Cade's POV

“Dad!” I said as I got to my feet. He waved me to sit down and pulled out the other chair to sit down himself.

“Well? Why are you looking for witch and werewolf mates? Are the rumors true? If they are true then we have a serious problem on our hands,” my father said and I sat down with a sigh.

“Nothing has been confirmed, dad. Anaya said it's not true but there is no such thing as smoke without fire, you taught me that. I want to be prepared either way, if it's not true, then somebody is going to pay seriously for it. If it is true then we have to find a way to move forward without hurrying Anaya or her family. Chief Raines has been nothing but loyal to you and this pack, we can't take it for granted,” I said to my father in a steady voice that didn't mirror the storm that was brewing with intensity in my gut.
