Samantha's POV

Adams had invited me over for dinner with Adrian before Alaric and I left for Nightveil tomorrow. I was also to leave Adrian with him during my time away, so it worked well sleeping over at his place that night.

Adams had prepared dinner, and I enjoyed helping while Adrian hovered for bites of every meal we prepared. Adams was like a grandpa, and I loved their relationship, despite the time and place limit all through the years.

We were done making the meal and had started setting the foods at the table when a knock came at the door. I looked at Adams, surprised that someone was knocking.

"Go check who it is," Adams said before I could ask if he was expecting someone. I decided to go to the door, but that scent hit me strongly and I froze as I held the doorknob.

Alpha Ric? What was he doing here?

I turned back to look at Adams, questioning him with my gaze.

"It's Alpha Ric," I said, already expecting him to know, but he wore a surprised expression.

yes totally agree ... ric needs to be taught a lesson . why are women alway written this way . he broke the bond slept with another woman for 7 years and she is becoming weak and giving ??? she should at least have a boyfriend ..sleep with another man than behave this way with Alaric

Be strong Samantha. Ric chose and HAPPILY slept with another woman for years. You weren’t end game in his mind. It should not be easy to win you over and he needs to grovel and beg even if he has some pitiful excuse.
