Chapter 6

Edwina and Jackson brought him to the pack. Red Crescent pack. Marcus was breathing evenly but it was only his wolf. They were not feeling the presence of his human self... Jackson hurriedly took Reuben to the hospital. Alpha Damien called the pack doctor. Edwina laid him on the bed.

"Dad, please don't tell anyone about Marcus." She requested. Alpha Damien nodded his head.

"Edwina, you have to be strong for him." He put a hand on her shoulder. Edwina nodded with tears in her eyes. She sat beside Marcus grabbing his hand. Marcus's wound was healed. There was not a slight mark on his chest. But he was not opening his eyes. He was not coming back...

"Edwina, I will go check up on Jackson. We have to prepare for Jason's funeral. We have to bury him with all the respect. He was a warrior." Alpha Damien said.

"Okay, Dad. Go, I will be here with Marcus. I am waiting for the Doctor." Edwina's eyes were fixed on his face. She said. The door opened. Alpha Damien saw Doctor Wilson coming inside. He shook hands with him.

"Alpha." The doctor bowed his head.

"Wilson. He is poisoned. As far as I feel, the wolf is alive. But I cannot feel his humanity." Alpha Damien informed.

"Alpha, I will check him. I will see what I can do." He said.

"Doctor Will. Will he be fine? He will open his eyes?" Edwina asked with a heavy voice.

"I will try my best. Edwina. Let me check him." The doctor said. Edwina gets up from the chair. Doctor Wilson starts checking Marcus.

Reuben was already admitted to the hospital. Jackson went with him. The doctor told Jackson that Reuben will be healed soon... They are giving him painkillers. He was injured, but there was no trace of silver or wolfsbane in his body. He was just traumatized. Jackson was sitting in the hospital wing.

Jackson's eyes were red. He was wiping his tears continuously... But his eyes were filling up with salty waters again. He remembered his pack. They will be burning everything now...The pain. It was unexplainable in words. Jackson Wolf was whimpering losing everything, which was not easy. He did everything for the ceremony. When he left. The whole pack was so happy. He remembered the laughter of kids. The women who were making food. The delicious aromas of food and the giggling of women

The boys were teasing Marcus for his first night with his mate. Jason and Reuben laughed wholeheartedly. Jason. He is dead. A cold shiver ran down his spine. He is gone! Their promise that they will fight side by side. There were enormous memories that he can not forget. Jackson's head was aching so badly. Jason! He remembered his smile. The time when he thought to share his feelings with Jason.

"Hey, Jack. Why are you starting?" Jason laughed.

Jackson shook his head smiling.

"Nothing..." He replied.

"Jacky, what are you looking at?" Jason again caught him staring.

"Jas, there is something on your face." Jack laughed. "Hey, Jack. Come on. I am going on a run." He shifted in his wolf. Jackson always admired him. He understood his feelings for Jason. But he never said anything. Jason always scolded him for his mistakes. Jackson never thought he would be able to share his heart with him. He will lose him. Jason is dead. The sent ace was resonating in his ears... He clutched his hair tightly snatching it. He will go insane. Jackson gets up from the chair. He punched the wall so hard that his knuckles were broken. But he didn't feel the pain.

The suffering he was going through right now was more than any pain. Suddenly someone put a hand on his shoulders. Jackson turned around.

Alpha Damien was standing beside him.

"Jackson, we are ready for the funeral. Come on." Alpha Damien said. Jackson felt his heart drop in his chest. He never thought he would bury Jason with his own hands. He thought to caress those beautiful cheeks. He thought of playing with his rough hair. He thought to kiss his forehead.

Jackson looks towards Alpha Damien. He was lost. There was no light in his eyes. He has lost himself... The Jackson who was always smiling, was carefree. He was irresponsible. He had a little brother like Marcus who was by his side who would do anything for Jackson's happiness. He had a best friend like Jason whose smile meant everything to Jack. He realised his feelings for Jason recently when he saw him getting close to Reuben. He was jealous. He found out that he is in love with him... But it was too late.

"Jackson. Son, come on. They are waiting for us." Alpha Damien put a hand on his shoulder. Jack nodded his head. He starts following the Alpha with dead steps. He was just staring blankly at his surroundings. Jackson moves out of the hospital. He saw upwards, the clear blue sky, the greenery of trees, the scent of flowers the singing of birds, and the shores of water. He was not feeling the touch of nature, he was not hearing or smelling anything... It was all just blank. He stopped. Alpha Damien stopped in the grounds. There were a few old graves and a freshly dug one... It was his body in the coffin. Jackson went towards the wooden box placed on the ground.

"I want to see him. One last time." He said with a drowning voice. A warrior came near the box and then opened it. Jackson sat on the ground as he was defeated in the race of his life. He saw Jason's eyes closed. It felt like he was sleeping. He moved his hand to touch Jason's face. Jackson's hands were shaking. He touched his face, it was so cold.

"Why is he so cold?" He asked the warrior. Werewolves' bodies never get cold. If they die their bodies remain warm.

"He was shot by six silver bullets." The warrior said. Jackson hissed in pain. As someone just shit him. He wanted to cry. He wanted to shout and let all the pain out. But at this time his eyes were withered. No tear rolled down his cheek. His eyes were ruddy as he kept a volcano inside his body. As the fire in his heart burns everything around him.

"Jas, I promise. I will find those bastards and I will kill all of them... One by One. I gave you my word. You have fought bravely. You are a great warrior. You have given your life trying to have your pack. I am so proud of you and I love you." He said. There was a power in his voice. A tone that made Alpha Damien look towards him in wonder. He knows how strong they are... Black Thunder Pack was the strongest pack on this whole continent.

Because of his Alpha, Beta, and Delta. They were the three most powerful wolves that existed. But it was so sad looking at all three of the warriors in this condition. It breaks so many hearts. The warrior of this pack was also feeling Jackson's pain. Jackson then stands up from the ground. He closed the coffin. The warriors let it down in the grave. Jackson was the first one to put dirt on it... After that, every one of the warriors played their part and gave respect to such a great warrior like Jason. He sacrificed his life for his pack.

"Jackson, go. Edwina needs you. She is with Marcus." Alpha Damien said. He came back to the packhouse. He needs to check up on Marcus. Jackson saw Edwian standing outside her room. He came near her then stopped.

"Edwina!" He called. She turns around then look at his blank face.

"The doctor is checking him. He is still trying to understand. Why is he not coming back to his senses? He is properly healed." Edwina said. Jackson nodded his head.

"Jason?" She asked. Jackson grabbed her hand pressing it tightly. Edwina put her head on his shoulder. Her tears were dampening his shoulder.

"Jacky, why did this happen? Who did this?" She cried.

"Rose, I don't know. But I promise. I will find out. I will rip all those bastards to shreds. I will destroy them, I promise." He said.

"Jack, I am with you. I promise. I will not cry. I will not shed a tear." Edwian wiped the tears from her face roughly. Now, the question was... Who can do this to them? Who can be so cruel as not to leave women and pups? They were monsters. But they have to find out.

The door opened. The doctor came out of the room. There was a look of worry on his face.

"Doctor?" Edwina said.

"Edwina, I am worried. Alpha Marcus had a mental breakdown. The wolf controlled his body. But there was a sudden shock that his human self was unable to control. So, he lost his brain. I don't know the reason for his mental breakdown. But it is the cause of his unconsciousness." The doctor said.

"Is there any chance that he will come back?" Jackson asked.

"We have slight chances. But I can not say the exact time. If his wolf can heal his wound. It can heal his brain. But I noticed a thing... He doesn't want his wolf to reach his brain. Marcus is blocking his wolf." The doctor informs both of them... There was a shock on their faces.
