“This isn't playing out how I imagined it would!” I hissed into the receiver of my phone as I checked my environment to be sure that I was alone.

“Hello to you too. Don't they teach you kids manners in your fancy school? And they call us barbarians!”, she said, her voice rich in obvious amusement.

“I don't care for pleasantries! The Alphason is here swearing his allegiance to her and she isn't even on school property!” I hissed at her and heard her sigh.

“It just means that the Alphason's heart was never truly yours to begin with. It has nothing whatsoever to do with me. Though, there is always a way around pesky little things like mate bonds and love. I can have you sorted out. But I have scratched your back for too long with nothing received in return. That doesn't sound quite right, does it?” I felt something cold run down my spine at her implications.
