MasukEdwina and Jackson brought him to the pack. Red Crescent pack. Marcus was breathing evenly but it was only his wolf. They were not feeling the presence of his human. Jackson hurriedly took Reuben to the hospital. Alpha Damien called the pack doctor. Edwina laid Marcus on the bed.
"Dad, please don't tell anyone about Marcus." She requested. Alpha Damien nodded his head. "Edwina, you have to be strong for him." He put a hand on her shoulder. Edwina nodded with tears in her eyes. She sat beside Marcus grabbing his hand. Marcus's wound was healed. There was not a slight mark on his chest. But he was not opening his eyes. He was not coming back to consciousness. "Edwina, I will go check up on Jackson. We have to prepare for Jason's funeral. We have to bury him with all the respect. He was a great warrior." Alpha Damien said. "Okay, Dad. Go, I will be here with Marcus. I will wait for the Doctor." Edwina's eyes were fixed on his face. There was a knock on the door Alpha Damien opened it. Doctor Wilson came inside the room. He shook hands with him. "Alpha." The doctor bowed his head. "Wilson. He is poisoned. As far as I feel, the wolf is alive. But I cannot feel his humanity." Alpha Damien informed. "Alpha, I will check him. I will see what I can do." He said. "Doctor Will. Will he be fine? He will open his eyes?" Edwina asked with a heavy voice. "I will try my best. Edwina. Let me check him." The doctor said. Edwina got up from the chair. Doctor Wilson started his check-up. Reuben was already admitted to the hospital. Jackson went with him. The doctor told Jackson that Reuben will be healed soon. They are giving him painkillers. He was injured, but there was no trace of silver or wolfsbane in his body. He was just traumatized. Jackson was sitting in the hospital wing. Jackson's eyes were red. He was wiping his tears continuously... But his eyes were filling up with salty waters again. He remembered his pack. They will be burning everything now. The pain. It was unexplainable in words. Jackson Wolf was whimpering losing everything, which was not easy. He did everything for the ceremony. When he left, the whole pack was so happy. He remembered the laughter of kids. The women who were making food. The delicious aromas of flowers and the giggling of women. The boys were teasing Marcus for his first night with his mate. Jason and Reuben laughed wholeheartedly. Jason. He is dead. A cold shiver ran down his spine. He is gone. Their promise that they will fight side by side. There were enormous memories that he can not forget. Jackson's head was aching so badly. Jason, he remembered his smile. The time when he thought to share his feelings with Jason. "Hey, Jack. Why are you staring me like that?" Jason laughed. Jackson shook his head smiling. "Nothing..." He replied. "Jacky, what are you looking at?" Jason again caught him staring. "Jas, there is something on your face." Jack laughed. "Hey, Jack. Come on. I am going for a run." He shifted in his wolf. Jackson always admired him. He understood his feelings for Jason. But he never said anything. Jason always scolded him for his mistakes. Jackson never imagined that he would never be able to share his heart with him. He will lose him. Jason is dead. This sentence resonated in his ears. He clutched his hair tightly snatching it. He will go insane. Jackson got up from the chair. He punched the wall so hard that his knuckles broke. But he didn't feel any pain. The suffering he was going through right now was more than any pain. Suddenly someone put a hand on his shoulders. Jackson turned around. Alpha Damien was standing beside him. "Jackson, we are ready for the funeral. Come on." Alpha Damien said. Jackson felt his heart dropped in his chest. He never thought he would bury Jason with his own hands. He thought to caress those beautiful cheeks. He thought of playing with his rough hair. He thought to kiss his forehead. Jackson looks towards Alpha Damien. He was lost. There was no light in his eyes. He has lost himself. The Jackson who was always smiling, was carefree. He was irresponsible. He had a little brother like Marcus who was by his side who would do anything for Jackson's happiness. He had a best friend like Jason whose smile meant everything to Jack. He realized his feelings for Jason recently when he saw him getting close to Reuben. He was jealous. He found out that he was in love with him. But it was too late. "Jackson. Son, come on. They are waiting for us." Alpha Damien put a hand on his shoulder. Jack nodded his head. He started following the Alpha with dead steps. He was just staring blankly at his surroundings. Jackson moved out of the hospital. He saw upwards, the clear blue sky, the greenery of trees, the scent of flowers the singing of birds, and the shores of water. He was not feeling the touch of nature, he was not hearing or smelling anything. Everything was just blank. He stopped. Alpha Damien stopped in the grounds. There were a few old graves and a freshly dug one. It was his body in the coffin. Jackson went towards the wooden box placed on the ground. "I want to see him. One last time." He said with a drowning voice. A warrior came near the box and then opened it. Jackson sat on the ground as he was defeated in the race of his life. He saw Jason's eyes closed. It felt like he was sleeping. He moved his hand to touch Jason's face. Jackson's hands were shaking. He touched his face, it was so cold. "Why is he so cold?" He asked the warrior. Werewolves' bodies never get cold. If they die their bodies remain warm. "He was shot by six silver bullets." The warrior said. Jackson hissed in pain. As someone just shot him. He wanted to cry. He wanted to shout and let all the pain out. But at this time his eyes were withered. No tear rolled down his cheek. His eyes were ruddy as he kept a volcano inside his body. As the fire in his heart will burn everything around him. "Jas, I promise. I will find those bastards and I will kill all of them. One by One. I gave you my word. You have fought bravely. You are a great warrior. You have given your life trying to save your pack. I am so proud of you and I love you." He said. There was a power in his voice. A tone that made Alpha Damien look towards him in wonder. He knew how strong they were, Black Thunder Pack was the strongest pack on this whole continent because of his Alpha, Beta, and Delta. They were the three most powerful wolves that existed. But it was so sad looking at all three of the warriors in this condition. It broke so many hearts. The warriors of this pack were also feeling Jackson's pain. Jackson then stood up from the ground. He closed the coffin. The warriors put it down in the grave. Jackson was the first one to put dirt on it. After that, every one of the warriors played their part and gave respect to such a great warrior like Jason. He sacrificed his life for his pack. "Jackson, go. Edwina needs you. She is with Marcus." Alpha Damien said. He came back to the pack house. He needed to check up on Marcus. Jackson saw Edwina standing outside the room. He came near her then stopped. "Edwina!" He called. She turned around and then looked at his blank face. "The doctor is checking him. He is still trying to understand. Why is he not coming back to his senses? He is properly healed." Edwina said. Jackson nodded his head. "Jason?" She asked. Jackson grabbed her hand pressing it tightly. Edwina put her head on his shoulder. Her tears were dampening his shoulder. "Jacky, why did this happen? Who did this?" She cried. "Rose, I don't know. But I promise. I will find out. I will rip all those bastards to shreds. I will destroy them, I promise." He said. "Jack, I am with you. I promise. I will not cry. I will not shed a tear." Edwina wiped the tears from her face roughly. Now, the question was... Who can do this to them? Who can be so cruel as not to leave women and pups? They were monsters. But they have to find out. The door opened and the doctor came out of the room. There was a look of worry on his face. "Doctor?" Edwina said. "Edwina, I am worried. Alpha Marcus had a mental breakdown. The wolf controlled his body. But there was a sudden shock that his human self was unable to control. So, he lost his brain. I don't know the reason for his mental breakdown. But it is the cause of his unconsciousness." The doctor said. "Is there any chance that he will come back?" Jackson asked. "We have slight chances. But I cannot say the exact time. If his wolf can heal his wound. It can heal his brain. But I noticed something, he doesn't want his wolf to reach his brain. Marcus is blocking his wolf." The doctor informed both of them. There was a shock on their faces. The night had grown deeper, but Marcus still hadn’t left his office. The candles had nearly burned down, their weak flames casting shadows across the room; yet he remained standing near the window, staring out into the darkness.A knock came at the door. Marcus didn’t turn. “Come in.”The door opened slowly and Edwina stepped inside. The moment Marcus saw her from the corner of his eye, some of the tension inside him eased slightly. She was wearing a light night robe, her hair loose around her shoulders, but her expression carried worry.“You’re still awake,” she said softly. Marcus looked away from the window and exhaled slowly. “I had things to think about.”Edwina stepped further into the room before closing the door behind her. She studied him quietly for a moment.“You’ve been distant ever since you came back from the hospital.” Marcus’s expression hardened slightly. “I’m handling a situation.”“That situation has a name,” Edwina replied quietly. Marcus looked at her then, she ca
Marcus got all the reports from Reuben and Jackson. He sent them away without another word, the door closing behind them with a dull sound that echoed louder than it should have. The room fell silent, heavy and suffocating. He stood there for a moment… unmoving. Then slowly, he walked toward his chair and sat down, leaning back as his hand came up to press against his forehead. His eyes closed, but it didn’t bring him peace. It made everything worse. I thought she was faking it… His jaw tightened. But no… her memory is really gone. A bitter breath escaped him, almost like a scoff, but there was no humor in it.“Why…” he muttered under his breath, his voice low and rough, “why does it hurt me to think that she doesn’t remember?”His fingers curled against the armrest, gripping it tightly. It didn’t make sense. He should have felt relief. He should have felt satisfaction knowing that she had lost everything—her past, her identity, the truth of what she had done. But instead… There was
Isabey sat quietly in the Omega quarters, her back resting lightly against the wooden wall, her eyes moving slowly across the room. The place was simple, far from the comfort of an Alpha house, but she didn’t feel uneasy. Her wounds were all healed thanks to the pack doctor and the nurses who took care of her, the pack's Alpha said someone would come to visit her, she doesn't know who... She was deeply immersed in her thoughts, after she came here she felt the most secure, the little graphs of her memory that came back, she told them to the Alpha. He reassured her that he would help her get her memory back and now there was no fear in her chest and no discomfort in her thoughts.Instead… there was something strange, she looked around again, her fingers brushing against the edge of the small table beside her bed. The faint scent of the pack lingered in the air, and for some reason… it didn’t feel unfamiliar. It felt known not fully because of her memory but somewhere deep inside her,
Marcus’s words didn’t fade after he spoke them. They stayed there, heavy in the air, pressing down on everyone in the room.“I’ve been patient… but I don’t intend to be anymore.”Jackson felt it first, the shift, that sharp edge in Marcus’s tone that meant this wasn’t just curiosity anymore. This was suspicion, this was authority and this was an Alpha who already knew enough to be dangerous.Reuben didn’t move, but something inside him tightened instantly. His wolf stirred, alert and uneasy not because of fear but because something had finally caught up to them.Edwina stood still, her fingers curling slowly into her palms. Her breathing remained steady on the outside, but inside everything had begun to shake.Marcus’s gaze moved between them again, slow and deliberate, like he was measuring each reaction, each silence.“Let’s not waste time, I trust all three of you enough and I want to hear the truth from you.” He said. His voice was calm.“Isabey remembers fragments of that night.”
Marcus stepped out of the hospital, but this time, his steps didn’t carry the same certainty they usually did. The night air felt colder than before or maybe… it was just him. His mind refused to settle. His Alpha instincts were saying that he was missing something and tonight he will find out. Every word Isabey had spoken echoed back, again and again, refusing to quiet down.Reuben and Jackson were both present when she lost her memories that night, but it doesn't make sense to him. Till now nothing made sense to him. Marcus came back to the pack house he was going towards his room, but he stopped midway through the corridor, he didn't go into his room instead, he came into his office, his hand moving to his pocket as he pulled out his phone. For a moment, he just stared at it, his thoughts calculating, then he made the call. It didn’t take long for the line to connect.“Alpha Marcus,” A calm and steady voice came from the other side.Marcus didn’t waste time. “Alpha Damien, I ne
Marcus pushed the hospital room door open with controlled force, but the moment he stepped inside, something shifted. The room was quiet but not empty. Isabey sat upright against the pillows, no longer weak in the way she had been before, her wounds and bandages had been removed. She looked towards Marcus. This is the second time he has come into this room. Marcus noticed there was steadiness in her posture now, but it wasn’t peace. It was something sharper, something that didn’t belong to someone lost.Marcus took slow steps towards her bed, his gaze locking onto her face as his instincts sharpened. He stopped far away from the bed. "You called for me.” His voice was calm and controlled but there was a quiet edge beneath it now."Are you the Pack Alpha?" She asked him, Marcus's hands curled into fists. "Yes, I am the Alpha, anything that you need to tell me better be important.” Isabey felt the roughness in his tone, she didn’t answer immediately. She held his gaze for a moment lo
Isabey opened her eyes. "Shit!" She muttered. Isabey saw a blurry scene before her eyes. But due to a dizzy head, she was unable to understand the situation. "Ugh, who?" She groaned but she didn't get a reply. Isabey then realized a wolf was dragging her inside the pack's borders. What the hell i
Alpha Damien, Jackson, Edwina, and Reuben were sitting in the pack office. Reuben can see that Jackson was gritting his teeth. He hates him so much. He felt a fiery stare at him, but he didn't dare look into Jackson's eyes."Reuben, you have to tell us, all about this pack," Edwina said."Ahm..."
(Red Crescent Pack) Jackson wanted to put Reuben in dungeons and torture him to death. However, Alpha Damien didn't allow it. It is his pack. So, Jackson stopped.Edwina told her father that Reuben is Jackson's mate. She didn't want Jack to do anything that he would regret later. She knew that th
Edwina was shocked. "But why? Doctor. Why is he blocking his wolf?" She asked. Jackson also gave a questionable look to the Doctor. "Edwina, it can be due to a severe shock. Maybe, he had seen something horrible in the pack. Marcus is an Alpha. He can feel the pain of all the pack members. It can
