Chapter Forty-One- Chase

As I was in a meeting I get an urgent mind-link from Steven that we were under attack. I close out the video meeting with a quick explanation about the attack and went out and shifted. I begin fighting and tearing throats out of rogues when all of a sudden, they left. I was puzzled, what did this mean?

‘Alpha, the prisoner has escaped.’ I got a mind-link from a guard.

‘Jacob?’

‘Yes sir,’

‘I will be right there.’

I ran to the cells and shifted back to human form. Putting shorts on that were handed to me I went down and saw two of my guards with their throats torn out and Jacob was gone. I roared so loud that the walls shook.

“I want him found,” I commanded.

Now I understood why the attack was short. It was a diversion to get Jacob out. Why do they want him so bad? It’s as if he rules them or something. Why would they risk so much to save him?
