Amara's POV

Coming back to my restaurant brought back so much feelings, too many and too fast. The building stood just how I remembered it. From a distance, I saw people trooping in and out, and my heart clenched as memories flooded me. This had once being my dream come to life, my sanctuary.

And now, standing before it again, I didn't know whether to cry or smile.

I wondered if coming here might be a mistake, but I trusted Damien completely, so I stepped out of the car. But I held onto him, as if he would help me share the emotional blow.

Getting to the entrance, am image of Jared flashed in my mind, happily helping me set things up, and coming over when he was free just so he could spend time with me.

Thinking about him always made me feel guilty. But now, for the first time, I felt something different. I felt at peace, feeling as if this was what he would have wanted. He did tell me that he wanted me to move on.

Still thinking, I didn't realize the moment someone zoomed up to

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   SS2—19: Bossy

Killian's POV I took Adeline to the bathroom to get her cleaned up, all the while ignoring the raging boner tenting up in my pants. Adeline seemed to notice. Because when we came out of the bathroom, she pointed at it. "Does that not hurt?" Of course she was still blushing, like she was not on the bed trembling and asking for more just a few minutes ago. "Don't worry about it." I pulled her close and placed a kiss on her forehead. She practically melted. "I have nothing to wear tonight." She said. "My clothes are not comfortable enough, and I can't repeat them even if they were." She only had a towel around her chest. "Don't worry, there are some few nightgowns in the dresser that will fit you just right." Her eyes widened. "I thought you said you just got this house and you didn't have time to stock it up." "Exactly," I said, "that is why I only have a few. There are about three nightgowns, but I will get more tomorrow." "Did you plan to make me stay tonight?" Sh

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   SS—2: 18: First of many

Adeline's POV I took my top off, and my jeans followed after. Killian's breath hitched, but his expression didn't falter. "Good girl." The praise made my skin tingle. "But you are still wearing these." He approached me, brushing his fingers along the edges of my bra. Then my panties. "I need everything off." I shut my eyes, mentally preparing myself—my heart was pounding, my breath was coming in shallow pants. This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. He stood behind me, hands trailing my hips upward, his touches light as feather. "Breathe, baby." I did, but then I gasped as his hand worked their way to my inner thighs. "Relax. Trust me. You're in safe hands." I nodded. "I want to unclip your bra now. How do you feel about it?" His voice was quiet, the kind that somehow sank straight into my bones. And I found it so incredibly sexy that he asked me that. I swallowed hard. "I'm okay with it." "Look at me when you say that." I turned, meeting his gaze over my should

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   SS2—17: Every last piece

Adeline's POV Killian waited for me until I was done with my food, before we went to his room. My heart was racing like crazy as I wondered what was going to transpire between us. What he would do to me, how far he would go. I was nervous, but I still wanted it all. He closed the door behind us with a soft click that somehow sounded louder than it should have. I could hear my own breathing. It was loud and uneven, and I was certain he could hear it too. He didn't touch me immediately. Instead, he leaned against the edge of the table near the window, watching me in silence. I swallowed, current zapping through me as I watched him undo the first three buttons of his shirt. Then he rolled up his sleeves. "Come here," he said, voice low, smooth, and commanding. I swallowed hard and took a slow step toward him. Every movement felt deliberate, as if my body was hyperaware of the space between us shrinking. When I stopped just a few inches away, he reached up, brushing a loose strand o

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   SS2—16: A taste

Killian's POV Adeline was fascinating. One minute, she was blushing and too shy to look me in the eyes. The next, she would be demanding things from me like she actually owned me. Now, she was jumping away from me like I was after her life. "Who's calling?" I asked as she took out her phone to check. She shrugged. "I don't know. It's an unfamiliar number. Do you think I should take it?" I frowned. "That's your choice." She picked up the call, but she frowned the moment she heard the voice. I also could not help but eavesdrop. At least, to make sure nothing was wrong and she wasn't in any kind of trouble. "Addie, please I need to talk to you." I heard a guy's voice from the other side of the phone. Her frown seemed to tighten the longer she stayed on the phone. "Addie, I'm in trouble. For real this time. Adeline, please, I know you are still mad at me, but you will not let me be charged..." I took the phone from her before I could stop myself. I already knew who it was. "If yo

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   SS2—15: Alone time

Adeline's POV The weekend could not come fast enough, but finally it was here. I had called Killian early this morning just to make sure he didn't change his mind. He was already on his way. I asked him where we would meet, and he said that I shouldn't worry about it. He apparently knew my dorm, and he was coming to pick me up. Should that had scared me a little? Maybe. But was I scared? Absolutely not. Some time in between him saving me from that night club and finding out we were mates, I had given him complete trust, and just hoped that he would not take it for granted... because that was a very smart decision to make. I stood in front of the large mirror in my room. I had worn a white crop top with golden chains attached to the ends. Then I put on a big pair of jeans. My hair was packed into a ponytail, big hoop earrings on my ears and matching bracelets around my wrists. I applied makeup— nothing much, just enough to enhance my features. I was satisfied with my look now, aft

  • Alpha's regret: Omega's second chance   Ss2—14: Lessons and longing

Adeline's POV "Tell me what you just said." Cindy demanded, hands on her waist dramatically. Unfortunately, I was back in school. And for the first time in a long while, I didn't feel like coming back. I kind of enjoyed my stay back home. Maybe because I shifted and got to bond with my family more. Or maybe because Killian's pack was just less than two hours drive from mine. It was night now, and my three friends were showing any sign of leaving any time soon. "I went to visit the man from the club at his house." I confessed. While Zara and Cindy thought it was a bad idea, Lisa was over the moon. "I knew that there was something electric between you two the moment I set my eyes on him." "Lisa, that's crazy." Zara frowned. "She don't know this man, don't encourage her." "Exactly. She just dumped one asshole as she rightly should." Cindy said. "We need to make sure that the next is not an asshole." "He's not." I interjected quickly. "He's a great guy, y'all will see." I badly wa
