Chapter 5

Adeena's P.O.V

"Are you sure this is okay?" I ask Lauren and Valerie.

Kalan's other sister was already inside my room waiting with tons of shopping bags filled with clothes and shoes. Valerie, she and I are the same age, she's a splitting image of Kalan, the black hair and the blue eyes, they have that part checked.

Lauren was brunette, she said it was from her mother, the other two got their looks from their father, I think I've met him once when I was younger, never got a good vibe and my parents asked me to stay away from him when he came around.

"Oh my goodness, you look so cute!" Lauren beams clapping her hands together.

"Really?" I ask nervously, trying to smooth out my dress.

"Yeah, have you never worn any other kind of clothing?" Valerie asks curiously.

"Nope, strictly royal gowns and dresses, nothing else" I pouted.

She moved me to a full length mirror to look at myself.

The white sundress hung mid thigh, with little lilies on it, my favorite flowers, she gave me a blue ripped jacket to wear and some boots, I looked different but in a good way.

I've been living inside a palace for almost 20 years, I had no idea what it was like to look like this.

"Well, you live here now and your boyfriend is filthy rich, so you can wear whatever you want" Valerie winks.

"My what?" I choked, my eyes going wide.

"Dee, can I call you Dee?" she asks politely.

"Sure" I nod and she nods proceeding.

"Kalan is practically your boyfriend, you're the Moon Goddess's daughter, you should know these things" she says.

"I know some things" I mumbled trying to sound convincing.

In all honesty, I know a few things, I wasn't prepared okay.

"I'm sure" she chuckles, "but I'm here to help you with whatever you need" she offers.

"Me too" Lauren smiles.

Aww, I miss my sisters.

Erika was away but it was always me, Noah and Athena, I miss them.

I'm going to miss them even more when I can't visit often, Mother said it won't be as easy as when I was living there, I have more responsibilities now.

Kalan sensed that I was staying away from him but didn't say anything, he just stayed away too. After what he did and said, I'm staying as far away as I possibly can.

I've heard about the things he's done to other people,I just never thought he would be so calm ad collected like he is now. From what I've heard, he's done some pretty horrible things.

He's killed two Alphas already but has only taken over one of their packs, I'm pretty sure that makes him a little darker than many other wolves and a tad bit more insane.

Killing an Alpha here can land you into a different place, I don't like to talk about it because Father despised those tales and we only heard bits and pieces, up until now my sisters and I don't speak of it.

"What's that smell?" I ask from where I sat at the kitchen island.

"It's bacon" Isaac answers flipping whatever it was inside the pan.

"Bacon?" I ask with raised eyebrows. "As in pig?" I inquire.

"Yes?" he answers unsure, looking over at Kalan.

Who doesn't seem to care what we're talking about, busy in his own world looking through papers.

"I've never had it" I shrugged.

"Oh, I thought you were going to say you're vegetarian" Kalan mutters flipping his papers.

I flick my finger and a light wind blew them away, not far enough because he caught them before they could land on the floor.

He turned to look at me but I look toward the delightful plate being placed before me.

"Bacon, eggs and pancakes" Isaac smiles handing me a fork.

"Be careful what you feed her Isaac, wouldn't want the puppies to try and eat her up again" Kalan comments.

Isaac looked between us and laughs nervously, again, I am about to flick my finger again but Kalan gave me a daring look, casting his eyes at me and then looking away.

"Wow, you two are getting along just fine" Valerie remarks from the table where she and Lauren sat.

I've never acted like this before, it's like when I left my home everything I knew went out the window, I was suddenly talking back and getting irritated easily, I was so calm before I came here, absolutely no one could get me to talk back to them, matter the misunderstandings.

"Wow, you guys eat like this everyday!?" I blurt out, removing the fork from my mouth after tasting the bacon.

I've never had bacon, Mother hates it because it's full of fat, but she eats roasted pig, that lady is something else. I was missing out on all these wonderful flavors of goodness.

"Uh, yeah" Isaac answers again, still not sure how to respond.

"May I please have another plate?" I ask him almost eagerly.

"Kalan and I actually have some work to do-..." Isaac starts but he's cut off by Kalan.

"Just make her whatever she wants and meet me at the Valley in half hour" Kalan says getting up with his papers.

"Okay" Isaac chuckles.

Kalan leaves and I finish my food, another plate coming up.

Lauren left for school, leaving just me and Valerie alone here. Isaac also left to meet up with Kalan, so it's just us here all alone in this big house.

"Those boys I saw earlier, who are they?" I ask Valerie.

She looked up from her device at me then put it down to give me her full attention.

"Those were Kalan's closest friends, he used to play football in high school, so they're all pretty much ass kissers for his Majesty" she answers with an eye roll.

"Oh, he's athletic?" I ask her. "Didn't know that".

"Yep, there's a lot you don't know about my brother, but you will in due time" she smiles warmly.

"Okay" I nod deciding to drop the topic.

So he's athletic, he's a complete womanizer from what I've gathered and he doesn't play nicely with others.

"I can tell you're bored, Kalan gave me the keys to his car and his card, let's go shopping" Valerie suggests.

"Really?" I ask, don't blame me, the only places I've over gone to shop was the our dressing hall, where our dresses and gowns were hand stitched by the best, I've rarely explored the outside world.

From what I can tell, it's different here from the Moon Kingdom.

"Yes, I can buy you a phone and you can get a milkshake" she says happily.

"A what shake, do they shake the cow before milking it or something?", I was confused alright!.

"I love your sense of humor" Valerie laughed helping me up from the couch.

She can't be serious, that was genuine question.

Okay, shopping?.

Was fun.

I'll just say that, it was relieving to finally be able to shop for myself and pick out the clothes that I wanted, it was a hard pick but it was worth it, it was totally worth it.

And the milkshake thingy, not a cow that was shook.

It was an actual drink, kind of like a dessert, I got like three of them, I can't wait to tell my sisters about that, although they probably have had it before because they get to leave often but I don't.

"Kalan is going to skyrocket when he sees this bill" Valerie laughs looking at the never ending paper.

"I didn't mean to buy this much stuff" I answer but she only laughs.

"He doesn't care Adi, I told you that he's your boyfriend now, he'll buy you anything even if he doesn't want to, he'll spoile you, trust me" she assures opening the car door.

I've been inside a car dozens of times, my parents can transport from place to place without a vehicle but whenever we're all going out they don't teleport, they hire a driver from somewhere to take us.

Erika has to ride a horse wherever she goes, her and the other warriors, now that, I couldn't do that.

"Oh, we gotta get home, Kalan's almost there" Valerie gushes hastily.

Like he'd kill her if he showed up and didn't see us.

He wouldn't dare.
