Alpha Navier's POV.

I had intentionally told the guards to bring Mira into my office. She had done exactly what I had feared she would do in just a day since her arrival.

I blame myself for that, I shouldn't have given her the freedom to move around the pack when she got here. I should have personally taken her to her room and locked the doors instead of assigning her to the kitchen. But that was about to change.

As soon as I confirmed my suspicions.

“Alpha, we are here.” The guard announced at the door.

“Come in,” I yelled.

I watched her with disgust as she was dragged in by the guards. She was shaking in fear, and from the white trail on her face it seemed like she had been crying.

As soon as they entered, I dismissed the guards coldly and turned toward Cole, the witness. “Is she the same lady you saw with the wolf yesterday?” I asked him.

Cole nodded his head and pointed at Mira. “Yes, I'm very sure. I saw her speaking to a man I didn't recognize, before I could get there the man transformed and leaped into the woods.” He answered, his voice shaking.

“Why didn’t you report this to me before?” I asked as I pinched the bridge of my nose.

Cole looked down at the ground in shame before he spoke. “I assumed the man was a member of our pack, and he was disturbing her when I got there.”

“Interesting.” I was trying so hard not to hit Cole because he was one of my favorite guards, who had always performed well in their duties.

And I knew that Mira might have acted pitiful, so that Cole kept her shameful secret for her. So I decided to direct all my anger at the culprit, not the victims of her evil acts.

“You can leave, but expect your punishment tomorrow at the training ground.” I dismissed him and turned back to Mira.

After Cole left, I fixed my eyes on Mira for like fifteen minutes before speaking up. “What do you have to say about the rogue that crossed the borders?” I asked her.

Her hands trembled as she signed, "W... wh... at..."

"Stop your stuttering, you liar!" I growled, causing her to jump slightly. She looked at me with unshed tears in her eyes, the fear evident on her face. "You don't even know who I'm asking about, right?"

Why was she already crying when I hadn't even begun to deal with her? Guilt washed over me at the sight of her tears, and I felt a pang of pain in my chest, but I quickly pushed it aside.

"Then I will speak in the only language you understand." I said, taking threatening steps towards her. "Who is the man that was seen with you? Your lover or your sex slave, you slut?"

I stopped right in front of her and pulled her to me, so that we were inches apart. I could feel her trembling as hot tears ran down her cheek. “You can't manipulate me with your fake tears. It only makes me hate you more.” I spat.

She flinched as I stepped closer, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Her fingers trembled at her sides, curling inward like she wanted to disappear. But she couldn’t. Not from me.

She shakes her head and she leaned backwards away from my touch, but I wasn't letting that happen as I moved in closer. She fell from the shock and landed on her butt.

"You couldn't even last a day before sneaking your lovers into my pack. Was it that unbearable for you, huh?” I yelled at her.

She shook her head no and signed other things I don't understand but I knew she was only trying to make excuses, and I'm not having that.

“This is what I get for getting mated to a fucking stealer wolf. You are nothing more than a whore who can't help but spread her legs to the next available wolf. I should have rejected you when I had the chance.”

The words felt right, but why did they feel wrong, too? I clenched my fists. It didn’t matter. She was a stealer wolf. A liar. And I would break her before she destroyed me.

And for a fleeting second, I hesitated. Her silent sobs hit something deep within me, but I crushed the weakness before it could take root. She deserved this. She had to.

"Since you're so desperate for a man's touch, you'll have mine. Tonight." My voice was low, mocking. I smirked as she stiffened, her tear-streaked face filled with horror. Good. Let her be afraid

I stood up and walked to the door. “And I have two warnings for you. Number one, stay away from other men, because if I see you spreading your legs for anyone other than me, there will be trouble. Number two, I must meet you at the training ground before I get there.”

****

When I arrived at the training ground, I spotted Mira standing at the center of the field, wearing protective gears, and the sight made me chuckle darkly.

You won't be needing that." I smirked when I got to where she stood. This isn't training. It's a punishment for whoring yourself out."

She flinched and lowered her head.

"Take them off, now." I ordered in a low, authoritative voice.

She sucked in a sharp breath and slowly removed the gear. "Now, run."

Her brows furrowed. She signed something like—How many laps? I don't know how I understand her sign language when I have never learnt it.

But surprisingly, I could understand her a little.

She stiffened. A flicker of disbelief crossed her face before she quickly masked it and took off

From the corner of my eye, I saw Ethan approaching, with displeasure written all over his face.

I knew he must have heard the punishment I gave Mira. He is a thorn in my flesh, when it came to Mira.

“Navier,” he called as he reached me. “A hundred laps for a beginner is too much. You’re being harsh on her.”

I kept my gaze on Mira, watching as her legs wobbled. “She’ll survive.”

“She isn’t a warrior, and you know that.” His voice edged with frustration. “Why punish her for something that isn’t her fault? For all we know, the man might be harassing her.”

My jaw tightened.

“She’s my mate, not yours,” I snapped, turning to face him fully. “I will train her the way I see fit.”

Ethan sighed, shaking his head, but he knew better than to argue further.

“Take them off,” She gasped at me in shock, and reluctantly took off the tears from her body.

“Run one hundred laps around the field.” I barked at her.

After two hours of watching Mira run around the field she came back to where I stood, panting and heaving.

I should have pitied her as my mate, but I didn't. All I wanted was to see her suffer.

“Make me dinner.” I spat before leaving the training ground.

  • Alpha's unwanted mute mate    chapter 14

Mira’s POV The world felt hazy, like I was stuck underwater. I fought to open my eyes, but they were heavy, pulling me back into the dark, but somewhere above me, voices drifted in and out."Is she dead?" Someone asked coldly, making me wonder who it belonged to. But then, everyone wished me dead which wasn't surprising.I even wished desperately for it."Goddess! Navier! I told you she wasn't ready for this level of training, but you wouldn't listen. Are you trying to kill her?" An angry voice, laced with concern, shouted. "Let's just get her to the hospital, dammit.""Let's wake her up with a bucket of water," a third voice suggested.I couldn't identify the voices except for second, which was Ethan's, as my mind was still foggy. Before I could process anything else, a sudden splash of cold water jolted me awake. As I became more aware of my surroundings, I looked down and saw that my clothes were wet, and Navier was holding an empty bucket, standing a few steps away.My heart san

Mira POV.I awoke the next morning feeling exhausted and worn out. Memories of the previous night flooded my mind, filling me with dread at the thought of going to the training ground.I glanced at the wall clock and saw that it was almost eight."Shit," I cursed in my head, jumping off the bed. Despite my fear, I knew I had no choice but to get to the field as early as possible before he arrived. The thought of being punished for lateness spurred me into action.I quickly bathed and changed into clean clothes, making a mental note to wash the dirty laundry piling up from the day before. As I left my room, I noticed maids heading toward Navier's quarters, whispering and laughing as they climbed the stairs. That cruel, pampered bastard was likely waiting for breakfast in bed. With so many maids catering to his every whim, why had he insisted on making me his personal servant? Why couldn't he just leave me be?Oh right, he made me his personal maid just to have me around, for the sake o

Mira's POV.I forced myself back to my feet, with the help of Beta Ethan who was looking at me with undisguised pity in his eyes. “Are you okay?” His voice was low, concerned. “I don’t know what Navier was thinking, making you run a hundred laps on your first day of training.” His frustration blends into his tone.I offered him a weak smile and nodded, but I didn’t dare sign. If I did, I knew I’d break down completely.I felt the weight of stares from the warriors nearby. Some looked at me with pity, others with barely concealed anger. Their Luna, a weakling. I dropped my gaze to the ground, my stomach twisting. They must resent me and probably sympathize with their Alpha for being saddled with a mate like me. No one wanted a liability. I smiled at him weakly, nodding in response to his question. I knew that if I tried to sign, I would only break down in tears.Ethan’s voice pulled me from my thoughts. “You should get that wound checked at the hospital,” he said, nodding toward my s

Alana's POV. For a moment, nothing happened. Alpha Navier didn't speak or move. Then, his growl broke the silence in the room. He slowly looked up to stare at the visibly shaking guard."And you're just telling me this now?" he snarled, his voice gripping with anger and frustration, though I couldn't read his expression. The guard flinched, his head bowing in submission to his Alpha. "We tried mind-linking you, Alpha, but... your mind-link was blocked," he answered, Bowing his head as a sign of respect.I could feel fear roll off him in waves, sharp and acrid to my heightened senses. As a stealer wolf, I've always been able to pick up on people's emotions and voices to judge what they are feeling on the inside."Where's the wolf now? Has he breached our walls?" Alpha Navier asked in a soft yet strong voice. I felt the urge to shout at him to get the fuck up and investigate what's going on, but who am I to order the Alpha around, especially the one who hates my guts? The guard hesita

  • Alpha's unwanted mute mate    chapter 9

Mira’s POV The tension in the room was suffocating, as we all waited for Alpha Navier's response. He didn't respond immediately, as he sat back in his chair, his sharp gaze flicking between me and Carrie. His face showed no expression. I held my breath, waiting for his response. Finally, he shrugged and said, “She’s not worth my time,” before calmly returning to his meal, as if I meant nothing to him. His words struck me like a whip. I had hoped—foolishly, that perhaps he might step in and defend me, even after all he’d done. But his cold dismissal cut deeper than I’d expected, because he was my mate. Across the room, Carrie smirked, her face showing the satisfaction she felt. I could feel tears burning at the edges of my eyes, but I forced them down. I wouldn’t cry. Not here. Not in front of her. Life had never been fair to abominations like me, and today was no different. I felt a hand on my dress, brushing the splattered food on my dress, and I flinched before I realiz
