LOGIN"Marcus!" Jackson sat on the ground. He felt Marcus' body was getting cold. Jackson's eyes were fixed on the silver arrow stuck in his chest. The blood had dried and his wound was black, which means he was poisoned.
Edwina was crying and shaking badly. Jackson had never seen her crying like that, she was in so much pain. "Jack, it hurt so much! It hurts here." She put her hand on her chest. The tears were rolling down her cheeks. "Who did this with my pack? My Alpha, my brother. He is on the verge of death. Everyone is dead. Jason, I saw his dead body. My best friend is dead." Jackson was groaning in pain. "Edwina, he is taking his last breaths. We are going to lose him." Jackson said. Edwina looked towards his face. She shook her head. Her eyes were filled with rage, and she grabbed him by the collar. "Shut up. Don't say anything like that. He is alive. We have to get some help. I am calling my father. We are taking him to my pack." Edwina said. She was feeling immense pain in her heart. Edwina is not his mate. But he means the world to her. He is her everything. She never wanted to leave him but he was happy with his mate. Edwina thought she would come between them; it would cause problems. She knew that Marcus could not love anyone more than her, if she were in front of his eyes. He would not be able to do justice to his mate and his relationship. So, she left... But looking at his state. She was regretting leaving him. "Edwina, look," Jackson called her. She came out of the bubble of her thoughts. She saw Marcus' breaths become even. The black wound was healing, then it was coming back. It was the effect of poison. But his wolf was still there, healing it. So, that means they have a chance to save him. "Where is Luna? Where is Isabey?" Jackson panicked, looking in all directions. He knew that the mate bond was so strong. Maybe Isabey's blood can heal him but she was nowhere to be seen. He ran and searched everywhere but he didn't find her body. It only meant one thing they had taken her with them. "Who are you looking for?" Edwina shouted. "Edwina, we can save him. His wolf is still there. Maybe Isabey's blood can help him. She is his mate. My wolf can feel Magnus." Jackson said with a glint of hope in his eyes. "Jackson, I think the ceremony wasn't completed. Look there is no mark on his neck, that girl cannot help him." Edwina gritted her teeth. "Jackson, he is healing. It's his wolf. We have to call for help. Go bring Reuben here. We will leave here before the council comes here." Edwina said. "I am calling my father with a few warriors. Go." She said then she dialed a number on her phone. Jackson got up running back to where he left Reuben. Jackson ran to him looking at the wounds on his body. Reuben was terrified. He was shaking with fear; there were claw marks all over his body. His eyes were lifeless. "Jason...ugh, Where... Is Jason?" He said with difficulty. Jackson sobbed. "Come on. We have to take you from here." He grabbed Reuben's hand. "Ugh, I wi..will... go but not without Jason." Reuben groaned in pain. "Reuben, he is dead," Jackson said. "No... I tried..to save him. They... They shot him with sil..silver. I saw him." Reuben said crying in pain. He was going to lose consciousness. Jackson wiped the tears from his face. "Reuben, be with me. Okay, we are going out from here." Jackson said. Ruben barely hummed. He grabbed Reuben's shoulders carefully and then pulled him up. He was unconscious and he was unable to stand on his feet. So, Jackson took care of him. He placed his hands over his shoulders then started walking back towards Edwina. Jackson saw her trying to get the arrow out of Marcus's chest, but she was in pain. Her hands were shaking, and she was sweating so badly. "Edwina!" He called her. "Jack, do something," She cried. "I talked with Dad. They will be here in some time, but we have to take this arrow out of his chest." She said. "Let me help him. I will do it. I will take out the arrow. Come here. We have to stop the bleeding from Reuben's wounds." Jackson has to be strong. If they have a slight chance of saving him. He will not back away. Edwina went towards him. They both made Reuben lie on the stage. "Edwina, try to stop his blood with some cloth. I am going to help Marcus." Jackson said. Edwina looked at his face. He nodded his head. "Trust me." He said. She then went to find something to stop the blood oozing from Reuben's wound. Jackson went back to Marcus. He saw the suit that he brought for him. Today, when he left him. The smile on his face. He was so happy. He was so happy that at last he would be united with his mate. Jackson felt a ball of tears forming in his throat. He saw that his hands were also shaking. Why does it hurt so much? Why does he feel like someone had stabbed him a thousand times? Marcus was the person who never showed his weakness in any situation. But Jackson was weak looking at him in this situation, which caused an immense ache in his heart. He was feeling Magnus's whimpering. "Magnus, I am here. I am here to help you." He whispered. Jackson then closed his eyes, gulped, and then started pulling the arrow out of his chest. He groaned. Jackson didn't wait. He pulled out the arrow in one go with his shaky hands. Marcus threw up blood from his mouth but he didn't wake up. He was still unconscious. Jackson took off his shirt and then wiped the blood from his mouth. He saw the wound in the chest was healing. Suddenly he felt a presence. Jackson growled. Edwina was sitting beside Reuben's body. Her hands were pressed on his wound with a cloth, and she was trying to stop the blood. Edwina also felt it... "Dad. They are here." She said to Jackson. Jackson could calm his wolf that was on the verge of coming out. "Dad, we are here." She shouted. Edwina's father came with his warriors, but looking at the destruction. All of them were shocked and heartbroken. Jackson saw Alpha Damien coming towards Edwina. His face was pale, looking at the condition of the pack. "Oh, moon goddess. May their souls rest in peace." He said with a very sad expression. He then came towards Edwina. "What happened? Who attacked? Where is Marcus?" He had so many questions but they didn't have the time to answer any questions. "Dad, we don't know. We have to get both of them out of here. Only they are left alive. We have to get out of here soon... The council will be here any minute." Edwina said in a panic. "Okay, Edwina. We are here. Don't worry." Alpha Damien hugged his daughter. He then came towards Jackson. He patted his shoulder, then looked at Marcus. He sat on the ground, then picked up the arrow to examine it. "He is poisoned. Wolfsbane." Alpha Damien said. "I took it out of his chest. He is healing." Jackson informed him. "Son, his wolf is alive. But we cannot say anything about his human form. Come on. We have to get out of here now..." Alpha Damien stood up. He called his warriors. The boys came then picked up Reuben walking back towards their cars. Jackson and Alpha Damien picked up Marcus, then started walking back towards the car along with Edwina. Edwina sat in the car with Marcus's head in her lap. She was still crying. "Edwina, you have to be strong for him." Alpha Damien said. She didn't say anything, she was just looking at his face. "Alpha, I have a request. I know I cannot do anything about all the dead bodies here but I wanted to bury one dead body with all the respect. I want to bury him in your land if you permit me." Jackson said trying to hold back his tears. Alpha Damien looked at the pain on the boy's face. He can understand that the boy has lost everything. He nodded his head. "Who?" He asked. "My best friend. Jason." Jackson was unable to hold back his tears. He was crying. Alpha Damien hugged him. He cried like a child on his shoulder. Alpha Damien and Jackson went back towards the pack. "Where is his dead body? Show me. My warriors will take him with us." Jackson showed Alpha Damien the body of Jason. They brought Jason's body in the car then started driving back towards Edwina's pack. Jackson turned around to see from the back mirror of the car. The council members arrived at the scene. Now, they will burn all the bodies there... After the clearance, the land will be given to those who have defeated Marcus.Reuben stood still for a moment after Jackson’s hand fell away from his collar. The air between them remained tense, but something had shifted. The anger was still there, sharp and suffocating, but now it was mixed with something else… something heavier. Jackson didn’t step back, but he didn’t touch him again either. His chest rose and fell slowly, his eyes still locked on Reuben as if he was trying to see through him, trying to decide whether any of this was real or just another lie. “Talk,” Jackson said again, quieter this time, but no less intense. Reuben nodded once, as if he had already accepted that there was no turning back now. His hands dropped to his sides, his fingers curling slightly as he grounded himself. His voice, when he spoke, carried weight, not rushed, not defensive… just honest. “I knew the moment I saw you,” he said. “Not because of the bond… but because something inside me reacted in a way it never had before.” Jackson didn’t interrupt, but his jaw tightened
Reuben didn’t move when Jackson grabbed his collar. The fabric of his shirt tightened under Jackson’s grip, his knuckles turning white with the force, but Reuben stood still, his eyes locked onto Jackson’s. There was no resistance in him, no attempt to break free, as if he had already accepted whatever would come next. Jackson’s breathing was uneven, his chest rising and falling sharply as anger and confusion twisted inside him, but beneath all of it… there was something else. He didn’t want to acknowledge it when he looked into Reuben’s eyes. He didn’t just see guilt. He saw deep pain, it was raw and now unhidden. “Talk,” Jackson said finally, his voice low but demanding. “You wanted me to listen… so tell me, I would listen to you." Reuben held his gaze for a second longer, as if searching for something in his eyes then slowly he reached up and removed Jackson’s hand from his collar. He didn't do it forcefully or aggressively, it was just… firmly. Jackson didn’t stop him but he
Reuben’s cabin. Jackson was standing right in front of his door. He didn't know why he had come here, but he couldn't stop himself. He was with patrol guards, and they left for their duty. And he came to Reuben's door. The bond had not let him rest for two nights; he couldn't sleep properly. The bond had pulled at him again and again, growing stronger with every passing hour, until ignoring it became impossible. But this was not why he was here.At least, that’s what he kept telling himself. This wasn’t about the bond. This was about answers and about truth, about the past that refused to stay buried.Jackson stopped and thought for a second before knocking on the door, he gulped and knocked, his gaze fixed on the wooden door. For a moment, there was no sound, the air around him felt heavy, thick with tension, like something was about to break. The two guards behind him exchanged a brief glance behind him but remained silent. Jackson motioned them to go away, then bowed their heads
Edwina stood near the window of her room, her arms wrapped around herself as she stared as a new day was upon The Black Thunder Pack. The sun rays filtered softly through the glass, casting a golden glow across her face, but the freshness of the morning or the rays of the sun didn't ease the darkness inside her chest. Edwina spent her nights looking after her little boy and waiting for Marcus in their room. But for the past two days, he never visited her once and her night got lonely, she had tried to ignore it, to convince herself that everything would remain under control. But today, he fear felt stronger.Isabey. The name alone was enough to unsettle her.Edwina closed her eyes for a moment, trying to push the thoughts away, but they only grew stronger. She had seen Marcus over the last two days. The way his expression shifted whenever Isabey was mentioned and the way his silence stretched longer than usual. The way his control tightened around something he refused to show. Marcus
The night in the Black Thunder Pack refused to settle even as the moon climbed higher into the sky. Marcus never thought his peaceful life would be disturbed so suddenly, he was ready for his wife's delivery and to spend his days with his son. But he didn't even get time to love him a little bit... His wife was taking care of their son and he can never thank her enough because it is because of her that he can work without any worry. Edwina was not only his wife but Luna of this pack and she is proving it by supporting her husband in every manner. Marcus was still in his office working, the pack house was quiet but nothing felt normal anymore, too many things had shifted in too little time, and at the center of it all was Jackson. Jackson stood near the window of his room, his broad shoulders tense as he stared out into the darkness. The training grounds were empty now, the usual noise gone, replaced by an unnatural silence that only made his thoughts louder, his fingers curled slowl
Marcus was already worried about the things happening in the pack; he never thought that one day he would realize that he had taken Louis out of the dungeons because he wanted Isabey to regain her memories. But he was still thinking about this decision, he could not do anything in a hurry. He came out of the dungeon, but he didn't go back to the pack house. There was still one thing he needed to do: he had to go to Reuben and talk to him about Jackson. The night deepened as Marcus walked toward the outer cabins with steady, his steps controlled and his expression was calm, but his mind was anything but at peace.Louis’s words echoed in his head, mixing with everything else that had begun to spiral out of control—Isabe’s return, her lost memories, the unknown threat hunting her… and now Reuben. His Beta was absent and avoiding him, also avoiding his duties. Marcus’s jaw tightened slightly, that was something he would not tolerate. The cabins stood at the edge of the pack, it was quiet
"Interesting! I was expecting something cheap from you, Louis." Marcus said. Louis growled and moved out of the circle. It was now Marcus against these ten warriors but Louis was not feeling any kind of fear in Marcus's body. "You will lose your ten men, it was not a good move, I was expecting you
Isabey opened her eyes. "Shit!" She muttered. Isabey saw a blurry scene before her eyes. But due to a dizzy head, she was unable to understand the situation. "Ugh, who?" She groaned but she didn't get a reply. Isabey then realized a wolf was dragging her inside the pack's borders. What the hell i
Louis entered the room. Isabey was sitting on the chair. Louis saw Isabey drowned in some deep thoughts. He felt it. She had been behaving a little strangely for a few days. She also has not visited the pack land for a few nights... Louis was happy that she was becoming normal. But she was not nor
Alpha Damien, Jackson, Edwina, and Reuben were sitting in the pack office. Reuben can see that Jackson was gritting his teeth. He hates him so much. He felt a fiery stare at him, but he didn't dare look into Jackson's eyes."Reuben, you have to tell us, all about this pack," Edwina said."Ahm..."
