it wasn’t a conspiracy.”

I tried to sound defensive, but my shaky voice deserted me, revealing my emotional injury to amuse Sylvia. She placed her head on Zayden’s wide chest and mocked me with a suggestive wiggle of her brows.

I felt my throat tighten up, as all my efforts could barely hold back the tears that threatened to spill. Zayden might have spotted tears in my eyes, as a look of great bitterness swept across his face.

“Stop pretending!

You knew that I was already engaged with Savvy, but still, you squeeze yourself into my life. Do you know how unfair is this to me?”

He wrapped his arm around Sylvia’s slender waist, hatred, and distrust were clearly written on his face. His accusing glare was shooting flaring daggers at me, slashing my soul into pieces.

Tears ran down my eyes, as I closed them, my lips wobbled when an incoherent begging escaped my mouth.

“I didn’t. Please…”

Zayden disregarded my “Please”, like I was a convicted criminal, his Alpha tone reverberated in the office.

“Arrest this vile woman!”

“No!”

My frail knees refused to bear my weight anymore, I landed on the ground with a loud thud.

“You can’t do this to me, Zayden. I am your wife. We love each other!”

I begged meekly and tried to grab his leg, but he stepped back and pushed me aside. As Beta Alex was hesitant to arrest me, Zayden roared in anger.

“Lock this woman in the death cell. I don’t want to see her again.”

  • Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna    Epilogue part two

Helena’s P.O.V. Everyone was happy due to the upcoming ceremony in the Palace, but I started feeling weird all of a sudden. My hunger vanished, my back ached without much strenuous activity, I was constantly worried about my Kingdom’s betterment day and night. Although Uncle Desmond had tackled all the official matters in Royal’s absence, the reports of war’s destruction had left me restless. Zayden noticed my lack of interest in our daily crazy sex routine and questioned me, “Are you back to your boring self, Luna? Come on, it’s our first year of mating.” I took a deep breath and told him about my reservations. “How can you act so cool after seeing many wars, Zayn? What about the families of dead warriors? Did they forgive you for sending dead bodies to their houses?” My mate’s handsome countenance lost its color as the shadows of the past clouded his eyes; his voice sounded deeper than usual. “People tend to say plenty of hurtful words when they are hurt. I have h

Helena’s P.O.V.“Accept your defeat, Helena. You are losing it.”Queen Isabella’s triumphant smile didn’t waver my determination as she placed both her hands on the scythe, putting her life at stake. That was the moment I was waiting from the start, the strong aura swirling inside me overpowered the discomfort I was feeling due to this face off. When Zayden agreed to this ritual, our mate-bond shined in its eternal glory like a true blessing of Heaven. But slowly, it started shredding our souls, literally pulling our flesh from the bones. The pain was beyond any human’s endurance level, and despite being supernatural creatures, we were crushed by the anguish. However, this agony paid off well when I saw a crack traveling through the scythe, showing me hope at the end of the darkness.Suddenly, I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder, and before I could turn to see, Isabella’s monstrous laughter echoed in the hall.“Your mate is gone, Helena. It’s your turn now!”My stomach contracte

  • Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna    I love you!

Zayden’s P.O.V. What the hell! “Will someone tell me where my Luna is?” I yelled at the top of my lungs to garner their attention. It was simply out of my mind that why was everyone suddenly so concerned about that useless Queen? My query got its desired result as Ciara shook her head and replied to me. “The fire in front of you has fragments of Helena’s whisperer aura in it. As Edith said, it’s his mother’s deed to create this chaos. If I’m not wrong then, we’re standing right in the middle of that curse casting process.” Another curse? Then it dawned on me that they were right, Helena must be with Isabella to stop her from this ominous task. It was her duty to fight evil as a nature servant. Susan and Ciara took a shortcut and placed that hair strand on the ground, pouring their blood over it. “Reveal your location, Isabella!” Their combined spells created a command which couldn’t be ignored. A trail of blood flowed towards that pit of fire, ultimately falling in it.

Zayden’s P.O.V. “You can’t mark a wench like Helena, Alpha. I will not allow it!” Roaring in her stupid Alpha glory, Sylvia was presenting herself as the same egoistic maniac as she was in the past. It was surprising that the reality of my mate-bond with Helena couldn’t make its way in her thick head. She ordered her army, “Attack the Royal Palace. I want that bitch dead!” Her sired vampires, who had just regained their senses after being drenched in the rain, refused to fulfill her demand. The chorus of their horrified gasps echoed in the battleground as they saw mighty shifters in front of them. Some of them were even clueless about how they got here. Before I could tell Sylvia that I didn’t need her permission for anything, chaos erupted on the battlefield. All the vampires threw their weapons and ran for their lives, screaming fearfully. In my decade old career in fighting, I hadn’t ever witnessed such an amusing sight, the panic of my enemy was a treat to watch. Terrifi

  • Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna    Vampire's trickery

Helena’s P.O.V. “No! My little angels!” My breath ragged in my throat as it closed, cutting off the air supply. I was rendered helpless by this occurrence. Ignoring Queen Isabella’s ominous figure, I looked around for my pups. The mere thought of hurting them with my own aura had stopped my heart. That divine energy was healing in nature, a special gift of the Moon Goddess. Then how could it destroy my kids’ bodies along with the cage? My legs seemed to lose all of their bones as my knees buckled, I collapsed on the ground helplessly. “Why, the Moon Goddess? Why it is always me?” Tears pooled in my eyes as my misty vision couldn’t aid me to see my stepmother’s victorious grin, I wished for a miracle to revive my kids. The ground below my feet lit up with the dark aura. The satanic symbol of two upside-down triangles enclosed in a circle with a goat face in it appeared to initiate the curse. But it was the least of my concerns! My kids were the last descendants of the El

  • Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna    The attack

Helena’s P.O.V. “Sylvia has attacked?” My world seemed to exist right after this news, it was simply out of my teeny tiny mind that how did a terminally ill patient recover so fast? As for the record, Sylvia had lost the proper functioning of her brain after childbirth, doctors diagnosed it as trauma and PTSD. But when I examined her, she was broken beyond repair, her obsession for Zayden had seriously injured her soul. Then how the hell did that happen? It was such a relief that Sylvia was out of the picture. I was so grateful to the Moon Goddess that SHE had removed Sylvia’s threat with her grace. But no! It turned out to be a small pause before a raging storm, we were doomed to deal with that maniac again. My brother Edith vanished in thin air in a heartbeat, leaving me alone with Beta Ralph. I shook my head at everyone’s questionable behavior and asked him. “What’s the situation on the border, Beta Ralph?” I thought it would be nothing compared to the bloodied wars th

  • Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna    A plan?

Helena’s P.O.V.“Edith!!!”My younger brother hanging upside down wasn’t the sight I was expecting on my first day of mating, his half-dead condition sent chills down my spine. His dark skin was a sign that someone had tried to kill him, I forgot everything and cut the rope magically to examine him closely. However, my friends lying on the floor instantly caught my attention when I spotted trainer Jessica in them, her presence there slipped the ground below me. It was past lunchtime, which meant my little angels must be learning to play piano. But if she was here, who the hell would be with my pups?My query ran a jolt of electricity through guards’ bodies as they disappeared in thin air. I didn’t wait for their report and scanned the Royal Palace immediately.Zayden laid Edith on the floor and tugged my arm,“Our pups are safe, Luna?”The query behind his simple sentence was demanding an assurance, our bond flooded with the worry of our pups. It was so difficult for me to supp

  • Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna    The day after!

Zayden’s P.O.V.Waking up by your mate’s side was a rarity that I had never imagined in my wildest dreams; however, this wish finally turned into a reality today. With Helena tugged to my chest, I felt like the luckiest person alive on the Earth. No doubt, this mate-bond had a magical effect on people, no one could deny the attraction of souls. But the bond I shared with Helena was way deeper than that. We were mates, lovers, and parents. Moreover, I was her consort as the Crown Princess. These different dimensions of our relationship had strengthened our mutual affection, binding our souls as one. My mark healing on Helena’s neck puffed my chest with pride, reminding me of her delicate mating mark on my heart as well.Blitzer yawned and licked Nova’s head, purring happily.“We are mated now, Zayden. From now on, no one can tear us apart.”The assurance of his loving tone filled my heart with happiness, I was literally on cloud nine while remembering Helena’s unique way of marki

Helena’s P.O.V. “There’s nothing compared to your loved one’s embrace. The intimacy, safety, and unconditional love make you feel at home, trusting yourself in their hands without any reservations...” Although Zayden had no issue with being outside, I insisted on going to the mansion. I had no intention of waking up with back pain tomorrow, given that my body had repeatedly betrayed me in the past. He picked me up and teased me on the way, enjoying my blushing. “Your face is beet-red, Luna. Goddess, you are still feeling shy.” Well, that ‘still’ was an overestimation because it was indeed awkward for me to be naked in front of a man after five years. Our mate-bond had given me the strength to break my mental barrier and cherish my mate as a whole. This small break was essential for me as my mind had lost its functioning after the haze of the first orgasm, making me yearn for more. I simply wanted him inside me, riding over ecstasy over and over again. But it would be self
